According to newspaper O JOGO, Standard Liége want more money for Witsel so a deal has not been reached yet.

It will take probably around €10 million and it's possible the deal will include a percentage of a future transfer and/or some kind of performance bonus.

2...However Rovers have already issued a mandate at £12 million to agent Pini Zahavi in a bid to get more for Kalinic.

I believe the owners are looking for very significantly more than £12m for Samba and would dig in hard to get it.

Palacios and Bassong for me as filling 2 essential positions. Would still like Bentley but I seem to be the only one who thinks that position needs filling!

Not the only one - but its not a priority and needs to balanced with the left hand side - we still have players that can fit the bill for the time being ie Emerton /Hoillet -Olsson etc

Centre Mid /Striker are the main with Central Defence once Samba sets sail.

The season starts in a month on Wednesday. If the club want to get players integrated with their team-mates and get used to the coach's tactics and ideas in order to have the best possible start to the season they need to be making moves now.

yeah Harry lives in his own little world, he thinks singing a player for 7 million and sitting him on the bench for 2 years makes him worth 12 million.

He has probably put a 7 million price tag on Freidel already.

Now is a time that we stood up to clubs about what we value OUR players at. Samba no less than £16m….he is a better central defender (currently) than Jones who went for £16.5m rising to £20m and he is better than Cahill who is rated @ £17m.

So like I said Samba (£16m) + £7m for the above – worth a try.
