MarkBRFC Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Hmm...can't recall that ever happening. Everton hardly spent anything last year, they won't again this year either. Think it happened once, around 3 years ago, they were pleading poverty and then went and shelled out £15m on that chap with the rediculous hair, Fellani is it?

heysham rover Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Kia now saying we have made an offer for the player, strange that Onouha would know nothing about this?
LeChuck Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Ah yeah, forgot about Fellaini. Three years ago is quite a long time ago though, Everton have been skint for a while now.
Iceman Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Everton always say that, then go and spend £16 million or so. Reminds me of Big Hair Fellaini
BRFC4EVA Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Considering he's from Manchester, surely we would be in pole position with regards to him not having to move away from home, uproot his family etc?
Mc Love Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Bit disappointed that we didnt sign Onouha even on loan!
Hughesy Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Everton tried but failed. Another mercenary of a footballer who is happy to sit on a bench and collect his excessive wages! Wrong mentality – stay clear!
joey_big_nose Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Ah yeah, forgot about Fellaini. Three years ago is quite a long time ago though, Everton have been skint for a while now. Also Andy Johnson was a record transfer. And our own fella Yakubu!
tchocky Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Ah yeah, forgot about Fellaini. Three years ago is quite a long time ago though, Everton have been skint for a while now. Did they not buy him with the [ridiculous] Lescott cash?
A cup of beans Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Everton tried but failed. Another mercenary of a footballer who is happy to sit on a bench and collect his excessive wages! Wrong mentality – stay clear! nedum staying at city is not his fault. clubs who wanted him didnt persue their interest. cahill stayed at bolton, everton didnt persue once they knew jagielka was staying, he didnt want to go QPR, and rovers didnt bid. ive advised everyone of all this throughout the summer. he's not a mercinary.
pick32 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 cant see him staying at City he will probably join someone like Leicester on loan until January.
A cup of beans Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 cant see him staying at City he will probably join someone like Leicester on loan until January. he's hoping that he's in higher demand in january (injuries/ clubs desperate for defenders)
67splitscreen Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Everton tried but failed. Another mercenary of a footballer who is happy to sit on a bench and collect his excessive wages! Wrong mentality – stay clear! Really can't agree there Hughesy, we don't know why the loans were turned down for sure. Other than according to Nicko City wanted him sold, IMO a very fair price if true at 3.5m His club turned down both Villa and Everton down last night according to Nicko, so I assume they stuck by their guns, sell or he stays. At the price Nicko mentions very disappointed we could not find the extra to push him over the line, a good investment in so many ways. Hope we get another chace at him in Jan.
