Roberto Policano Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Hear he wants to stay at Juve (on £88k, I'm not surprised) but if he goes anywhere, I'd think it'd be back to Parma. Parma are pushing hard. According to newspaper O JOGO, Standard Liége want more money for Witsel so a deal has not been reached yet. It will take probably around €10 million and it's possible the deal will include a percentage of a future transfer and/or some kind of performance bonus. Standard wanted £10 million 6 weeks back.If the price has gone down even more reason to move.He would have been a bargain at £10 million. i think bednter will be at an italian club next season, my moneys on ac milan Don't put too much on. Just to clear up something that is apparently being misunderstood. 1...Dnipro want to buy Kalinic at £4 million. They went in for him last week. 2...However Rovers have already issued a mandate at £12 million to agent Pini Zahavi in a bid to get more for Kalinic. God that is insane. Kevin Gallacher is watching the Copa America and he says the Kev Cruickshank is over there scouting for Rovers. ]Who is he watching? Hope it isnt just RSC You have scouts??? Hopefully he has been watching Joel Campbell for Costa Rica, only 19 and cheap too.

pick32 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Don't no why Nicko has wrote that rubbish about us wanting 12million for samba after he has repeatedly said on here that we were looking for more just lazy journalism.
thenodrog Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I would rather we sold him to Spurs I would take Bassong and Huddelstone or Bassong and Kranjcar. Golden rule. Cash only.... No swaps!
thenodrog Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Venkys to employ family memebers to bid for players not Agents http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/sport-confidential/2011/07/10/blackburn-owners-employ-family-to-broker-transfer-deals-102039-23260166/ Arte et Labore ...... Gav Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I believe the owners are looking for very significantly more than £12m for Samba and would dig in hard to get it. ....and why not I say, lets play hard ball, good on you venkys. How many times have we said on here that we always seem to get less than market value for our prized assets?
Mattyblue Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 In theory Gav, getting more than £12million should be applauded, but only if we are actually going to see the money re-spent on players and not to further pay off their investment.
CAPT KAYOS Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Palacios and Bassong for me as filling 2 essential positions. Would still like Bentley but I seem to be the only one who thinks that position needs filling! Not the only one - but its not a priority and needs to balanced with the left hand side - we still have players that can fit the bill for the time being ie Emerton /Hoillet -Olsson etc Centre Mid /Striker are the main with Central Defence once Samba sets sail.
Hughesy Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Spurs want Samba - then we should ask for Bassong, Pavluchenko & Palacios - throw in an extra £7m to make up the difference in values. That would get us a new CB, defensive midfielder and a striker.

Just as an aside why on earth would that post attract a negative mark? Daniel Levy come on here does he? C'mon lets have a reason behind the thinking.
Ricky Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 You are aware that they want £12 for palacios aren't you Hughesy, they turned down £10m from Napoli for him. Spurs will value the players you have mentioned at £30m - £35m we have no chance of getting them in a swap for samba even with an extra £7m!

C'mon lets have a reason behind the thinking. Alas, I am now bracketed as part of the Brfcs Awkward Squad. Where's that heads in sand pic again?
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 The season starts in a month on Wednesday. If the club want to get players integrated with their team-mates and get used to the coach's tactics and ideas in order to have the best possible start to the season they need to be making moves now.
chris Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 You are aware that they want £12 for palacios aren't you Hughesy, they turned down £10m from Napoli for him. Spurs will value the players you have mentioned at £30m - £35m we have no chance of getting them in a swap for samba even with an extra £7m! yeah Harry lives in his own little world, he thinks singing a player for 7 million and sitting him on the bench for 2 years makes him worth 12 million. He has probably put a 7 million price tag on Freidel already.

That would get us a new CB, defensive midfielder and a striker. Bassong and Keane would probably be the most we could get, and i wouldn't be expecting too much change from Spurs with that one either.
True Blue & White Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 You are aware that they want £12 for palacios aren't you Hughesy Sign him up, I'll even put six quid in myself.
Hughesy Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 You are aware that they want £12 for palacios aren't you Hughesy, they turned down £10m from Napoli for him. Spurs will value the players you have mentioned at £30m - £35m we have no chance of getting them in a swap for samba even with an extra £7m! Then no deal – why should we be pushed around? We all know they over value their players anyway. Now is a time that we stood up to clubs about what we value OUR players at. Samba no less than £16m….he is a better central defender (currently) than Jones who went for £16.5m rising to £20m and he is better than Cahill who is rated @ £17m. Pavluchenko or Defoe £9m, Palacios £10m, Bassong £4m = £23m So like I said Samba (£16m) + £7m for the above – worth a try.
John Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 And who has the experience on the Rovers board to help us get the best deals for the club?
AggyBlue Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Pavluchenko or Defoe £9m, Palacios £10m, Bassong £4m = £23m Are those Spurs valuations?
budha Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 And who has the experience on the Rovers board to help us get the best deals for the club? I'm sure our directors Gandhi Babu and Mahesh Gupta are experienced players in the world of football.
Gav Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 And who has the experience on the Rovers board to help us get the best deals for the club? The same person that did the Jones deal maybe Then no deal – why should we be pushed around? We all know they over value their players anyway. Now is a time that we stood up to clubs about what we value OUR players at. Here here
