EwoodShark
Wow. That is the most creative way of being negative in a long time. Haha. This is just me, racking my brains, just trying to make SOME sense of why he is still here ') If Kean thinks he is worthy then fair played Mr Kean ... but you are no manager. He's barely played since Kean has come in. Clearly neither party are happy with one another so a move away should be expected. And who could blame him? Let the lad go, let him re-start his career away from this shambles ... I wish him all the best when he does. Did any of you read Nicko's article!??!?!?! Neal
Thing is - we are Not until we're in as dire a situation as those in Claret and Blue... Let's get some perspective.
Backroom Tom Posted July 14, 2011 Backroom Share Posted July 14, 2011 Is that a new article? Nicko wrote one a week or so back saying exactly the same didn't he? £4m for him would be good business but it's doubtful the money would be spent and therein lies the problem

There's nothing worse than having a team full of players who want to be elsewhere. The players who leave will obviously need replacing because we won't have enough players to field a team. The owners have said they will invest, so let's wait and see what happens. Obviously at the moment it isn't looking great in terms of bringing in better quality players, but we still have quite a few weeks until the registration period ends so there isn't any need to panic just yet. Nicko wrote one a week or so back saying exactly the same didn't he? £4m for him would be good business but it's doubtful the money would be spent and therein lies the problem The new bit was the bit about the mandate given to his agent to find a deal and the £12mil price tag expiring this weekend. Brownie
I'm sorry but I don't judge our welfare by if we are doing better than Burnley. That should go without saying . Fact is, Burnley are probably better run than us right now. The whole club is a shambles from top to bottom

"Kalinic had a chat with Kean during pre-season training and explained he is keen for a fresh start away from Rovers." Huh? And what you're saying about it is what? Didn't I say in my comment that I couldn't blame Kalanic for wanting a fresh start to re-kick his career?

Tim Southampton Rover
Ah, I do remember him saying about the mandate but didn't know it was expiring. Can someone explain to me about the mandate....as in how it works and what the benefit of having one is? If a team offered £10m for him yet the mandate was for £12m, does that mean it gets rejected without negotiation because it hasn't met the asking price? hawkiiz
What happens when the mandate expires though? Is he not for sale anymore?? And why £12m? That sum sounds crazy.
EwoodShark
Sorry, my mistake. Should be sleeping already but had to wait for some rovers news... No worries. Sleep is where I am heading now ... hopefully I wake up in the morning and it's all been a bad dream. I think Nicko said we can't sell him for less than £12m until that expires, after that its fair game

Fact is, Burnley are probably better run than us right now. The whole club is a shambles from top to bottom Like i said, it gives you some perspective. Better run? Perhaps BUT it won't last forever, things WILL change and as i've said before... we'd be stupid to presume we'd have no problems in the first window we've had since JW left. I don't think the playing staff is a shambles, it just needs a few additions.
Tim Southampton Rover
I think Nicko said we can't sell him for less than £12m until that expires, after that its fair game I don't really see how that benefits either Rovers or Kalinic. Just imagine if a Russian club offered us £11.9m for him and we rejected. I think half the fans would just kill themselves
Wing Wizard Windy Miller
Noticed that Samba wasn't in any of the 'Venkys advert' pictures that have been released (that I've seen at any rate) - Could be a further indication he's off as you'd expect your captain and 'star' player to be on there. justjonny
Won't it just mean that if he was sold for £12m then the agent will get a massive bonus?
