She's hardly destrying the club, just coming to terms with it. Please share with us what you feel she offers Rovers and what she and her regime have done to help the club? Please dont call me idiotic, far from it, I dont post half the stuff on here because of people like you If you had half a brain you would realise that being a business woman doesnt mean she is good, Crippin and Shipman were doctors, supposed to preserve lives, get my point now, I wasnt calling her crippin, read and digest! And one more important point, Maxwell was a businessman, he killed himself and his family walked away with my pension fund!!
steo Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Venky's are not billionaires, isn't that fact, they aren't in forbes,in a weeks time i wonder will all the optimism drain from those that think venky's are doing a good job if we still have not signed anyone and Samba confirms what we all know that he wants out and Hoillet is still mulling over signing a new contract.
True Blue & White Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Yeah, she's a billionaire business Woman, she must really be thick...FFS. There are only a few female billionaires on this planet and Mrs D aint one of them.
Mattyblue Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Chocky despised the Trust, he is obviously clinging to the dream that once they sold up, the good times would return...
Hughesy Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 She won't be choosing players, but will handle negotiations. I believe she had already put Levy straight Re Keane. Thats not a bad thing. She didnt mess about with the Jones deal and she is the one who doesnt appear to live in fantasy land of her brothers. So has anyone NOT made any signings still besides us? Bolton? Everton? Chelsea? Venky's are not billionaires, isn't that fact, they aren't in forbes,in a weeks time i wonder will all the optimism drain from those that think venky's are doing a good job if we still have not signed anyone and Samba confirms what we all know that he wants out and Hoillet is still mulling over signing a new contract. FACT? Because they are not in Forbes?? FFS how many times has this been discussed on here? They dont have to disclose personal wealth if they choose not to.

Hughesy, please tell me on what planet is having someone that hasn't the first clue about the subject matter be in charge a good thing? Its like you wanting to buy a new video game and asking some random old lady walking down the street to go and buy it for you. She wouldn't know the base price, she wouldn't know where to go, she wouldn't know the system, she would not have a clue. Would anyone wanting promotion so badly that they buy a premiership team NOT want to be in Forbes? I think this argument was used for the dodgy geezer that we missed, so that is not an alluring argument to make.
True Blue & White Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Bolton? Everton? Chelsea? Bolton have signed Darren Pratley and Everton have signed Eric Dier again on loan. Should have said Villa and QPR, I'll give you Chelsea though.
Baz Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 did miranda sign his contract at Atletico Madrid today like you said nicko ? Yep

Do you think she buys the chicken feed @ Venkys HQ dont think so, she will have a team around her. Her introduction to the situation must be a good thing IF and a big IF she takes control.

If she was given a full spec, directed to the shops and was a skilled negotiator, she might be able to be objective enough to go and get the best deal without getting emotional about it. Whereas if the shopkeeper started playing hardball, you might be quicker to give in and pay over the odds because you "really want that video game".

No but I bet she knows how much a bag of scratch costs, how much a normal chicken eats, which is best for layers, which is best for chicks, et cet o ra. You never know, she might be fantastic at it, but tis not the move I would make. Is she the chairperson now?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Another frustrating day of no news, especially when other teams are looking to get transfers completed. Thankfully a lot of teams around us, including Sunderland in my opinion, haven't actually strengthened their actual first XI. So there is still hope that we can get some good first team players in and still be able to challenge for a top 10 position. What baffles me is that we can get four signings in during the January transfer window yet struggle to even bring in players who want to sign for us in this window. Oh and before I forget, I know I am probably reading too much into this but I wonder if this is a slight dig at Venkys? “@TimmoYoung: @cs4christsamba1 What's better KFC or Venkys Chicken?”// kfc

Until she is offered the super special, collectors edition in the metal case for 35 pound more. She could harangue like the best of them I am sure, maybe it will work. Who knows. Could be the Thatcher of Rovers. Eh' Jim. kiss kiss. Its one HELL of a steep learning curve for her though and not much time. That is always the issue.
riverside returns Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 dont we need money before we can buy players! When are we going to get a sponsor? Never???? Seems like we are in a bit of a tight place and cant get out.

Josh Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 If Defoe was offered in a deal with Samba I'd not hesitate to get rid
Tricky Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Spurs to offer Bassong and Keane to Blackburn as part of bid to land Samba laughable... in other words, hes gone to his side of rejects, and asked who fancies playing for us, robbie and seb shurgged and said "go on then'

Gumbi Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 According to the Mail, Spurs are offering us Keane and Bassong in a swap for Samba.
