rebelmswar Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 People in the UK can't get a sausage biscuit from Hardies but it wont stop me bitching if the biscuit is dry.
sloth_frattelli Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 You could always write to Jimmy Saville...?

Gav Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 So for some time ive been wanting to get to see a rovers game in person but the only thing that is stopping me is living in the states. and it bugs me when those who get the chance to go to games as Ewood sit here and complain about it were as im in the states just wishing i could get to see a game but cant and am just happy to see them on espn playing. Sometimes we take being able to attend Ewood on a regular basis for granted Ectric, I certainly do. The people on this site are only a small minority, and not really a true reflection of the bulk of the fan base, most have reservations about the changes at the club, but are happy to see how things go. I hope you manage to get over to see a game in the future, and thanks for reminding me just how lucky I am to live so close that I can attend regularly.
Mattyblue Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 You reckon GAV? I have heard much more vociferous criticism of the new regime away from this board than on here.
Ectric Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 Not a problem Gav and yes i do hope i can get over there to see a game would be an awesome time.
Alan75 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 It's amazing how being within spitting distance of Ewood can change your attitude towards going to games. For nearly 20 years I travelled over 200 miles to each home game any day of the week, have even travelled for youth team games. It was as if each game was an away fixture planned to a tee. Midweek get off early to avoid the M6 traffic. returning in the early hours of the morning was one big adventure. Travelling through blinding blizards on an Easter after a home game against Arsenal at Ewood brings back frightening experieces as well. Now that I have moved back north the buzz of attending Ewood is not the same, whether its the influence of Big Sam football, the dominance of the big clubs, no affinity with the players or old age I dont know. I realy hope that Kean and Venky can stimulate my taste buds for football at Ewood this coming season or I fear that the weekly pilgrimage to Ewood will slowly drift away.
rebelmswar Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 While I was stationed in a that lovely lump of land south of Italy I utilized Mac flights quite a bit to watch them. As a service member you should try the same for long weekends. The pilots are @#/?s and try and terrify the hell out of you but its cheap.
