I know it's completely different. Was just putting that for argument's sake. Still haven't seen him myself but from what I hear about him, i could get on the books.

Hang on! You're defending his signing, I and others despair about it! Let's get it right! :P

John Jensen on Thomas Kahlenberg

Says that John Jensen is interested in getting Kahlenberg to the club from Wolfsburg, and that he impressed Keane when he trained at rovers in martch. Apparantly Wolfsburg were initially ready to let him go on a free but now they might want a rather large transfer sum for him and that might ruin the move.

Sorry if this has been linked before.

Kahlenberg can play really well but rarely doesnt. Don´t think this is the right type of player to get into the club to be honest.

wow another name to get the fans excited it good to see venkys delivering on there promise

Wolves have made 2 signings, O'Hara & Swansea's keeper.

But yeah, your overall point is valid. Doesn't mean we shouldn't be looking to wrap up deals early though.

Not all club's needs are the same though. For example, you point out that Spurs have not signed anyone yet. No-one doubts that they have good players and good cover in all positions (except perhaps centre-back). In fact they have too many players and need to sell some before they buy.

We, on the other hand, have an ageing squad, have lost our best prospect in years and will likely lose our captain as well. We need several players and quickly because if we don't hit the ground running in August we will be involved in yet another relegation struggle.

Not all clubs are as needy as we are is what I'm saying.

Daniele Portanova is true, you have asked his agent Simone Canovi about him.If you have any sense thats all you'll do.

Guess we all missed it then.. not linked with him as far as I know (32yr old drop out who did ok).. linked with wham a few years back.. Dario Canovi is his agent, and can't see any of his players neither.

Read the first quote from Mr Policano.

Wow if this is what to expect from this years transfer window the signing of Benjani last year will look like a spending spree..

Sure, its not straight forward to buy a new player, but how hard can it be..

Am I missing the point here I thought I heard reported a while back Kean flew out to India & had his list approved & signed off so the big question is that all lies what he discussed? Also very strange why have 3 lists why not one big list? all seems very fishy to me hopefully things will get moving over the weekend Nicko please confirm regarding the list being approved by those in India? Thanks.

No! Sorry-----responded to wrong post! While I'm on this, Stoke, for example. haven't actually bought anybody but they have bid 14M for the 2 want-away Birmingham centre-backs. Wolves similarly have bid 5M for Mills which has been rejected.

We haven't got this far as yet.

With the owners hellbent on keeping the transfer targets and transfer activity a secret, I believe there's much more going on than we're aware of.

Why for the last few days have some of the usual outlets been rehashing old stories?

Been told (which to be fair, Nicko has stated) that the owners are furious about a number of stories that have been run and are doing their best to create a media blackout. Also that we've started doing a significant bit of business.

May very well be poor info but I wouldn't assume that nothings happening just because it hasn't been posted on here.

Spot on Kenwoo, if the owners have, some belatedly, learnt that the best way to conduct business of this nature, is as mcuh on the QT as posible, then great. Perhaps we can just go back to the days where we learn when we see him holding up one of our shirts?

I know it's not always possible, because so many vested interest's are in play, but all this doom and gloom around re hashed stories, or the lack of new ones, is really going a bit far at this stage isn't it?

Keep the faith! We've been in far worse situations than this over the years FFS, have you forgotten them already?

Ok, I missed a few. I bet fulham fans are well excited about burn and arsenal fans believe jenkinson will make them title winners?

Irrelevant. My point is you skewed the facts.

Why don't you include warner or mYles anderson in your footer of players signed? By my count we have twice as many players as spurs and arsenal!

Because I'm going by this...

I have also checked the Rovers website and can't find any confirmation of those signings, the same goes for Baez.

I also didn't mention the quality of the players signed. Which players out of that list do you think rovers should or could have signed.

Craig Gardner

Sebastian Larsson

Jamie O'Hara

Demba Ba

Yohan Cabaye

Kevin Nolan

That's not who I want necessarily but players that we would have had a realistic chance of signing and would have improved our squad. If We didn't have Robbo I'd have loved Friedel back for his swan song.

Jamie O'Hara is the only player I would have considered. The rest are below average premier league players who would have struggled to get into our starting 11, which is what we need to strengthen now.

From my perspective I can accept that we havent signed anybody yet. That isn't the concern. The concern is that it sounds like we're potentially missing out on decent signings through an indecisive management structure. The players we have been linked with are good quality but if they dont arrive then what difference does it make that we were linked with them??

I'm sorry but the players on that list are all Premier League quality players and whether or not they would improve our side, they will improve the teams they signed for.

Myles Anderson and Tony Warner will not improve our side though. Baez is a 16 year old.

At least half the clubs have already strengthened their team, we haven't, and we need to more than most.

We have become a joke club under venkys and kean that nobody wants to sign for. I'll believe were gonna sign anyone decent when/if it actually happens.

The only way to change things for us is to appoint a proper manager that will show potential signings we mean business. hmm, Hughes and O'neill are still available.
