yeti-dog, i know u werent having a pop at me, probably my fault for going off the handle, when someone brings something new into the equation, its all a bit like a roler coaster around here at the moment, one minute we are high then the next minute everyone feels down, i wish we had some solid answers one way or the other. Sick of info changing every 5 minutes.

I dont rate Gardner. O'Hara would have and Ba possibly. In any case, they're not the sort of players I'd like to think we'd be signing in this window.

Ohara is average at best. Ba failed a medical at Stoke and has a history of injuries. He might be ok but might end up a grella.

Just off the topic slightly, what is happening to David bentley . No one is rumoured to be interested in him. I would have him back

3 day old news,

why does nobody give the let any credit, but praise the tabloid writer when he steals there old news,

Please tell me which tabloid told you there is no fee, and also who told you the wage....other than quotes from canadian radio mixed with old quotes, we have seen nothing.

£40k a week - NO RELEASE FEE!! Superb business if true.....1st big brownie point for Venkys

Rovers in SWP hunt??

Sniff! what a waste of a good player. Given his stocks are at an all-time low and the world knows Spurs want him off the books, what better bargain would there be for us?

And both have said that the present set up has been totally shambolic during the past week.

True. But didn't Kamy then proceed to say that things look like they're now back on track?

So perhaps the sky hasn't actually fallen in after all...

the lancashire telegraph broke the news of kean flying out to canada to talk to the hoilets in person about a new contract, as for having no release clause that would be an obvious thing to assume after the jones fiasco and his quoted salary is also just an educated guess i also assume.

great that hes signing a new deal though.

Well its all fantastic if true, but I'm getting to the point of just taking it all with a huge dose of salt as there have been countless players linked and things said with no real way of knowing what is good information and what is bad.

Generally speaking we all seem to be in the dark...

You are not alone.

There are so many people lining up so many different players within the one club that it is verging on the ridiculous.

There might be another name in the paper in the morning.

Don't ask me to analyse or assess - I just can't tell any more.

People are playing at the game right now.

Might as well join in myself...

Well, unlike other years when we were always linked to poor players, this season we are linked to every kind of player.

The press loves buying clubs and big clubs. They can make up whatever they want, no one cares really.

Just an example that happened today:

this morning: portuguese newspaper claims that Coentrao is upset and had an argument with the manager yesterday.

this afternoon: spanish newspaper pick the story up but uograde it a little bit: Coentrão is now forcing a transfer to Real Madrid.

tonight: portuguese newspapers report news in Spain that Coentrao is forcing his way out...

Funny, isn't it?

Got a love the press!!

If different people are lining up different players, where does the manager fit in all this? Surely, he must have the final say. I'm no great fan of Kean but he must be given a free-hand in selecting the players he wants. I know our owners don't know a great deal about the game but surely the advisors have pointed out that it can only end in tears if the manager doesn't have the final say on who he wants in his team. From what you say, it sounds as if they still haven't sorted out a management structure.
