Unfortunately, I suspect that he may well be right.

We are in deep, deep trouble.

Misery man being pesimistic again?? Well I never!

Surely it makes sense to try and remove the rubbish before loading on extra wages???

Only problem is that rubbish disposal is very often difficult and expensive, particularly where the items are contaminated.

If Nicko is correct, we have gone in the space of two weeks from having about £50m to spend, to about £26m to nowt and we now have to sell first !!!

I bet you're enjoying this..

Quite frankly I'd rather not hear what's going on behind the scenes right now. One way or another we need to get new players in and if Venky's fail to assemble the 4/5 new signings they promised well then they're going to be torn to shreds. There are no excuses.

I know you are a positive perosn, but can you not read between the lines? So, if we somehow get shut of Glassback, Andrews et al, Kean will then be granted a £40million, sorry a £26million budget?

Does this guy Nicko thinks he is Elvis or something??? Obviously a member on this board has to follow the same rules as everyone else.

I enjoyed reading his posts because there "seemed" to be substance to them, but the last couple of weeks I havent really enjoyed being a Blackburn fan. My heart rate has gone up without reason on many occasions. First it was Piatti. YAYYYYY. Then it was Miranda. YAYYYY. Then it was Witsel. YAAAAY. Then it was NDoye. Hmmmmm. Then it was some guy from Bologna. Hmmmm...

As much as I generally enjoy the summer transfermonths I would probably have preferred not knowing anything over the last 2-3 weeks

90% of what Nicko says will be rubbish e.g. two weeks ago we had 50 million now we have to sell Andrews to raise cash IMAO, what tosh

The best thing you can do it consider it like reading The Star, its all just fun and games and uses up some time.

He will probably get one story right ad you will have heard it here first :)

at least we are linked to players rather then last summer which was painful.

IIRC he didn't say that. He said something like to buy those players identified on the list (we had a list of 6-8 or so players in different positions) it would cost about £50-60m.

There is a difference.

He did indeed, people just read what they want to believe RVR. God knows how many times it has been pointed out in the last x amount of pages exactly that fact !

£26m + sales ALL on fees would be fine by me.

If we had shifted Grella, EHD, Andrews & Kalinic - + the money saved for J Jones wage, P Jones, Mame & Brown (RSC we believe was from Owners pockets) then it would give us alot more scope when trying to sign better players.

He actually said he was willing to stick his neck out a predict we would spend £45-£50m which given how much he is trusted on here, most people took as Gospel that we had £50m. He then followed further post by saying stuff like "You HAVE the money, get on with it" when talking about the likes Cisse and Piatti so he was convinced we did have £50m.

I personally wish he had been less commital on the amount and added a pinch of salt to his original £50m claim and I think we wouldn't have had so much hysteria over our transfer budget.

On James McCarthy, great young player but I think he'd rather hold out for one of the bigger boys.

It's also strange that Nicko's sources and authenticity has been given a thumbs up by Kamy amongst others, has been spot on with all things related to the takeover and plenty of transfers over the YEARS, but yeah he gets 1 in 50 right Chris.

True Blue- Kamy has said the goal posts have been moved too over the last week, so when Nicko made the prediction it was most probably correct.

I'm sure me and you have had some spats over the last year but I'm now finding that I'm agreeing with a lot of your posts, should I be worried? :D

Though this could be 2 + 2 = 5

How is this for a theory.

Nicko releases list of players and transfer kitty - all of a sudden agents fees, wage demands and transfer fees go through the roof. Mrs D get extremely annoyed at what she perceives as a mole in the organisation - and starts a campaign of mis-information to try to identify the mole and also try to reign in the wages and fees being demanded for players. Given the confusing information coming out of the club - the forums various sources start to give off differing and worrying messages.

In truth it was never wise for the club to give a clue as to their budget - though I am sure that Kean's boast we would have the biggest budget for some time was probably to stimulate ST sales.

The basic facts are as they have always been - we will only know what Venky's commitment to the club is at the end of the transfer window. Even if Mrs D came out and re-iterated her commitment to the club (as she recently did) - many would doubt the sincerity of her words. For our owners - now is the time for action rather than words.

Everything else is hot air - if I must admit somewhat worrying.

That theory implies that BRFCS is some kind of big news outlet. Don't get me wrong I love the site but it's not Sky news or the BBC. After nicko's £50m shopping list post I didn't see any major news outlet pick it up so I don't know how all these players and agents would knwo about it, and even if they did it would be be words of an unknown poster called "nicko" rather than an official club statement.

I doubt any players or agents read this board and I also doubt the claim that Mrs D herself reads it, I would hope she has better things to do like running a small global business empire and a football club than trawl through pages of rumours and counter rumours made on here.

The list and the £50M were in People and Mirror.

Also Nicko - and other people in the know reported that they were upset that details of the budget and list had leaked - and were going mad to identify where the leak had happened. All the turmoil and rumour and counter rumour seems to have started from here.

You must be joking - I am hating our predicament.

Unlike many thousands of others, I have renewed my season tickets (plural). I let my heart rule my head and I honestly wish that I hadn't now.

When there is something to cheer about at Rovers, and there's been very little to cheer about since Venkys took over, I'll stop being the miserable so and so that some of you think I am.

The place will be a sad place without nicko its already starting to get depressing with the recent surge of newbies who the majority are coming across as pricks.

Absolutely right there. One in particular gets right up my nose with every single post he makes being worded in the most aggressive terms. I would say he is really some "angry young man".

what was your motivation for re-newing last year, worse pre-season ever in terms of signings.

If we don't make some decent signing before the transfer window I'll refund you your season ticket myself, long way to go.

And we have shown interest in Monaco defender:

"Mongongu has been made available after Monaco’s relegation to Ligue 2"

I'm amazed they were relegated, thats a big shock it would be like Liverpool going down.

Then they need to develop a thicker skin.

Football messageboards are there to talk about all aspects of the club that they are based on. You are always going to get transfer speculation and rumours on pretty much every board. Check out Bluemoon, Redcafe, Red and white kop etc. All of them have threads to talk about transfer rumours. You think any of the owners of those clubs will completely change their targets because of the gossip on a forum?

This forum would be a hell of a boring place if there wasn't the speculation about transfers and other goings on.

Venky's had been hit and miss until the summer. Some people, myself included, gave them a chance. Other people set their stall out before we got to this stage and slated them for anything based on no evidence at all. I dont regret giving them an opportunity to prove themselves because they hadn't had the chance up until this window. However, regardless of what angle you look at it now, they seem to be losing the plot.
