Just inquired regarding Defoe and Keane being at brockhall/Ewood? They definately haven't been at brockhall....can't say if they've been at Ewood but they very rarely do deals there!

Spurs would never give us Keane and Defoe for Samba,don't believe it for a second,and N'Zogbia is pure class but will command a big fee and high wages so don't believe that either unfortunately,all three would be excellent but just can't see any of them being at rovers.

After spending a good few minutes decoding your message, I believe that I have just about worked out what you were trying to say.

My friend, you are riding the Venky's Magical Mystery Tour Bus along with myself and every other long suffering Rovers fans. Ask ANYONE with any links to the club whatsoever, it is bananas down there at the moment. Everything changes on a daily basis. Sadly this is largely down to the naivety and inexperience of our owners. However, I hold hope that we are not too far away from being rid of them. Venkys holding a majority ownership along with their current mentality towards the club will only result in one outcome. You all know what that is.

Imagine if it was true, think a lot more people would be optimistic. But I bet people would still moan about wasting that sort of money on a winger when we need a striker

Maybe we didn`t want to bid any more for him as there were other thing slined up, and this would have deviated from the plan ? ever comprehended a different angle to it seen as you don`t really know ?

Not been on this site long but from the looks of it Makey11 seems to know more about whats happening than Nicko etc.

I watched Piatti play last season. Not 'just clips' but matches. He is worth double the £8m or so he went for. Terrific player.

The issue I have is this. These players are very good players. If we had made sensible bids for these players and they turned us down, fine, accepted, it happens. But that isn't what happened. These players were open to coming to Rovers and we did nothing. We watched teams like Valencia (In a major league by the way) and Benfica snap these guys up and we're now looking at freebies and trialists.

To me, Venky's appear to have bottled it. They made big statements and drew up lists of good players who would have cost big money. Several of those players (Piatti/Witsel) were even open to coming here but as soon as it came to actually spending money, we did nothing and it appears that our budget has disappeared.

This isn't about simply not having bought anyone, its that the transfer plan is broken. There is no cohesion. There is no strategy and no focus.

I gave Venky's a chance because I knew that we had to take a risk in order to remain in the division, in order to seriously freshen our first 11. Instead we're talking about the same scenarios that we were used to under the Trust. For a business with money and their reputation at stake, its not good enough.

I genuinely believe that the team we finished last season with at Wolves will be stronger then our first 11 we put out at Ewood in 4 weeks time. I dearly hope that I'm wrong.

I did not say piatti was bad or didn't go to a big club. My concern with him would be his size and the demands of the prem. Your argument is based on rumour at this moment and what you read in the mirror. Do you really know piatti wanted to sign for us? Can you even find a direct quote from him that says that? Or is it based on what you read in the mirror. Btw the same paper that claimed out troops Tortured Iraqi prisoners and then it turned out to be a load of crap. Or shearer signed for man utd. Journalist get things wrong and make up facts to sell papers. They even tap the phones of dead school girls .

You will have a point if the transfer window shuts and we haven't signed anyone. 80% of deals are done in the last week. Plenty of time now.

HONEST question - how many of those 3 did you want us to sign pre summer? And also how many did you know much about? I think MOST fans on here didnt know much about many and therefore if they can find them, they can find many more accross the globe.

It has got to the stage that I wouldn't know who to believe. I will wait until the club announce something rather than having my hopes raised by people on here. Maybe we have bid for N'Zogbia, I don't know.

Just wait until the club confirm it, it is nice to have a bit of insider info. Names of trialists etc, but when the rumour mill goes into overdrive it gets a bit stupid.

Keane and Defoe won't be at Ewood and i would think it is unlikely we have slapped in an £11 million bid for N'zogbia when we are crying out for strikers and Central midfielders.
