This is the part I like:

Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic, midfielders Keith Andrews and Vince Grella plus El-Hadji Diouf can go to balance the books ahead of a shopping spree.

Think every sane Rovers fan could and would buy that.

Venkys really must have done their homework! Were they expecting to get awesome players for 2 bob?

Really annoyed at the moment! Love to hear Keans take on this....I bet he'd mention "positive" on more than 11 occasions! Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh!

28/6....Piatti,Cisse,Miranda,Witsel

7/7......Mongongu, N'doye, Warner,

worst week ever?

Deadly in the danish league, but that's hardly a measure of quality. More importantly he's been impressive in europe, playing for a team which passed through the group stage in CL. By many fans he's considered their best attacker ever. He will be expensive, FC Copenhagen will be trying to qualify for another year of CL this summer and are looking at a secured danish CL spot the year following. The club is in huge debt however, so that my explain their willingness to sell. It should be noted that the CEO of the club stated earlier today that the player is not for sale. This could obviously be a matter of tactics.

For Gods sake read my other post before you try to get smart. He has been in a B team for the last TEN YEARS! if he was any good he would have made the a step up. Both with Espanyol and Barca.

This would be the same Soriano that has recently been linked with Roma?

If any other top side had a reserve player that banged in 50 goals in 69 matches, he'd get a run out in the first team.

Lets be honest, Barcelona's B team would more than likely finish above Rovers if they were in the prem.

He would be a better option than anyone else we curently have up front and could be an astute signing - depending on price of course.

I deleted that post, trying to be more constructive. :P But Dame N'Doye............underwhelmed. Let's get Gerald Sibon too.

Fee/salary nicko?

I doubt Nicko will reply, he said he's not coming back to the site after having another post deleted.

It's a good point Barca B would have been promoted to La Liga, when Guardiola was in charge, save for the rules not allowing a club's 1st and reserve teams playing in the same division. So, even if he can't get into the Barcelona squad, he's still playing for a side that should (technically) be in the same league.

Jermaine Beckford scored 31 goals in 52 games in his final season with Leeds (League 1) and scored 8 PL goals last season in 32 apps (alot from the bench) making the step up better than any of our strikers.

Last season Soriano scored 32 goals in 37 appearances for Barca B which competes in the second tier of spanish football.

I think spanish division 2 is probably a tougher league than league 1 and the guy clearly has an eye for goal. if he's the right price then why not?

the part i liked also was the spending spree part, what is a spending spree to the shmenkys? 4.1 million? Oh the joys of next season, cant wait till we see jason roberts and n' doye hitting the side netting and our defence going missing. Why the hell is john jensen recommending players? he doesnt know sh*t about football at the highest level. He lived his whole career off one goal in 1992 of course he is going to recommend players in his homeland, just trying to promote danish football, which no offence to any danes on here, is sh*te.

Good, if only BPF, Philipl and Kamy leave too my blood pressure can get back to normal again :brfcsmilie:

Those Scots sure are feisty little buggers eh?

25 goals in 31 starts is pretty good, granted in a poor league. At the right price and as squad player it could be OK.

If the price Danish media are suggesting is correct then I doubt he'll be brought in as anything else than first or second choice.

Delete the posts of the person who makes this forum so popular amongst fans... Really?

:wstu:

To be fair he's linked us with about 4503 different players since he's been on here and we actually signed 3 of them. Our owners don't even know what they're doing tomorrow so can hardly expect a journo to, unless obviously there's some phone bugging going on.

Yep. If he breaches the rules and posting guidelines he agreed to stick within when he joined the site. Same treatment as any other poster.

A warning or another constructive alternative?

I may get flamed for this, but a better squad player than DJ Campbell at £1.25m? 13 goals last season in the top flight.

When did he say that?

On the Venkys are selling up rumour thread.
