The same Cryer that told us Kalinic HAD GONE to Honk Kong.

The same Cryer who told us we were after Marica when he'd agreed to sign for Shalke.

What did Cryer say today in the LT about Goodwillie.

Cryer then corrected himself when he found out the information he got was wrong, which nicko doesn't do.

It was nicko that released the Mirror article online stating that we were after Marica, less than a few hours before he signed for Shalke

They've both got things wrong Josh so one is neither better than the other would you not say. At this moment in time Venky's have made them both look stupid at one time or another.

He is trouble Barton and takes it wherever he goes, but he is the type of player we lack, someone with a real personality which winds the opposition support up, Stand up Robbie Savage, However being given a free transfer is just a myth, cos although Newcastle won't get a bean, Barton will cost a small fortune as his signing on fee will be excessive as will his wages.

If we could sign him i'd be pleased, but its 99% unlikely, The interest has already been high, but one thing I respect him for, Newcastle's turmoil has not been in the public domain but he has publically aired his view on it.

With so many things at Ewood appearing wrong over the last 6 months and info not being forthcoming from the club on the record, I bet plenty would have liked one of our players to have gone on twitter and said exactly what is going on behind the scenes?

However we all have to rely on off the record stuff from people who are lucky enough to get a slight insight. We should not have to result getting info through these channels, and the club should be more open with its supporters

Looking increasingly likely now that the Raos/Venky's are here to screw as much out of us as is possible then move on, no doubt about .

Shame we can't get him here as much as a tool as he is he's a great player and would transform our midfield, I don't think Kean could handle him though he's already shown that he can't cope with badboys with El Hadji Diouf.

Or alternatively HE CAN cope with bad boys and has shown Diouf the door because of his strong stance against those who seek to undermine him...

people like you who chased nicko away, not the same on here without him.

I'd argue that the site was a lot better before he joined, doubt you would know that though.

Anyway, would love Joey Barton in our midfield, better than anything we currently have, but it won't happen in a million years.

Good! We should steer clear, yes he's a good player, but some things in life are more important than that, he is a total low life who has bought some decent PR, however, a leopard doesn't change his spots, as he demonstrated on a few occassions last year. EHD was bad enough, but this guy just takes it to a totally different level that I never want to see in our club colours!

If your partner is continually undermining and devaluing the relationship & you've made every effort at reconciliation then I think divorce would be a perfectly valid solution - especially if she/he was costing you 30 grand a week while they were f**king somebody else

Maybe you could live with that mate, but not me!!

For me this is one of those things where lines have to be drawn. We all complain that footballers are overpaid and idiotic off the pitch. And then we wonder why football is in the state it's in when we endorse him coming to the club to contribute on the pitch, "idiot or not".

Joey Barton is a criminal. I don't want him anywhere near our dressing room and I'd like the rest of our team to be playing with good eye sight. :blush:

No, you don't understand. It's okay to sell our good name down the river if it's for a half-decent midfielder.

Ok so it's nothing like marriage then :D but I still don't think you can say Kean can cope with bad boys (in the context of channeling a player to perform on the pitch, e.g. Bellamy, Barton) by getting rid of them!

Barton could have been a much better and popular player if he wasn't such a mentalist. Good player, but with more baggage than Gatwick airport. If he wasn't a criminal, I'd be all in favour of him coming.

Apparently he's been on Twitter again hinting he might stay at Newcastle just to annoy the board. If he did decide to stay for the last year of his contract, it would be interesting to see if Old Rapey (Alan Pardew) will play him. Whilst Barton was one of their best players last season, Pardew owes a lot to Llambias and Ashley who were old friends from trips to Llambias' casino. This was how he got the Newcastle job, and the board members may just ask Alan to leave Joey in the reserves.

If he dies stay Billy and continues his crusade for the right of free speech, he'd better make sure he only tweets once a month.

Adding up all of the fines he'll get, he'll be paying Newcastle to be there!
