steo Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 We have cobra is the new shirt sponsor Has that been confirmed? i heard about it but think it was someone messing about on photoshop.
Sandiway Blue Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 We have cobra is the new shirt sponsor Since when?
adsfortheblues Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Since when? I thought this was common knowledge now i may be wrong but I believe it to be true
Mercer Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Malbranque, Jedinak, the trialist Bell (think that's his name) etc. How much further have we to decline yet ? Have Venky's got a supporter left on this MB or in the town of Blackburn ? Early days, give them a chance, let's see where we are on 01 Sept.. IMO, unless we have a change of ownership then we are well and truly stuffed and heading for The Championship. A sad and depressing situation.

BuckyRover Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Do you believe everything other people say or write? Only the negative stuff
HemelRover Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Do you believe everything other people say or write? No, otherwise he would have included Defoe and Witsel in his post. Which would have watered down his negative point.
Mercer Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 We have cobra is the new shirt sponsor Thwaites, local brewer, pump quite a bit of money into Rovers, especially for a company of relatively small size - they will not be amused. Yet another local operator p1ssed-off !

47er Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Are you a passionate Rovers fan Matty? You haven't mentioned that before Spurs are no mugs when it comes to valuations and negotiations. The idea of taking them for a ride with player exchanges is an optimistic one at best. I'd imgainge that they value Samba and Palacios pretty much equally, for example. So long as we don't end up with Jenas and Keane
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Defoe Malbranque Oh come on - missed out on J Jones and Witsel and Malbranque is the man? Completely different player in my book. Not a bad shout for right midfield if cheap enough.
Mercer Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 No, otherwise he would have included Defoe and Witsel in his post. Which would have watered down his negative point. I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell of landing either Defoe or Witsel. The names presently being mentioned Malbrangue etc are, regretfully, where I really think we are.
brian_gallagher85 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Shane long to west Brom? Some of you mentioned him before... £8m is a pretty decent fee for a player of Longs quality. Having seen him quite a bit for club and country over the last 6 months I can see the lad having a very good future ahead of him.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 One thing that is looking clear is that we are likely to have to sacrifice Samba to get any semblance of quality in (providing we can part ex). Cash deal is a no, no.

rover23 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 We have cobra is the new shirt sponsor No we don't. That was a fake Photoshopped mock up.
47er Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 On the podcast when Kammy mentioned we are tracking a championhip attacking midfielder who's under 24 and scored quite a few goals Lewis Mcgugan springs to mind? Replacement for Hoilett--------sob.
JoeBlueWhite Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Thwaites, local brewer, pump quite a bit of money into Rovers, especially for a company of relatively small size - they will not be amused. Yet another local operator p1ssed-off ! This post is just incredible. It should be saved for all future generations of Rovers fans to read. It is the moment when a troll went so far beyond self-parody, they might never be reached again. Mercerman has just set a new benchmark. I bet jim mk2 drops his pipe and almost burns his slippers in amazement when he reads it. I am basically in awe. Spectacular stuff Mercerman.
Mercer Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 and? Have they contacted the club and offered shirt sponsorship? Would very much doubt it. Historically, football clubs have tried to rip the arse out out the brewers on pouring rights' requirements (cash up front), purchase price and mandatory corporate facilities. Even the biggest of 'UK' brewers have become increasingly reticent.

Mercer Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I hope you don't ever work for the Samaritans. Not quite the Samaritans, however, do a bit of part time voluntary counselling. Proves very rewarding. Had no visit from Mr Kean, yet!
