Well, if we HAVE to sell before we buy (and I am not talking about Samba who has been itching to leave but another of our good players) then the Venky's bunch had better clear off and sell up ASAP. They'd have been proven to be naive at best, and a downright bunch of lying idiots at worst.

Of course, there are so many stories about so many issues it could all be a load of poo.

The Rao's need to sort out so many things and stop all this madness with a statement or two now. They're being made to look like right tools in the eyes of everyone.

At least with the Trust you knew they were tight so-and-sos who would sell the best players.

Edit: Is that bigger thing something to do with Phillipl's belief that something murky may be at risk of being uncovered?

Have been away a few days - have we actually signed anyone ?

Yawn..that's strange-must have been your doppelganger who posted on this very thread yesterday.

Not sure we need your self-serving trolling in the midst of all this uncertainty Jim tbh.

if this is true about this benjani standard striker coming in then im afraid venkys need to go NOW. This is an absolute disgrace, they open their fat mouths all season about judging them in the summer, well we have and it isnt good enough. Signging benjani types and cheap defenders will only take this club one way. Backwards. I think its time for the venky lot to pull out of the club before its too late. If these are the types of signings we can expect this summer then i will be sitting on my hands this coming season in the blackburn end.

Ah back to the old rovers of having no money to spend, and being the laughing stock of every other club, heck we might even sign even more mediocre players than liverpool for once!

Eh? who do you associate with that thought BRFC were a 'laughing stock' in the 'old' days?

If I knew EXACTLY why the owners went from reaching for the stars to the current state in a couple of weeks I would be happy to tell you.

I'm not the only one around here to know that the whole picture has changed in a hurry.

Nobody knows the precise reasons, although a few factors have been mentioned.

I said a week or so back that there was something bigger going on behind the scenes - and that is still the case.

in your opinion then should we be very worried for the future of our club. im not bothered about signings at the moment im more worried about whether we will have a club in 5 yrs time.

Does Mrs Desai read this site? Im sure someone mentioned she did a while ago!

Why do they lie so much and constantly embarass themselves and the club! I've wanted to give them a chance but I really can't put up with rubbish anymore!

Who would buy the club though? We struggled for bidders in the past. It is a big worry now for all of us, Blackburn Rovers doesn't deserve this. I wish we could just have a mega rich billionaire with an interest in the club. Venkys will ruin their reputation forever if they walk out, they are in for a bashing.

More chance of understanding the clues on 3-2-1 than trying to make any sense of all this. We as fans are being taken out of the loop. its just constant guessing, false hope and disappointments. A bit like the sex life at the min. Pull your finger out Venkys. fnar fnar.

I wouldn't be worried about financial ruin or anything like that.

I would be disappointed that the chance to kick on is being fluffed by foolishness.

You are in a position to strengthen and take advantage of skint rivals in your mid-table range.

You are blowing that. For sure.

On the money to spend front...it is a matter of record that there was to be £5 million per window, some of which could be brought forward.

Add to that the Jones sale money - which is a guaranteed sum with HALF paid immediiately - and you should have a war chest at £26 million [plus].

On top of that, if you moved out some of the crap, you would have more.

Spending between £45 and £50 million on players was a realistic aim when you put the good lists together.

To go from that to where you are today is beyond strange.

There is one player for sale just now at a figure so ridiculously high that I laughed out loud when I heard it. There are people running around at your club just now who are mental.

i've got that same, frustrating feeling as last summer where the owners didn't want to invest in the club because they were about to sell the club. If somebody's offering to buy the club from them that would give them a significant profit, I have no doubt that their heads would get turned and would make sense of the sudden stop in cashflow. I really hope this is all just fanatics due to a lack of information coming out of the club, because we couldn't survive having another summer like last year's.

Still not suprised, well Chaddys slide into wanting Venkeys gone in a matter of hours did suprise me somewhat. 50 million gone just like that.. pooof. 26 million. Alacazam. 16 million... what's the bets that we don't even have that yet.

I love shopping at charity shops. It always seems more of an achievement to pull nice stuff out of piles of crap anyway.

I honestly believe no one has a clue what is happening within the club for factual information best stick to the official site, all the gossip on here is worse than heat magazine

I agree.

There's too many cryptic messages and rumours started by people who claim to be in the know and obviously aren't. Whether thay ever have been or have lost their 'contacts' remains to be seen.

Until something actually happens or claims and accusations are proven, then I taking everything with a large pinch of salt.

The doom merchants can believe what they want, but stay away from anything sharp guys!

why has the 16 million pounds gone from the Jones transfer?

i reckon the owners have kept it and just give us the 5 million pounds they promise!

if the owners have kept it then I say VENKYS OUT!!! :angry2::angry2:

They've continually tested the resolve of the fans.

We came very close to dropping a division.

Now this.

If the money from Jones isn't made available, I can see even the most laid back fan getting angry.

We need a chairman very very fast to sort out this farce behind the scenes. The fact no one is in charge is what makes it so bad i have no doubt some agents are making deals with one person i. The club and then another finds out and says no then bickering ensues and we are back to square one and this keeps happening and why we have signed no one yet. Its pathetic and to say this lot in charge have made millions its beggers belief as to how.

I respect Nicko and Kammy's views but i dont think they no every target and every inquiry made and i dont think they would claim too. On here we probably know a third of what is going on behind the scenes if that. Do i think we will spend 50million NO, do i think we will spend more than 5mill YES. Venky's weren't exactly happy when Nicko got hold of there list and published it wouldn't suprise me if some of the names we are now chasing are out of his reach. Everyone needs to calm down and just see what happens.

thier has been more twist's and turns in the last 8 months than there has been in the 15 years i've supported rovers. I dont know if anyone can confirm if it was contractually said that they would fund 5 mill a window or if it was just an off the cuff promise. As what Nicko just said, in fairness Kean has always stated his preference is TWO strikers, this Benjani like striker may be more than likely just be the 2nd striker needed.

Venky's have to come out with something in the next week, whether it be a signing or a statement stating what the hell is going on. I for one have been optimistic in recent months about Venky's and Kean. the later in which i am still optimistic about, i do have belief that Kean can become a good manager, but unfortunatly the last couple of days have seen my confidence in Venky's drop completly.

nicko, is that striker your reffering to, shane long? reading want £10 million for him, which is mad.

There is a foreign striker who was about to join a club yesterday but pulled out because he heard there was a chance of joining Rovers.

I know that part is 100 per cent right because my mate works for the club he was about to join.

It turns out he is fancied by the management staff.

Once again - and I hate to repeat myself - it will come down to whether you can afford the fee...and how much is currently available.

It pains the life out of me to be chasing stories, knowing that there is every chance something will go wrong because of the current situation.
