booth Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 what a load of tosh - gave up half way through as well. I`m not saying they haven`t made mistakes, but people seem to believe everything they read on the news as gospel and then judge upon it, when probably a large % of it is tosh like your post was. Per say, I wasn`t resorting to name calling of individuals, more a generalisation of some of the negativity on the board towards Venkys. I would love it, if Venkys prove you all wrong, just the same if they don`t, as I mentioned before, I will be the first to hold court with myself and put my hand up and say you were all correct ! Still wouldn`t stop me from buying my season ticket every year though! Matey, I think a lot of the negative folks would love to be proved wrong as well. The main priority is BRFC, not petty point scoring on a message board. I just can't see it though. As above, fingers and toes crossed I'm completely wrong.

JAL Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Have we signed anyone yet? just a simple yes or no will suffice. With some of the names that have been linked would you want them to sign. Its been like the Keith Andrews recruitment management services around here this week . How many imminent signings is that now? The only one who seems to have sneaked in is ... drumroll ... Myles Anderson. COYB. Or something. It beginning to sound more like an hostage taking, rather than a signing, this agents son.
chris Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 ..your analogies are getting longer and longer. By the end I thought I was reading the script for an episode of The Office!! "i'm not gay infact I've never come over a little queer" I thought his analogy was really good though. It shows how crazy its been at Rovers and how we accept a lot of changes that we really could have never believed a year ago.

Our greatest achievement is not in never falling but in rising each time we fall...are you reading these? am i what?...anyway enough bout that...VENKYS OUT!!!
Black Burn Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Defoe doesnt want to come you bluffer Black Burn The Raos..... the chicken chokers have... NO MONEY..... you bluffer Black Burn ! No need to call me a bluffer... I think they have the money, just not willing to spend it.
Pitty Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Aaron Doran left the club today, did we get a fee for him or have we let another youngster leave for free? anyone know?
riverside returns Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Sorry to burst the bubble Black Burn but I do believe there is no money for signings and the Jones money has gone to pay off debts. No factual evidence am afraid.
JAL Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 No need to call me a bluffer... I think they have the money, just not willing to spend it. Ok, then the Raos arent willing to spend it at or on Rovers ! We shall definitely agree on that point Black Burn, thank you.
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 What good is it if they are secretly the richest family in the world? (just saying) No good to Rovers unless they get those cheque books out!! Dig deep!!!!
dubdubdub Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 My friend in Spain says Xavi's agent is talking to blackburn....don't believe me? Don't believe most of the stuff you hear then and calm the frig down. Two weeks of the window gone...a month till the season starts and seven weeks till the window closes, yet it's apocalypse now.
beastlove Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 we have already missed out on some good players though, that were not not badly priced, because the venkys could not come up with the right bid. At the start of the summer they were coming out and saying we have got the money to spend on making the team a force, now we are being linked with freebies who are at best average. It's lie after lie with these people!!! As for Formica, i am sure the fee is lower then you suggest and what has he done since he's been at the come the club? 80% of deals are done in the last week. That is a fact. We know clubs want players off their books to reduce wages. So the best bet is to wait and lower the price. You are right we have missed out on players but their are still loads of players still going to move.someone like city will have to ship out at least seven players. Give it time
scunnyrover Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Why spend money if they've identified some GOOD freebies or some players for a low fee. Just because we haven't started spending loads already doesn't mean we're not already. Hopefully they'll look at cheap players that will make us stronger and then spend money on a playmaker and a striker. Will hoillet on one side and ollson on the other be ok for next year? I think it will, would scare defenders and if we get a playmaker in the middle then even better. Let's not panic, still got plenty of time to go

You are right we have missed out on players but their are still loads of players still going to move.someone like city will have to ship out at least seven players. Give it time Exactly. We've missed out on players and I'm sure other clubs have too. We have to remember though that just because we apparently have cash to afford these players, it doesn't mean that they want to come. We can sit here and say we'd choose Blackburn over any other club but can a foreigner who has likely never heard about us? Man City could attract talent early on through ludicrous wages. If we want to stay a well run club (something we were all hoping for when the Venkys took over) then we need to be sensible. If as someone above has said, the money has indeed gone to pay off debts I'll be disheartened but at the same time I'd rather we kept operating within our means. New owners doesn't necessarily mean new team. We have to be patient. Nixon, etc would love to see new players at the club. Not just because it would make us a better team but because it gives them a big story. The insight of people "in the know" is brilliant on here, but people need to stop taking it as fact. It is largely rumour and often "in the works", never complete. The last few weeks will be telling. Assuming we get the French defender in and Samba stays I'll be happy. Pavone on a free sounds like a decent shout but we need another striker at least.
rebelzero Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Aaron Doran left the club today, did we get a fee for him or have we let another youngster leave for free? anyone know? link follows; mods feel free to start a new thread if desired Aaron Doran and Billy McKay agree terms with Inverness Winger Aaron Doran and former Northampton striker Billy McKay have both agreed to join Inverness. The pair have agreed terms with the club and their signings are expected to be completed this week. Irishman Doran, 20, made a major impact at Caley Thistle while on loan from Blackburn in the latter half of last season. McKay, 22, scored Northampton`s first goal in their shock Carling Cup victory over Liverpool at Anfield last season. The Corby-born player has represented Northern Ireland at Under-21 level and scored 16 goals in three seasons for the Cobblers after leaving Leicester. Inverness manager Terry Butcher told the club`s official website: "I've been working hard on Aaron and Billy for some time and I'm delighted both have agreed to come. "Doran showed his talent when he joined us in the January window while I have had excellent reports on McKay. "They are good young performers who can progress at Inverness."

Pavone on a free sounds like a decent shout but we need another striker at least. to be honest with you... what you said is a load of crap. Yes clubs do miss out on players but its largely due to fees and player wages that are too high, or the player not wanting to come to the club... ALEX WITSEL = doesn't fall into any of the category. the fee was extremely cheap for someone of his quality, he wanted to come here, fair wages as well according to reports. no excuse. PAPISS CISSE = again. good fees, wanted to come here.. wages were high but what do you expect if you want someone of his qualities. PABLO PIATTI = same as witsel exactly. those 3 according to reports would have costed us 28m at tops... 20 from jones deal + 5-6mil from injected cash. wages could be afforded as they afforded RSC and JJ wages which were probably as high as it could get with cisse. those 3 players would have made us a top 10 team and it could have been done. no excuses there.
Fife Rover Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 somebody else mentioned it , but it wasnt debated ... would anybody take Barry Ferguson back?? You mean so that he can be homesick all over again? Everybody knows that living in Glasgow or even Birmingham beats the hell out of Lytham/St. Annes.
AJW Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 You mean so that he can be homesick all over again? Everybody knows that living in Glasgow or even Birmingham beats the hell out of Lytham/St. Annes. I mentioned it because someone else threw it out there and i like many thought f*** off but i wondered if other people could see the player before the person ,(a bit like Barton i suppose) Ferguson had 2 decent seasons for Brum , they have been relegated and apparently Blackpool want to sign him (never see that in a million years btw) and considering his low fee (£1.5m) would he not be a cheap improvement on what we already have? imo he would play more games than Grella and Dunn and is better than Andrews

Kelbo Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 There is no doubt now, if it hasnt been clarified, the trialist is Bruno de Paula Ribeiro Ingrácia a 28 year old Brazilian who played at Brockhall and also travelled to Austria with the squad!!
Kelbo Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 So Nicko and Zac got the wrong bloke? Yes they most definately did!!
T.J.Newton Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Yes they most definately did!! ya seem suprised bud!
Athlete Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Another day same old story still cant wait too see the big name big money star signing in action......myles anderson

Kelbo Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 ya seem suprised bud! Not really, just couldnt understand why a right full back with not many games in his career would be a target, we have young players at the club who would provide much better cover!
