I said it was one that could be done quite easily - or would be done quite easily if people could pull fingers out.

Are fingers still firmly embedded in sphincters and being wiggled around then?

Have we any fingers in the pie yet or coming close?

I think the situation has calmed down a bit and people's positions have become more clear - with roles more defined after a crazy few days.

It is becoming obvious that the agents advising the owners - that is Kentaro more than SEM - will have a huge say on recruitment.

So the lists of last week, possibly as many as THREE, were something of a waste of time.

Where that leaves the 'live' targets is what is keeping me occupied just now.

There HAS to be a decision on Miranda shortly.

Moves for Vucinic [the manager's choice], Cisse [somebody else's] and Keane [the manager again] are nowhere near done. Mind you, they have not joined anybody else either.

Piatti still has not had the call. But he has still not had the call from anyone.

Witsel is there to be done and seems to have the agreement of the committee.

It is all slightly mad, pretty new and a bit of a drag.

If you get some good players nobody will care. If you don't I would suggest there will be big trouble ahead.

So we've signed him but he won't be picked? Good----- but wouldn't it be cheaper not to have signed him?

Possibly...possibly not. Never seen the kid play. No doubt it'll be cheap or free with cheap wages though. Even if he's balls then can probably sell him on to some lower-league team.

And...if his papa ends up doing a good job (we'll know soon) then it's a nice little sweetner. I'm sure people didn't moan about the signing of Julio Santa Cruz.

Just been hanging around like a bad smell for longer than I care to remember.

Plus I installed some very high-tech bugs in the boardroom about 30 years back...and nobody has discovered them yet.

I hope Kean doesn't get what he wants, at least with Keane and Vucinic. Keane has lost it and Vucinic doesn't want to play for us.

Since it has all calmer now, I hope they start working and actually sign players for the first team.

Piatti still has not had the callfrom anyone.

This is what worries me, why has nobody been in for him? He is a top quality player, so unless something is wrong with him ie injured, not sure why nobody has made an approach. i could be wrong though, and there are clubs in for him.

As ever Alan, good and accurate stuff.

Any truth in the rumour that I have heard that Kean/Anderson are not entirely happy about his/their suggestions being knocked back? Have heard that this is just one of the reason why there has been this delay. Possibly even leading to Kean considering his future?

You're right, we didn't. That's because we were trying to help keep our multi-million pound rated star striker settled at the club. It was completely beneficial to us to do it.

Myles is totally different! The day we start bending over to make agents is happy is the day this club dies.

Jaysus, more questions than answers.

Who the heck has been the driver to get Cisse in then? If people are trying to get players over the manager's head then there will be trouble one way or another.

a new way of doing business, "total chaos".

Don't know but maybe they should be the ones to decide who we make solid moves for considering the manager's suggestions (Vucinic and Keane).

I know it's completely different. Was just putting that for argument's sake. Still haven't seen him myself but from what I hear about him, i could get on the books.

Just come back from Mallorca and spoke regularly to a friend and ex Scottish pro and there were lots of giggles and sniggers when Rovers signed Anderson, I asked if he really was that bad and he said, 'you will see for yourself!
