No, the first poster is right, he goes over far too easily looking for a foul when its blatant he has played for it, should have picked up some tips from Roberts by now.

He needs to stay on his feet, and use the ball and get stronger - we don`t have the depth to carry players in the first 11. I really want him to suceed as he has shown glimpses, but he needs to want it, and his body language when played doesn`t show to me, that he is hungry enough

I agree he does look for fouls, and too often, which is a shame cos he has got the touch and footballing brain to do more. But play him with a partner for more than 3 games in a row (defo not an 80th minute substitute). I bet Roque at 23 is how Kalinic is now

I think I simply recognise his style of falling down whenever challenged, because that's what I did when I was playing. I was a skinny guy, and I admit I was a bit of a coward, so to cover it up, i "fell" whenever I didn't have the strength to push someone away from me, or hold on to the ball. That's what NIko does too. He hides his lack of effort by being "fouled". Awful player.

Rovers have failed Niko, not the other way round. Being a manager is all about getting the best out of what you have got... not making what you've got play the way you want (Allardyce) at all costs. A manager should adapt their style in favour of their players strong points. Especially at a club like Rovers where money isn't usually splashed around.

Niko has been starved of any real service the whole time he has been here. The one time I saw him clean through on goal he slotted away with a real Henry esque finish. I will agree with the suggestions that he needs to be stronger and stay on his feet but he is still by far and away our best striker.

All the moaning and complaining about our strikers being so poor should be down to the fact that we have had no player able to pick a pass since Tugay retired.

More eloquently than I put it mate

Would not mind it being N'Doye, pretty much unheard of by most I would guess, plays in Denmark and has a rather decent scoring record for the last two seasons.. prior to that his scoring ratio was not brilliant.

Although not sure if Nicko has any friends working for Suadi clubs.. he was supposed to be off there.

Partly as he was on my wish list (on the other thread).. hmmmm a link from IMScouting

Late bloomer I suppose but would still cost 4-5m.

Ouch! That is the D list then. Only seen him twice, both FCK agains Rosenborg in CL. The commentators was terriefied of him (they were Norwegian, rooting for Rosenborg), but not sure he would be much more than a Mame Biram in the PL.

Blackburn are ready to swoop for FC Copenhagen’s Senegalese striker Dame N’Doye – after a tip-off from their No.2 John Jensen

Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic, midfielders Keith Andrews and Vince Grella plus El-Hadji Diouf can go to balance the books ahead of a shopping spree.

Blackburn’s owners have been shocked by the prices in the summer transfer market and want to raise cash first.

THAT HURTS.

This is fast becoming a living nightmare and since the day Venky's took over my heart dances to a different beat. Very uncertain times.

No that is the sound of 300 laptops being slammed shut and the word FFS being muttered!

I deleted that post, trying to be more constructive. :P But Dame N'Doye............underwhelmed. Let's get Gerald Sibon too.

Fee/salary nicko?

John Jensen choosing targets but Kean not able to get any of his?
