Summer 2011 Transfer Window - Part 3.

Rip his contract up, if this is true.

Never rated Diouf and was not happy when he signed.

This is the behaviour of a so-called professional?

Not at my club.

Very ill advised action. Constructive dismissal possibly? Ripping up contracts is a very costly exercise RoverMad86 and only happens in Championship manager. This episode has prob cost us a 6 figure sum in paying up his wages and/or a token transfer value. Maybe this is an insight into why the Indians don't appear willing to hand him the chequebook.

Kean should have had a word in private and kept his d1ck in his pants. He caused the original bad feeling by choosing to side with Colinwanker and throwing EHD to the dogs in January simply for sticking up for a teammate in a heat of the moment incident. Keans as much a manager as my dog.... and she died last year.

I am now looking to our young players to step and do the business next season, if we sign no players this window we have enough quality to survive maybe this season, following one without Junior I doubt it.

The state of limbo the club is not helpful to anyone-I actually have some sympathy for Kean at the moment.

Clutching at straws.

imy you sound strangely despondant. Don't tell me you are beginning to doubt the Venkey mob?

Ever heard of Pascal Chimbonda?

Nevertheless, I agree with the rest of the post. Diouf was one of our stronger performers last season until that point.

Jones didn't play enough games to be a hero before abandoning his hometown club at the first opportunuty

Jones was a hero in my eyes after that triple challenge against Chelsea on his home debut that turned the entire game.

Wasn't to me, it was nothing like losing real heroes like Shearer, Duff, Sherwood, Jansen (althought to injury), Hendry.

These players were vital to succuss most the time.

The problem with Diouf were not his off field antics, but what he delivered on the pitch, which was basicly nothing. No goal-threat, few assists and no pace which is not what you look for in a winger.

But his ball-retention was good! Yes, so true. You could play the ball to him on and he would usually be able to produce a back pass or throw himself to the ground trying to get a free kick. I'll give him that. Contrast this to the contribution of Hoillett and Olsson and you'll see the reason why he was sent away.

So now he has gone AWOL, which probably suit all parties. Hope I never see him in a Rovers shirt again. Big Sam might have use for some good ball retention in the Championship.

For all the cheap shots against Kean, defending Diouf is probably the cheapest yet.

Venky's master plan or maybe im just optimistic?

I think and hope that Venkys are getting these free players because as it has already been stated on here, they were getting annoyed with their transfer list getting leaked, so maybe they are still working on the 'money transfers' and using the free transfers we are signing as cover up. Makes you think that they are trying to divert attention away from the big targets so others clubs dont get wind of our deals and we sign them cheaper?

Another theory i have is that they are waiting till nearer the end of the transfer window to start bidding for these money signing because everyone knows that prices get reduced nearer the end. Kentaro maybe has had a word in their ear? They are a big agent company im sure they know when the right time to buy players is.

Always the optimist!

Did we burn all bridges last time Barry Ferguson was here, or could we still bring him back on the cheap? As much as I've loathed the guy after he walked out the last time, I'd be prepared to give him a chance in the current climate... at 33, still a great ball-player. Going to Blackpool according to the Mirror - surely they can't afford his wages if Birmingham can't though?

Ribeiro doesn't sound too bad, a sweet left foot from the Youtube clips I've seen, and at last we can get a left sided defender in. Now bring in a striker worth mentioning ffs!
