Unless the owners are using their "valuation" as a cunning bargining tool to get the price up above the £4mil Dnipro want to pay that im sure i read about the other day.

the two main positions we need filling is defensive midfielder and a top striker who can get 15 goals a season , if they were the only 2 signings we make I would still be happy, still think we also need that player who can open up a defensive with one pass, where is tugay when you need him, we have never replaced him, witsel is the kind of player we should be snapping up at that price, considering last season ac milan where willing to spend 20 million on him but got rejected 7 million is a steal and at 22 we could get 4 years out of him and sell him and make a profit, this is where we will see the true venkys now go get your man before it to late

What you've written is eminently sensible but you've told someone else to get down to Ewood with a banner saying "Venkys Out!" because they're "negative'.

If Venkys don't take your eminently sensible advice, what will you be doing?

I agree a good start is a must 6 points from the 1st 4 games will do nicely, just wish there was not such negativity from so called supporters, give them a chance and they will deliver. I can foresee 4 signings and a great team spirit, you only have to read how they talk to each other on Twitter to see they have a bond. The players I mean.

Totally and cringingly naive and disrespectful to supporters who care and have some insight borne out of experience.

If that's the price we really are asking for him there is no doubt that he won't be going anywhere so we may as well accept that he is still available for selection here. If he can just learn (or be taught ) how to stay on his feet he could be a very good striker for us yet.

Personally I dont think he has been given much of a chance, I believe he would come good.

Actually due to the Jones transfer it could be true, Venky's appeared to be hurt by the way Jones left and the price he went for so they may want to make sure any future players don't go on the cheap. That being said if the story is correct that price is ludicrous, I do rate him a lot more than our 'coach' but he aint worth that fee.

I actually think this is good news. I think Kalinic can come good. But if someone wants them, they'll have to pay. No soft touches here.

Keep Kalinic, don't give Benjani another contract, and get 1 striker in.

I think so also. Roberts, Kalinic, Blackman and one other (hopefully proven) striker (but not RSC!).

Good stuff. No need to let Kalinic go on the cheap as long as we're missing strikers. I for one wouldn't mind him staying so I don't see the point letting him go unless the price is good, although 12 mill is a bit much :)

Better Not Be True! man utd want 5 million,he is brutal can't pass or tackle and has no pace, he does have a very good shot on him and would score the odd spectacular goal but overall he is muck.AVOID

Looking at the two names it gives, it's not a bad idea for them to try, seems they know ways to get round paying more money then needed

Agreed, the headline sounds awful at first but may not be too bad in practice.

That was only based on the 'A' list that was leaked and just a estimate.

Surely though for example....We wanted to buy Peter Crouch, he has an agent, surely we have to deal with HIS agent to complete any deal...thus, paying Crouchs agent...who will be like any other agent and want a shed load of cash?
