Problems with transfers is one issue, motives behind the problems is another. it is possible that our new owners intend to pocket the incoming transfer

funds for their own benefit and placate us with bargain deals at best to cover up their moneymaking intentions. They are outright owners of the club

and as such can do what they want, leaving us to prattle on missing the point entirely.

Funnily enough, if Venkys wanted to stop all of the current chatter the best idea would be to sign a player...ANY player.

The questions remain.

What is the budget?

What money do they intend to spend?

Unless I am missing something here Iam sure you said that we had a definate £50m to spend, yet know you are saying you don't know the budget when you said it was 100% we would have £50m

pretty sure he said he would predict we would spend 50m. never said it was a fact that we had it to spend

What happened was that Alan Nixon said there was 50 million to spend 2 weeks ago.

However, something happened last week. Whether it's players over-demanding unreasonable wages, or politics, or Kentaro, or even Venkys committee themselves, everything was thrown into chaos, the budget was withdrawn and supposedly reduced - but how much it was reduced to nobody knows and right now there is no clear and exact amount of the new budget available.

It wasn't that Alan Nixon wanted to lie to us, but that circumstances changed, incidents happened and new events unfolded.

Yes, you are missing something here...about £50 million's worth.

Two weeks ago a list was drawn up and feelers put out to players who would be A List signings, positions and prices aligned very neatly.

To land the players you wanted would have cost up to £50 million in fees alone. Never mind wages or agent's fees.

In the last fortnight the thing has fallen apart, nobody in authority knows the budget...and there are things going on the background that are taking some explaining.

Something major has gond astray here. I have seen the suggestions on other threads and I would not dispute them.

nobody in authority knows the budget? Mr Nixon, was this not discussed and approved, about 2 or 3 weeks ago? CRAZY!

Someone needs to take the lead in the boardroom, and soon. Someone needs to show some cajones and get the cogs in motion. Every target we've been serious about has fallen through or gone cold, what's the problem? All we've had so far is talk and speculation, I'm not one for dipping into panic mode at the slightest whiff of trouble but let's get the finger out..!

Sort out a wish list and splash the cash.

Sort out a sponsor and get the shirts on sale.

Appease the fans with some good, solid news. Not more speculation and links.

...Oh, and I reckon the manager about to quit is Arsene Wenger. Happy to be informed by PM otherwise though.

The owners refused to sell as the fans would see it as a positive thing. Boot camp 101, we're getting broken down before they build us slowly back up.

They hosedup with their introduction, flapping their gums about top signings and such. They have been far too positive.

My bootcamp introduction was alot harsher, as I stumbled off the bus and lined up in subzero conditions was a Master Chief sucking down coffee and yelling "You boys better forget your girlfriends and wives right now. At this second they are in the back seat of your car performing a meatflute solo on your best friend."

Very inspiring I thought.

I have a serious question, do they put "Euro Spy" or "A Reporter" so that no one person can be ridiculed for the story?

Dr. Nixon, can you explain?
