Commondore Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I agree with you. we should keep him and play him up front with Roberts and Hoilett and Olsson on the wings. I think it is about time we face facts that Kean will sign RSC when the Copa America is over. we might aswell get used to it. Roque just scored one and passed to another in Paraguay's 2-2 draw against Brazil. If the prize and wages are reasonable I'd still have him here again.

Fraserkirky Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Are we in for Bendtner? Been left behind by Arsenal.
he6rt6gr6m Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 At £88,000 a week would doubt that. If this happens, I will cry. Seriously. Already said the pressure might have got to him at Juve, and he may very well succeed here, but I still want someone who has more chance of putting it away than spending over a year without a goal in league competition. Hear he wants to stay at Juve (on £88k, I'm not surprised) but if he goes anywhere, I'd think it'd be back to Parma.
Steve Moss Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Venkys to employ family memebers to bid for players not Agents http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/sport-confidential/2011/07/10/blackburn-owners-employ-family-to-broker-transfer-deals-102039-23260166/ Why not? Makes sense to me and it is a happy sign that Venkys is in it for the long hall.
AggyBlue Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Venkys to employ family memebers to bid for players not Agents http://www.people.co...02039-23260166/ I didn't realise the club used agents when we signed players, I always thought the chairman led our side of the negotiations. Well knock me down with a feather
True Blue & White Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 So [according to nicko] we want £12m for Kalinic but will only pay £4m for Wietsel. If True, Venkys..... ..are you Daniel, are you Daniel, are you Daniel Levy is disguise?
Veevs Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Why not? Makes sense to me and it is a happy sign that Venkys is in it for the long hall. Of course makes perfect sense to me.. A - If they have been involved in the deals we have struck this summer then they are obviously the men for the job long term B - Why hire someone experienced to do a job.. I mean look how well Kean has done so far.. must remember that next time I hire someone. C - And of course footballing knowledge of the highest level is prevelant in India.. and Brazilians know all about the English league it's wage structures, deals etc etc... On a more serious note reckon we must be going for RSC, Hargreaves, and woodgate.. well we do need a striker, defensive midfielder and a center back.. might explain the mass exodus from the medical department we have at the moment.
Hekla Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Keep Kalinic and release Benjani, it would be a shame to lose Niko and to keep such an average player like Benjani. Also a good sign that we could be using Venky's people rather than the likes of Kentaro etc. We need to move forward quickly.
chaddyrovers Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Roque just scored one and passed to another in Paraguay's 2-2 draw against Brazil. If the prize and wages are reasonable I'd still have him here again. I was impress tonight by his performance and fitness. Maybe he is getting back to his best. If we did sign him then I would go Shane Long or Rondon or a striker with pace.
socngill Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Like the £50m he said we had to spend? Getting sick and tired of reading this. He said.... BASED ON THE LIST HE HAD BEEN TOLD ABOUT IT WOULD COST US £40 - £50M TO GET THEM. The ability to read really should be mandatory before being allowed to make posts. As for Kalinic, I'd rather he stayed, especially as he's our only real striker at the moment, so I'm glad they've put a stupidly high price on his head.
PAFELL Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 rovers owners want 12 million pounds for Kalinic http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Blackburn-Rovers-to-demand-12m-for-Nikola-Kalinic-article763257.html What a joke our owners are. They would never get 12m for kalinic. Oh well this will be used for lack of transfer activity. 'sorry we could not buy anybody as we could not get 12m for kalinic'
beastlove Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 If we can't afford a player for 7.5 million EURO not pounds and on one 1 million Euro per year we may aswel give up because the players we will be signing will not improve the team,to progress in this league you have to be willing to spend some money not just talk about spending money.7.5 million euro for Witsel is a bargain. Not trying to be funny but have you actually seen Wistel play? If not how is he a bargain ? He looks good on football manager. I do think we have a lot of midfielders at the club .. Ok not great midfielders but decent. If it is a choice then I would rather spend the money on strikers and a creative midfielder. What a joke our owners are. They would never get 12m for kalinic. Oh well this will be used for lack of transfer activity. 'sorry we could not buy anybody as we could not get 12m for kalinic' It is a starting point not the final price. It is like selling a house. You put it up a bit knowing people will try to knock t he price down

Another indication the owners do not have the money. From a big transfer kitty, which has no dwindled to - well nobody knows. To slapping on a silly fee for kalinic, To now train our own agents. Whats next, Mrs D coming over to clean the stadium. Do these people really believe that they can take on the agents. Do they really think that they can get to grip of the role agents do in a matter of a few weeks. Transfer deadline will be open and shut before they are ready.

Not that this is necessarily connected but I do recall him mentioning Jerome Anderson quite a lot!
cruz Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I see people are still absorbing random made up stuff in red top rags like sponges
Paul Mellelieu Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 It does sound unlikely that Venkys will be able to grow their own agents, but if true, I applaud them for being the first owners to take a stand on agents' fees.
AggyBlue Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I see people are still absorbing random made up stuff in red top rags like sponges What else is there to discuss? What's the weather like where you are? It's overcast in Adlington

chaddyrovers Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 What else is there to discuss? What's the weather like where you are? It's overcast in Adlington Cloudy here in Blackburn Our club doesn't seem to be going anywhere at the minute. we don't have a transfer budget we haven't make any bids for any players Kean doesn't seem to be allow to make bids for players he wants If we don't make any signings before our trip to India and Hong Kong then it is time to worry. I'm not looking forward to next season at the moment.
jim mk2 Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I see people are still absorbing random made up stuff in red top rags like sponges Dean Jones is the People / Mirror sports editor so not quite as "random" (whatever that means) as you think.
chaddyrovers Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 is Bendnter in talks with rovers??? Sky sports news are reporting that Bendnter is talking to an unnamed club? is this us?
Tooogs Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Doubt it. Wouldn't mind him though. He definitley has a point to prove. Just the sort of player who would do well at Ewood.
