Just seen on a rumor site which is totally unreliable that were after Dame N'doye, never heard of him but put his name in wiki and his goal record is amazing. Doubt there is anything init at all but wouldn,t cost alot and might be the price range were looking at now.

He plays for FC Copenhagen and the roumers here in Denmark is that he will cost £ 8 - 10 millions, FC copenhagen plays champions league so i think he will not be at Ewood this or next season.

In fairness, I thought Philip's post was pretty good, why do you use that 'im with stupid' smiley all the time, you flood the boards with posts all too regularly yourself.

Don't get too high and mighty :D

Because rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength.

Back in the land of transfers...

Miranda was not in the Brazil squad for Copa America. So that won't help his bid for a permit if he comes here.

I also notice that he has not been at training with Atletico Madrid either.

Very odd.

What does Piatti offer us that, Olsson, Hoilett, glimpses of Rochina`s talents, and Formica don`t offer us, or would we just be adding to the pile ? Maybe it was felt we didn`t want him in the end, why criticise the club, just becuase it goes against who individual fans want to see signed, that is just daft (that`s not aimed at you Kamy BTW)

Piatti is better than all of them as it currently stands, only Hoilett might eventually match or better him as a player. Piatti going to Valencia for £6-8m is a steal, he will be worth twice that after a season or two.

Really disappointed we have missed out on him. :(

Why do you expect them to be "prudent" ? According to the ebullient manager as his return from Pune the owners are willing to spend £40m plus this window.

contradicting information all over the place, jim.

so really its what side of the fence you are on, (whether pro or anti the owners) and then also what info and rumour you chose to believe.

obvious power and ego struggles from the advisors.. and this seems to have been addressed by mrs D.

seems ive got myself another messageboard stalker ? i use that smiley cos its appropriate.

if you dont think there's a flood of stupid, negative and unfounded hysteria on here ??? and you cant see that MOST THREADS HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO ANTI- KEAN OR ANTI THE OWNERS, BY THE SAME CULPRITS

then you must be stupid! :D

Let me guess, no contact here other than the initial call to find out how much he would cost?

You never know, he might be on his way to Austria to have a trial with Rovers....

Hmmm.......IP address?

I chat with him on MSN Messenger. Can't give you his email address without permission, I'm afraid.

"If they can't they are out"------how's that work then?

It was a manner of speaking. If they can't manage the club well enough, either the fans force them out or they will be forced to sell to hopefully more competent owners. There is the risk the new owners may be even worse than the Venkys, though.

Either way, I do hope the Venkys prove themselves to fans and win everybody over. If they don't, then I'll join in the riot. Fair enough? :D

avoided the question i see K-Hod. so you have a go at someone.. but dont answer them ? its either because your argument is too flimsy/weak or that you are unable to stand up for and back your own beliefs! "i come on here to talk about brfc" was your quote.. but then you dont!

youre proving my 'stupid' point!

EDIT youve just explained yourself.. his post wasnt stupid.. turning this into anti owners was.. and he's succeeded.

What???? You're not making sense and calling me stupid, playground name calling eh?

I didn't have a go at you, I remarked that your posts were frequent and you used the 'i'm with stupid smiley' frequently. Hardly having a go at you is it?

A massive point that needs explaining I thought Kean flew out to India at the end of the season agreed the budgets and had the list of players approved?. So the big question what has happened since then?. From what I can gather too many people have got involved & think they can find cheaper. If,so I am wondering was his visit to India & budgets agreed a pointless visit?. Kamy/Nicko do you think with your contacts within the club this situation with regards to transfers will it be resolved soon?. Also after certain people within the club started negotiating with agents then things stopped could this spell trouble for the club? Are any parties going to the EPL with a complaint?. From the outside looking in it seems the structure at the club is a shambles & either a D.O.F/ Someone higher up needs appointing any news on these appointments?.Thanks as ever for your valuable input.

Very odd.

It has been reported in Spain that he will only join Atletico Madrid on the 10th of July.

And the last time he played for Brazil was in August 2009, a long time ago.

That's why I asked about the work permit, a few weeks ago...

Every way you look, this is a rolling car crash. This first eight months of Venky's bungling has completely scuppered them for the time being and it will take long hard costly toil for them to be regarded in world football with any respect or seriousness.

10th or above or another season going backwards.

I posted months ago that this pre season was the most important in recent Rovers history, looks like its being wasted.

Did the ebullient manager actually say that? don't think he did?

Between £6-£8 million I would say. We had our chance to get Piatti and have now missed the opportunity.

According to spanish newspapers, Valencia is offering €6 million.

I'm not sure if that money is all for Almeria or if it has to be divided with his former argentian club.

and Just because Valencia made an offer, doesn't mean they'll accept it.

If any club starts up setting agents - even though they are a plague within the game - you don't sign players. You get overlooked, ignored when going for players you want. Prices and wages raised to make players 'impossible' to sign. the end result being a club that is screwed.

I get the impression that is what our owners have done. If that is the case, how they get out of that mess could be impossible. They would have tarnished the club as well as themselves.

While finishing 8th or 9th would make the fans happy, I wonder if it has the some allure to our owners.

10th or above or another season going backwards.

We had 10th with the previous manager and no cash outlay. I wonder if Venkys is beginning to figure that out?

Rovers need a chairman, maybe a director of football and in my opinion a new manager

Agreed on all counts.

I don't want Venkys to fail. They are all that stands between the Rovers and, eventually, relegation. I very much want them to succeed.

But in my opinion, I haven't observed a whole lot of forward progress. In fact, I'm of the opinion we're going backward. Having said that, there is still time to make some very positive moves in the transfer market and start the season strong.

i have my doubts about piatti, good player but really at 5'4 he is very very very small, the average prem player nowadays is at least 6ft. i reckon Kean questioned if he could cut it physically, cus he has obviously gone of the radar

There are plenty of short players out there who are succeeding in the League; Tevez, Silva, our very own Junior, Olsson and Salgado, N'Zogbia, Walcott, Lennon.....
