A squillion pages later and have we signed anyone?

have we (Please don't use that word again) as like

some one is taking the ######

we have signed a player.

He cost 7.7 million only three years ago and has 29 goals in 44 international games.

Only 5k a week and was free.

Exciting times.

Patience has to got to be given to Venkys. At least we haven't spent 50m on questionable signings, or thrown in our wage bill in 5 injury plagued free transfers. Save the mass Hysteria for 2 weeks into august.

Patience has run out with Venkys. As you correctly pointed out, they've had 8 months and still have exactly one good call to their credit, J. Jones. The rest have been poor or, as of yet, inconclusive.

And waiting until the second week of August to express our displeasure to Venkys is too late. Nothing can be done at that time.

That's what get me about some on this board. The perpetual desire to put off judgment. To date, Venkys have NOT covered themselves with glory. The exact opposite is true, in my opinion. They've had plenty of time to make positive changes and have instead lurched from mistake to mistake, again my opinion.

Exactly why should I expect improvement on their part at this late stage?

. . . but the club are as afraid to admit such things, much like Mr. Moss and his love of fizzy water and bath salts.

I have no problem with bath salts. I'm not sure I know what you mean with "fizzy" water. Is it Coca-Cola? If so, I quite like it. None of that diet stuff please. Full caffeine and sugar.

a striker an a free plus Benjani??

WOW!! We really are going to be a force next year!?!

I wonder if the owners get sarcasm?

That said, I think Bejani is not a bad acquisition, as a squad player.

I'm not sure if I agree.

It doesn't matter if the player is a free transfer if he's a really good striker. If he does the job, doesn't that mean we got ourselves quite the bargain?

Buying a striker who costs you money doesn't necessarily mean he's going to guarantee you more goals than someone who is on a free transfer.

Unless you're talking about those really expensive ones like Defoe.

If the player is still on a free at this late date, the odds are that he isn't very good.

Venkys problem appears to me that they are cheap. When they need to be spending 10 million, they're looking for frees. That might work if you have a manager like Sam, who can make the best out of a bad situation. To date, Kean has not demonstrated that he has ability.

I firmly believe that Nicko throws out a position and a rumor on here when he is struggling to cone up with a story, then people throw names around, he picks one and writes the story.

Everyone feels the news to be true as they added to it, sky runs with it as it was on here, and Cryer has to deny it all and gets ever more depressed.

Cunning Mr. Nixon, very cunning but I am on to you.

Can't get much past you, Rebs.

I may do that one day out of badness.

However today is NOT that day.

The geezer, agent, even family are all here. Quite interesting to see the level of research going on around here.

Who said nobody is interested in transfer tittle-tattle.

No matter how vague...

Teteh Bangura. £2.5 million.

Mohamed Bangura. £2 million.

Both would struggle for work permits.

Talented boys.

What's more impressive is that it is Teteh's first season in the Swedish League, last year he played in a fourth tier club and now he has scored 14 goals in Allsvenskan. That would be like someone from Blue Square Premier started scoring for fun in Premier League...

Can someone please buy the two of them since they play for the arch rivals of my favorite team here in Sweden... It's no fun when they keep destroying defenses and score for fun.

Yeah it's Tevez.

'I will never return to cold, dark horrible Manchester.

Blackburn, on the other hand...'

I genuinely, genuinely would not be surprised with these mentalists in charge. It's brilliant.

It's not the Swede is it? Gurndt or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if you believed it was grabbi either :D
