So either Leerovers and Preston Blue's sources are lying to them, or your sources didn't hear anything concerning Onuoha?

But as you said, you would be only mildly surprised if the deal does go through, so it's not an impossibility?

I heard something contradictory on Onuoha.

I don't dismiss the chance of him going to Rovers.

But at the fee and his wages plus the rival interest I would not be holding my breath.

who's our new 'head of youth coach' and what club has he just come from ??

boom! there's your answer. ^_^

Phil Cannon, who's his mate David Lowe and his mate is Tony Warner. So is it best man for the job or jobs for the boys?

Hodsgon and Kidd spent around £55 mllion in the 1998/99 season.

We came 19th.

the window is far from over, only fools rush in. We don't know 100% if any of Nicko's targets were legit.

Given Rovers poor track record in transfers, I suggest its time to add some quantitative aspects to a very qualitative process.

Zak / Nicko / Kamy - three muskateers, is there a juicy 11 or 10 O`clocker tonight ? I think it should be re-instated as per house rules :glare:

The Fourth Musketeer - Lord Hughesy - should break the info he knows about later on if he wishes. Make it after 10 though, pal.

Watch the name get picked up by several media outlets soon after...

It was quite amusing to see that ripple effect last night.

Is it not a bit unfair and a tad arrogant to suggest there was a ripple effect from the news coming out on here? I'm sure other people got it from their own sources seeing as at least a few people here knew.

Reports in Portugal and Belgium confirming Witsel to Benfica :angry2:

Sorry if this has already been posted

already been broke to us that's why where all under medication for depression with all the freebies flying around at rovers, its funny how much the mood has changed from 2 weeks ago

With Joey Barton out of Newcastle's tour of USA and their refusal to offer him a new contract I would go for him now. One of the best Prem midfielders last year, from the north west and reaching his prime.

Hate to say it but I agree. He's not as good as he thinks he is but he is still a good player

It seems rather strange rovers are searching for freebies/ bargains , take it venkys tact has changed completely from 'icon' stars to entice interest in rovers image / fan base to realisation that we have to rebuild I'mmage somewhat and team ,is it a case of we can't spend the war chest to attract top stars or decided to be prudent with with our buys ?! The exodus of staff cannot be brushed under the carpet and is a concern to me in my opinion,I believe the philosophy of such a staff / management overhaul to be somewhat disruptive . I may be stating obvious but feel better getting it off my chest .either way I shall always support my team and sincerely hope good times come back to ewood !!

Really?

One good thing about the internet is that you can check the time a story comes out.

Nobody knew the first thing about Pavone, who had been here since Monday morning. Remarkable. Quite reassuring too.

The minute it comes out in the Mirror [11pm], suddenly the local paper puts a story out [11.20 pm, not happened often, has it?] and the Daily Mail [at 11.50pm] and Sun follow up too.

Watch it again tonight.

I think TCO misunderstood your statement as the ripple effect taking place here rather than on other papers.

I think that this is another Walker Trust situation in that they are waiting to see what happens before committing any of their own cash...

Personally I can't believe the stick he gets. Ok - he is no Peter White - but it is an entirely different world now - Peter never had to compete with the internet and Nicko/Kammy etc. There are also far more rumours surrounding players going from one club to another than there ever was - with only a very small percentage actually going through. In between this - he has to try to keep in favour with the club locally and with our owners in India.

I think we should also consider - his main club to report on is Rovers - Nicko's web of contacts is a lot wider - and I am sure a lot of his Rovers related stories originate from different clubs and from agents

The news last night was without doubt sourced from this site, in my opinion.
