mckenny16 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I see a lot of people upset that Mongongu and N'Doye could be coming to Rovers. And, while I understand that they are not the superstar players we wanted, I feel we are being to harsh on them. How many of you ever heard of Samba before he came to Rovers? Or Benni McCarthy? Or Nelsen? Hope a lot of you forget your personal disapointment and are able to support any of those players, if they do sign for Rovers You mean the Champions League winning Benni McCarthy? Quite a few!!

Balwer Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 whats vinjays odds, i would stick a tenner on that lol Fairly sure he is masquerading as a member of the boards these days.
Black Burn Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Fairly sure he is masquerading as zac or black burn these days. I am not Vinjay. If I were, I think I would be abusing everyone. I do not believe I have insulted anyone on this board, and if I did so I apologize. By the way, I strongly disagree with Vinjay on the Phil Jones saga thing. I think Jones was not disrespectful of Kenny Daglish or whatever bullstuff Vinjay was posting while raging over that. Jones moved on to Manchester United, as did Bellamy to Liverpool, Bentley to Tottenham, Friedel to Aston Villa and Lucas Neill to West Ham. End of story. Why make a fuss over it and accuse hin of such wildly exaggerated and unsubstianted opinion? To be fair, Vinjay is entitled his opinion, but he shouldn't go around abusing other people verbally, whether it's the fans or Jones.
Balwer Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Don't worry B B wasn't a serious comment. You do have his capacity to write four sentences when one will do however, don't think I have seen you write a one paragraph yet.
slough_rover Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Id still have Vinjay on here than aot of our posters. If and when we do make that first signinf lets hope its a catalyst.
Pete1981 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 whats vinjays odds, i would stick a tenner on that lol Or even Chaddy

Must come with all the writing I do everyday.

Neal Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Goal.com in germany is reporting Goulon could go to TSG Hoffenheim.

Hope a lot of you forget your personal disapointment and are able to support any of those players, if they do sign for Rovers For me, as i said yesterday, I am disappointed with Mongongu and N'Doye simply because our expectations have been raised!! Venkys have said that they will do everything in their power to get into the top four Samba, Benni & Nelsen never got us into the top 4 & Players like Mongongu and N'Doye are also unlikely to!! We need a top class goalscorer & that should be number one priority as our biggest problem last year was scoring important goals!! If Venkys are as ambitious as they say they are we need to be looking at better players but if their ambitions are not as high as they have spouted on about they should shout their mouth & allow us get on with discussing the values of players like Mongongu and N'Doye!! I really hope Venkys turn out to be our saviours but there are too many black marks over their short tenure to make me optimistic!!
roverandout Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 yeti-dog i will take your advice, i might take a nap

I think even the Venkys are realistic enough to know we aren't going for top four this season. And top-class goalscorers like Vuvinuc and Adebayor are very reluctant to join us. It's best not to expect Champions League players playing in Blackburn for at least the next 2 or 3 seasons, no matter what Venkys say, and no matter how much we have.
Tooogs Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Let's just splash the cash on some foreign super striker who will live long in the memory of all Rovers fans for scoring a few important goals down at Ewood Park and away to some of the big clubs. Let's be realistic we're not gonna win the league any time soon. Just watching 'premiership years' on sky and that's all that lives on in the fans eyes. A hero in the clubs colours who we cheer on every saturday who the kids get on the back of their shirts!

roverandout Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 rovers have to spend some proper money. Even nicko said as much. These guys just aint going to cut it if the venkys want to make rovers a top 10 club, nevermind anything beyond that. A proven QUALITY goalscorer is essential for next season otherwise its going to be the same sh*t as last season. Rovers have been crying out for that for the last few years as well as a midfielder that can open up defences. I would kill for a robbie keane right now.

That is absolutely fine, I would never have expected Champions league football if Venkys & Kean had not mouthed off about it!! We are a laughing stock because of Venkys & Keans mouth!! The best thing for the owners to do is to keep the head down, build a board of executives, then a management team & then work on the team Instead they sacked anyone of value from the board or management & then tried to buy Ronaldiniho!!! None of that is rumor or conjecture, that is fact!! what does that make us to the rest of the footballing world?? .......A laughing stock!! Have venky's said taht they will do everything in their power to get to blackburn into the top four? Honest question, I'm looking for a reference. Mrs. Desai... “I am not promising that we will be a top four team but I can promise that we will try and that is what we will aim for." Source - LET A promise it is not but as roverandout says we need to speculate even if we are to achieve the top 10!!
Iceman Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I give up, although I can see an exciting deadline day, when we will bring in 6 players. Kaka, Beckham, Fabiano, Pique, Taiwo and Alves
BRFC_Pilkz Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Skysports.com understands Blackburn are closing in on the signing of Monaco defender Cedric Mongongu.
JAL Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Skysports.com understands Blackburn are closing in on the signing of Monaco defender Cedric Mongongu. Big big gamble from Venky's here on young Cedric!
Pitty Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Big big gamble from Venky's here on young Cedric! Why? only costing 2.5 million leaving 14 million of the jones money to strenthen other areas of team.
RoverPedro Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Big big gamble from Venky's here on young Cedric! Speculate to accumulate as the saying goes. If he turns out to be a new samba then ill be very happy. If he turns out to be a darren peacock then ill be even happier (joke)
