There's a lot of rumours down here in Southampton that Wayne Bridge is linked with a return to St Marys. I, however, have a feeling that he's looking to stay in the Premier League and could be joining Blackburn especially as his wages would be too much for a Championship club like Saints.

I like Wayne Bridge and wouldn't be too disappointed if it was him (for a sensible fee+wage) however I hope the player in question is someone else in a position where we are really desperate for new players i.e. a striker, midfielder and hopefully someone who can be a first team starter from day 1.

£6m is abit steep - but would fit with what Nicko said about costing more than we wanted??

Lots of tweets on twitter are about Onuoha joining Blackburn in the past hour or so. I'm not sure if that's everybody on here writing that or whether it's actually been leaked.

Would be pretty pleased if we signed him. He's strong, intelligent, good pace and a tough tackler. I just hope it isn't for a ridiculous fee i.e. anything over £5-6m.

We didn't even have Bohinen then - he arrived in the October (1995) and we negotiated with Zidane in the summer.

This 'who needs Zidane' never happened, he turned us down because his mate Dugarry didn't fancy the move and we'd arranged a deal for both.

And people think Bendtner belives his own publicity - Jenas has a super ego with no skill to back it up.

Hopefully its Onouha - solid player who will get better in the right team. Also gives out a positive message to other potential signngs.

@ 24 he's the right sort of age player we should be looking at
