let the season just start now, I've had enough of this. and if we are struggling, and Kean gets abuse, then I will not be defending him again. its such a horrible feeling at the moment, when you are linked with all these cheap and free options. trials? ffs, for younger lads maybe, but we need to sort our ###### out immediately or both Venkys and Kean should consider ###### off

Not heard anything on that position yet. Jedinak was considered. I think that was why Lucas Neill was around last week - he is connected to the guy through his brother-in-law who is his agent.

Palace got him because they have a truly switched-on young manager.

Truth is you need loads of players. Yet you are struggling to even get one in.

I veer between anger and hysterical laughter at the moment.

Agreed Kean is not switched-on when it comes to the best interests of Blackburn Rovers.

I actually feel pretty sorry for Kean in this regard. I bet he's as frustrated as the rest of us. It would seem certain promises were made to him which haven't materialised. The mind boggles at what is going on amongst the higher echelons of our great club.

I cannot accept that we're filling the majority of positions with free transfers. Even if we were to spend all of whatever budget we have on one striker, that would still seem a bad way of conducting our business. I'm also astonished that we seemingly still have no irons in the fire regarding a center midfielder. We looked a much improved outfit with a little bit of quality in there last season.

Pavone i can accept. We need numbers up front. But some second rate Portuguese journeyman at left back? Do me a favour! If its for cover purposes, then why can't one of our young lads step up? They have been going great guns recently. Madness!

Errr ? why not ? that is a bit of a bold statement with no substance at all Philip, certainly contrary to what the actual players have to say about Kean and what he brings to the table. I really wish people would lay of him, he hasn`t had the time nor his own blend of players for us to truly judge him, people just took an instant dislike to teh hcap, amplified by teh madness that surrounded his appointment - wish people would get behind the club the manager and the owners and show some support and be positive - it may actually help things at teh beginnign of the season rather than all the doom and gloom - THEN, if things go pear shaped in the first quarter of the season feel free to jump on the old negative bandwagon.

I am a positive person before anyone starts flaming, and I am an avid and passionate Rovers supporter so please don`t question that part !

I am now looking to our young players to step and do the business next season, if we sign no players this window we have enough quality to survive maybe this season, following one without Junior I doubt it.

The state of limbo the club is not helpful to anyone-I actually have some sympathy for Kean at the moment.

The same manager who has pretty much realised every position we are lacking! We needed a box to box midfielder, a creative midfielder and some younger legs! He brought in Jones, Formica and Rochina.

He has realised that Andrews, Grella and Diouf are not wanted or needed! He has always stated that a striker is the most important position to spend out funds!

He seems pretty clued up to me. In addition no other manager would consider working in these messy and unusual times!

I have asked around some high ranking members of BRFC and no body seems to know a Philip from Malta!

I will be supporting the side (and ergo the manager) but Kean deserves nothing, he knew the circus he was getting into, and has peddled the party line from day one. He deserves no sympathy if the rug gets pulled from under him.

Says it all, doesn't it.

Venky's could just be waiting until the Indian trip then will unveil a decent signing and new sponsor................?

Still think it is a couple of weeks before getting too concered on new signings (no harm looking at trialists too).

Malkys mystery man is Bruno de Paula Ribeiro Ingrácia (aka Bruno Ribeiro) from Gremio.....I worked that out last night

There is also a line about him in todays LT saying he has been in town for a few days on trials.

So looks like we have 2 Ribeiro full backs + the older midfield one who isnt fit at the moment all here.

However this may well be part of all the confusion as Bruno Ribeiro is also the older brother of the Maniche clan.

Also in todays LT - Cedric Mongowhatever wants to choose Blackburn over any of his other offers, which include Lille.

Oh the irony of the season ticket banner on this page ... "Take your seat amongst your heroes"?

Surely that should be "Take your seat amongst the free transfer journeymen we signed over the summer, and apologies that we sold one of your heroes to Utd"

I was hoping we would act fast at the start of the window, allowing new signings a full pre-season to bed in. Seems like if we do sign anyone, they'll be learning on the pitch at the start of the season which is risky considering that we need a good start. Don't want to start the season in the lower reaches of the table as anything like this winter's slump will see us in trouble.

Come on Venkys, show us your money!

What surprise. Another Philip claim with no substantial evidence to back it up whatsoever. Seema to me more likely that he wants players signed but Venkys are playing hardball with their cash. That is my opinion btw. Unlike some others I dont try and pass it off as fact...

I wonder if the LET have suffered the same mix up as Nicko nearly did. Nicko himself stated that he nearly went with the wrong one, maybe the LET actually published the wrong one.

Would make more sense than having two players with nearly identical names on trial at the same time.

Explains Cryer's bizarre Tweet clue about him having a discussion with an LUFC fan about their favourite former Leeds player, who happened to be a Portugese midfielder playing between 97-98.....
