Stuart Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I think he is class. Class B? Class of '83? Special needs class?

broadsword Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Am i missing something? Is it that difficult to understand? It's not difficult to understand, but it seems a poor choice. We've let a promising player go who we could've kept on the books and let go on loan, and replaced him with someone at the tail end of an unremarkable career who wants to start a coaching career (doe she have any badges yet?) Appears to be neither fowl nor flesh. Or is it fish nor fowl? Or maybe flesh nor fish? Either way, a puzzling move I think, but hopefully won't have too much impact. EDIT: if Kean's really that good, he can be third choice and recalled from loan in an emergency.
youandwhosearmy Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I heard he's Anderson's half brother. Thats why he has signed
broadsword Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Him and Myles Anderson both have triad symbols tattooed under their armpits.
Hughesy Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 He makes sense as 3rd choice, if he is simply 3rd choice AFTER we let either Kean or Bunn go out and get some vital experience - they wont progres on the bench or in the ressies

I bet if someone took a crap on your head you would thank them for such a nice hat.

Personally, I'd prefer to see the youngsters in the Reserves rather than a 37-year-old.

Personally, I'd prefer to see the youngsters in the Reserves rather than a 37-year-old. Jobs for the boys. Never mind the FACT neither of them have ever produced a single player of the calibre we need, lets all just be happy we have a GK coach for the academy. Bryan said it first, Kean out on loan and recall available on 24 hours notice, job done. Oh sorry Kean isn't pals with Lowe. PS Warner has only been doing any sort of coaching for less than 6 months, says it all. Juniors for Juniors.
otto man Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Class B? Class of '83? Special needs class? Quality Beefy, Quality! Hughsey you are great, you really are, it must be lovely going through life with such a positive attitude about everything. I bet if someone took a crap on your head you would thank them for such a nice hat. And another!
Lurid Coat Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 Very inspiring signing. I haven't felt this excited about Rovers signing a player since we swooped for Sir Bruno Berner
OJRovers Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 WARNER = What happens when Kean picks his own transfers Leave it to the experts
Lurid Coat Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 Good to see Kean tying up his former Fulham colleagues. Get Collins John, Tomasz Radzinski and Zesh Rehman as well, and we'll be laughing!

I know it's the lower level guys that make the best coaches, but come on, has anyone seriously got any good feelings about this? he barely looks good enough for third choice.
rebelmswar Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Will it be this anthropologic find or the young lad from Monaco who will be the first signing? The race is on, the tortoise or the big rabbit? Oh and I don't include Anderson as he had an unfair advantage.
rebelmswar Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I actually can't believe the overreaction by some people on here. We're talking about a third choice keeper. Is he really any worse than Jason Brown? Yes. Jason Brown would not get misty eyed over recollections of the Churchill years and does not have an addiction to sucky sweets.
Billy Castell Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 You never know, he may be a rubbish keeper, but a great coach. I assume he has the right badges.
rebelmswar Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 You never know, he may be a rubbish keeper, but a great coach. I assume he has the right badges. Badges! Think he may have the tunic award ribbon for fighting at Rorke's Drift.
67splitscreen Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Gone down under, personal terms not agreed. Good! say hello to skippy.
Foxxx Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Wellington Phoenix is my local team, been a mixed reaction to signing a 37yr old Keeper as one of our imports. And to make this transfer period more depressing on both fronts for me, we have handed a trial to Maceo Rigters also it seems.
Billy Castell Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Rigters? What a fall from grace. Wellington is a lovely place though, so I'd like to go there if I was a player who has disappeared from the headlines. Maceo might actually do well providing Wellington don't go bust like all other kiwi A-League teams.
