I've got to say the guesswork is better than the reality at times round here...for the second day running.

Absolute class. Take a bow. Very funny too.

Funnier still I was running Maniche [who is here for the trip] rather than Jorge Ribeiro until about 8 o'clock.

All this fuss for four pars...football, bloody hell.

No idea why you want a left back/left wing back. None whatsoever.

For what it's worth big brother Bruno Ribeiro - the oldest of the three - is a coach but I believe he is quite close to the manager through Portuguese connections. I presume he is the reason why Jorge is here.

It is all too surreal.

Thanks for the entertainment, the chase is better than the catch. Again.

By the way, there is some poor receptionist at the Dunky who is needing a week in therapy following a couple of trick calls today.

will it be a cash buy or is this another free transfer, any news on the striker search, its looking more and more everyday that venkys wont be spending the cash what's your views on this ?is he staying at the dunk i live 2 mins from there lol

I've always thought myself level headed about this sort of thing but I am starting to worry now, we need to be putting concrete bids in for players that will actually improve us yet continue to mess around with free transfers.

I just hope something big is going on behind the scenes but I doubt it.

Nicko how did Pavone play today?

Just to try and get some sort of clarification, are we still in the hunt for the attacking midfielder that Kamy talked about in the latest podcast?

The last 2 nights on here have been absolutely brilliant for the guessing games and the build up. Its a little shame that the 2 players will really divide the fans.

Nicko, Hughesy, Zac - Can we expect another guessing game tomorrow though? Its great entertainment if anything :P

Striker search? Let's hope all of the cash is being kept back for the big one...I stress 'hope.'

And nick round the Dunky to see how many of the Ribeiros are actually there. Have a word with the stressed lad on reception too.

Like I say, the build-up has been better than the result.

I don't want another of these tomorrow. But you never know. ;)

Probably the best free entertainment on the web.

Well Nicko thinks it's too funny what's going on with transfer activity, I am sure that's tongue in cheek but in reality it's shambolic and does no justice to our proud club, me well just back from holiday and no signings so naffed off like the rest of you guys n gals, What on earth is going on, can no-one speak to the venkys, no jurno from any paper got the where with-all to make our case, sick of hearing we are here for the long term blah blah blah. off to bed wondering why i renewed my season ticket !!!!!

Are the moderators on here in the pockets of Venky's or are they just enjoying their Stalinist censorship of any post that doesn't conform to their narrow guidelines ?

Carlos Kickaball isn't original but it sums up perfectly the type of washed-up nevvawoz Latin American footballers Rovers seem to be targetting.

And where's the harm in asking Venky's (again) why they haven't spent any money yet ? Or is that too non-PC, ie not Pune Controlled ?

If you knew the messing around over this one today you would see the humour in it.

I stopped taking this whole thing seriously recently.

Of course, it's amateur hour gone mad...but sometimes you have to remember it's just a game.

The energy and enthusiasm of the people round here tell me the supporters will outlast and overcome any adversity.

Don't beat yourself up. It's not worth it.

Any free agent midfielders being looked at Nicko?

Not heard anything on that position yet. Jedinak was considered. I think that was why Lucas Neill was around last week - he is connected to the guy through his brother-in-law who is his agent.

Palace got him because they have a truly switched-on young manager.

Truth is you need loads of players. Yet you are struggling to even get one in.

I veer between anger and hysterical laughter at the moment.

I know it's scary and a good majority of you do not wish to believe me, but unless this takeover happens in the next two weeks, we are going down.

You can't say that as a fact though, we could sign nobody and stay up, not likely but it could happen.

The 3 promoted teams and Wigan are poor teams.

The weird thing there are obvious targets out there, Reo Coker for example gets mentioned all the time but it makes sense, it just seems that its true that there is something seriously wrong and we cant afford any premier league wages.

To be honest I'm wary about allowing myself to get sucked into this but I'll ask you one question and I'd appreciate an honest answer- this supposed interested party;are they worth getting excited about?

i think it takes more than two weeks to buy a club,or have they been negotiating for a while, these are worrying times being a rovers fan
