LeChuck Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Maybe he fancies his chances of getting more games now that Jerome Boateng has moved to Munich.
John Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Not really thought about it that much, however would probably favour Onuoha joining if possible. A defender should have been a priority when Jones left as he was one of our best players. We missed the boat with Johnson so need to ensure we bring in quality, Nelsen is getting older and sadly in the treatment room fairly often these days.

We missed the boat with Johnson so need to ensure we bring in quality, Nelsen is getting older and sadly in the treatment room fairly often these days. Onuoha's pace at the back would help cover the full backs and perhaps stop our channels being so exposed with the current Gung ho system.
philipl Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Preston Blue was posting the truth on this thread. My goodness doesn't mid-July seem so far away now? The Happy clappy brigade should just read the five pages of this thread and treat as not gossip but reality. The club was telling porkies when it was denying Onouha approches just as it has told porkies when it has denied having approaches made on its behalf for any number of other players. This is a measure of how muddled Rovers have been this season and why, now we are desperate, Rovers' credibilty in the transfer market is non-existant.
lukey Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Soooo..... What's the status of this transfer now, any chance?
BRFC95 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Soooo..... What's the status of this transfer now, any chance? He's still wanted.
briansol Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Should be highest on the list in my opinion. He can cover both right-back and centre back which we desperatly need. We're not gonna find an experienced striker good enough within our price bracket, so might as well use most of the money on Onohua and bring in another "potensial" striker like Goodwillie.
Gav Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Everton, Blackburn and QPR have made bids to sign Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha, according to his representative Kia Joorabchian. Zac spoke to Onuoha recently, and the lad himself said we'd not been in for him, that may have changed now though. Good player, the sort of player we need, but I'd imagine he's out of our price range unless we sell Samba

However if we signed him and George John I think it will be because Samba is off.

We might be able to steal a march on QPR as they are going through a takeover right now? Wishful thinking on my part!
alexanders Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 We might be able to steal a march on QPR as they are going through a takeover right now? Wishful thinking on my part! Are you his agent?
philipl Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I would be happy to get Onouha but I think we have missed our chance on this one.
Kai Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Are you his agent? I wish! the name was misspelt in the post - 'Kai' should've been 'Kia'

When does he sign for Rovers ?
tchocky Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Bill Kenwright has just said they (Everton) need to sell before they can buy. Good news for us I guess. Easy choice over QPR if those are his choices?
sweet Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 3 club rule, especially since it is coming from his agent?
A cup of beans Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Everton, Blackburn and QPR have made bids to sign Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha, according to his representative Kia Joorabchian. Good player, the sort of player we need, but I'd imagine he's out of our price range unless we sell Samba i didnt speak to nedum. my brother did and he's good friends with him. my brother spoke to him, last night unconnected to football, but he did reiterate.. nedum hasnt heard of rovers interest. he mentioned the discussions with bolton and of everton being keen. not rovers city might make him available for loan... and other source has said loan to everton is very possible. HE IS NOT INTERESTED IN GOING TO QPR. if a loan is there to be done.. we should get in there!

Easy choice over QPR if those are his choices? Unless hes had enough of life in Manchester and would fancy a move to the capital? Also I think QPR maybe stupid enough to offer crazy wages.
philipl Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 If Kia is his agent, I guess we can draw conclusions about why Rovers have been so stand offish. Anderson/Kentaro are blackballed but the Raos are too far away to see the Anderson/Kean axis.

LeChuck Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Everton always say that, then go and spend £16 million or so. Hmm...can't recall that ever happening. Everton hardly spent anything last year, they won't again this year either.
