In other words we are a shambles with possibly want away owners who want to spend little or nothing on the club, they are more interested in opening a bloody academy in Pune.

Those other words appear to be your words. The post you quoted said none of those things.

I'm renewing my season ticket on Wednesday in good faith that come the first game of the season we will be stronger then our last outing at Wolves. If not I will be one unhappy chappy. Not too much to ask is it really. Just strengthen a bit. If it was up to me given the players we had been linked to/in with a shout with I'd love to see us line up with...

Robinson

[salgado/Onuoha] [samba/Mongongu] [Nelsen/Hanley] [Givet]

[Hoillet] [N'Zonzi] [Witsel] [Olsson]

[Kalinic/N'Doye] [Cisse/Damiao]

WITSEL...Benfica hoping to do the deal tomorrow...[thought that one was made up]...not agreed the final details of the fee...Rovers were considering a low bid or even asking for him on loan [that's a 'you couldn't make it up' moment].

MIRANDA...Atletico Madrid player tomorrow.

MONGONGU...maybe in for talks this week, maybe not.

TRIALIST...oh dear.

KEANE...price dropping...hope the committee knows.

AGENTS...quite clearly no longer the Kentaro and SEM domination that was [although that will no doubt be contradicted].

FAMILY AND FRIENDS...yes, there is an idea to use a Venky or two to do future deals...my oh my...

Thanks for the update, Nicko. Your information is very welcome. At least it shines a bit of light on the issues.

Probably a reflection of the state of utter chaos.

Plenty of talk all right.

This is excatly what I feared to be the case with the Rovers. Venkys had better stop talking and start doing.

But does anyone want Keane even if his price drops?

No.

Nicko - thanks for the information, its been a long few days reading the through page after page with nothing really to go on. The trialist that you mentioned...I was just wondering if it is someone who has played in the premiership before, possibly last season? I know trialists dont always have to be without a club but West Ham certainly offloaded a few players at the end of the season when their contracts expired.

Any extra scraps of info are much appreciated :)

Nicko, Do you expect Rovers to have signed someone next week Mr D said we should have someone signed in 2 weeks one week to go.

Mongongu should be straightforward. Surely.

The wait for a striker is the one that is the biggest concern. All of the expensive ones have yet to find a home and seem to be off the radar.

Even the average ones are expensive.

So all the best with that search. You never know two might come along at once. ;)

Still think Nedum Onuoha would be a good signing for us.

Wasn't taken to the US on City's current tour and is currently hanging around the training ground with your Craig Bellamys.

We're fecked if we don't get AT LEAST one decent striker in, but I'll claim that we're fecked if we don't properly replace Jermaine Jones as well. I'd absolutely loathe to go back to the post-Savage and pre-Jones days. Our central midfield is looking as horrid as our strike"force". Even Nigel "Can't pass a ball to a team mate stood more than three yards from me" Reo-Coker would be an upgrade from our current shower, let alone Vaughan, Gardner, Nolan etc.

Surely relegation would be more expensive than getting a couple of half decent players in?

Glad to see you back Nicko..

The trialist part is a tad worrying, any chance you will be releasing the name later? :)

Not potentially getting Jones back is a big blow - he was a major part behind our 'upturn in form' at the end of the season.

There has not been much mentioned on any potential domestic/foreign loan deals yet.

Praise the lord Nicko is back

Back onto topic: The fact that we missed many ships points to the fact that Venky's are learning this business not as fast as we would like them to

The bolded bit is not a fact. It may be correct (we don't know), but it is based on the hearsay of journalists- or rather, their sources. Which are capable of being flawed. So it shouldn't be described as fact.

They were being greedy asking £10,000,000..Venkey's did the right thing not to be blackmailed into paying well over the odds for a 29 year old....

Blind faith and optimism is not my strongpoint tooogs.

I'm not renewing until I see what the outcome of this transfer window holds and even then I'm very unsure about renewing or not. The club appears to be heading for the buffers with the throttle wide open imo. Kean and the Venkey mob couldn't attract a moth with a searchlight never mind a top line player. There is no one at the club any more with the experience or nous to deal with new players terms or negotiate with their agents.

Dodgy though they undoubtedly are I've come to believe that our best hope lies with Kentaro...... How scary's that?
