As it stands now, we can believe the following.

One, that Venkys was lying when they said they will be finalizing deals in the next 2 weeks, and that Kamy and Alan Nixon are spot-on with the chaos that has engulfed the club.

Two, that Venkys are telling the truth, but so are Kamy and Alan Nixon. It's just that the whole affair is so messy Kamy and Alan Nixon are only catching glimpses instead of seeing the whole picture, and that in the spots that they missed out, some people, maybe Mrs. Desai, are actually straightening up and taking matters in their own hands and actually buying players - we will see if Lee's prediction about Onuoha being a Rovers player comes true then if this is the case.

Personally, I won't know what to believe, but I guess it's up to you.

If Onuoha or Mangungu gets signed in the next few days, or even Alan Nixon's mystery striker, I think that might be evidence for scenario 2.

You know, no matter what way you try to twist the stats, that simply isn't anywhere near true. Unless you intentionally pick out 15 specific games where he only got one goal. But let's not allow facts to get in the way of slagging off our top scorer from last season eh?

And no matter how much you try to justify his lack of goals we will still be in desperate need of a proper striker, one that can score more than 5 goals over the course of a season. Slag off our 'top scorer', you're having a laugh.

Our owners promised that all the money from sales would go into the transfer kitty, now is the time to prove that they don't just make empty promises. Transfer window hasn't fully kicked off yet, there's still time to sign a striker and a central midfielder of quality.

So have we blown our wad on advisors consultation fee's or what, where's the cash gone?

The swingometer is hovering closer to 'asset strippers' than it's ever been before.

Well we have left ourself open to that.....

Scenario

Jones sold for 16 million

Samba potential 12 million

=28 million

Club bought for 43 million

club potentially sold for marked down 35 million

profit of 15 million.

I've got a brand new Gibson Guitar, so I will retire from watching this thread.... Better things to do. Maybe you have too?

Ditto for me, just as soon as I can get to Dawsons in Liverpool to get me a Martin D1, or D16GT or 00015M!

Nicko, you have been here long enough to know the expected reaction to this new name.

Will it be FFS or Yay?

THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN.

80 per cent - who the **** is he? [i include myself in that until yesterday].

10 per cent - will have heard of him.

10 per cent - will blame Venkys.

so from what Nicko said we dont have £16m to spend from the jones deal we have £8m , minus wages will probably mean we are looking at the £2-3m bracket for the striker..... i still think we'll end up with loans and Bosman's ...

but nicko's right ...who've Everton signed ? Fulham ? Villa have got £20m burning an hole in their pocket but thy've signed no-one Bolton? Wigan have signed a keeper they already had , we're missing an opportunity here to revamp the squad , we've already sold a player , we've got sum money we dont have to wait for the merry-go-round to start

Some very interesting pointers being raised by a number of members.

For me, I have communications with people, its very simplistic.

Venky's and co have turned our club into a circus. They have embarassed the good name of our club and they are making a mockery of its supporters. That is exactly how much they value our club and everyone associated with it.

It is the reason why so many fans have not renewed their season tickets. it is exactly why I have absolutely no faith in what they are hoping to achieve in footballing terms and it is the sole reason why I have not renewed my own season ticket.

Each and eveeryine of us has our own views.

Venkys have shown no respect whatsoever and are treating us as fools. They are a disgrace. They need to come out and communicate with the supporters before it all falls flat.

There is a foreign striker who was about to join a club yesterday but pulled out because he heard there was a chance of joining Rovers.

I know that part is 100 per cent right because my mate works for the club he was about to join.

It turns out he is fancied by the management staff.

Once again - and I hate to repeat myself - it will come down to whether you can afford the fee...and how much is currently available.

It pains the life out of me to be chasing stories, knowing that there is every chance something will go wrong because of the current situation.

Soriano from Barcelona 'B', He wants to join his mate Rochina! :tu:

I f***ing hate the transfer window. One of the worst ever ideas in football. It makes things crazy, especially the January one.

100% spot on, yet it is they (Venkys) who are the fools, who knowing nothing about the workings of a football club, decided to do everything their way despite being advised otherwise by experienced people within the game.

They actually told us that they are looking for good strikers and good defenders, and that the deals will be finalized in the next 2 weeks (or decisions).

So they did come out and communicate with us. It was in the Mirror, if I'm not mistaken.

The thing is whether or not they can back up their statements can only be seen in the next two weeks. If they can, good for them. If they can't, the fans will burn them at stake.

Dame N'doye? have seen his name on various rumor sites. I've only herd of him because of the incident were Victor Valdez kneed him in the face and kicked him in the chest, after that he wasn't breathing until jasper gronkjaer stopped him from swallowing his tongue and put him in the recovery position.

Good shout. Swansea said today they were no longer going to be signing him when a deal was close.

Soriano scored a few goals early in his career for Espanyol had a few loans at smaller spanish clubs and has been banging thim in for Barca 'B' in the last couple seasons.

69 games 50 Goals (wiki)

He would be a good young player to have but again hes unproven. We need a more experienced player. We cant flood our team with kids. No one ever won anything with kids. Oh wait yes they did!! Sign the bugger up!! Soriano Formica hoillet rochina kalinic olsson. Nice young attacking forward line there

I think we have to be realistic now chaddy, very, very, realistic. If we have half of the Jones money and hopefully the 5 million that Venkeys said, I know, I know, they have said a lot, but we have to at least take them at their smallest promise, so that adds up to 12 million. Maybe, plus wages.

any news on Witsel???

I think the final Witsel has blown on that one. Coat has been collected more often that a call made from jail.
