Hugely weakened?

No Jones

No Jones

Even though Santa Cruz and Diouf didn't add much, it is still a reduction in cover players. A premiership team with Roberts and Benjani up top are crying out to be relegated.

Haha,

I'm a real optimist at the moment, I'm sorry.

I'm just as desperate as everyone else but I can't be the type of person that just presumes everything will be okay because the alternative is too scary to contemplate.

1. No Sponsor

2. No budget for transfers agreed

3. Junior not signed.

4. No release dates for shirts.

5. No chairman

6. The 'Board' have never met.

7. A kitman as manager.

8. A hugely weakened team compared to last season.

The people being blindly optimistic, help me out, what is making you so happy? Please don't tell me that it's because Venkys have said that it's going to be okay. That's like a serial killer telling you not to worry whilst pouring arsenic in your coffee.

Agree 100% with your 8 points BPF- they need to be addressed and it is VERY worrying- Pro Venkys/Anti- Venkys/ Pro Kean/ Anti Kean etc etc, doesnt matter where you stand these are issues which should worry everyone.

I am living on hope rather than confidence that the issues will be addressed.

I don't know why people find this so hard to understand:

At the moment there is no budget agreed. Kean keeps suggesting players, enquiries are made and then everything stops. The reason, there is no budget agreed. There was, everything was going great until they started having doubts. Fingers crossed they'll get over this but don't expect any imminent signings. We are not going to be talking to anyone until the current situation is resolved. How long that is going to take, I have no idea. Hopefully, this weekend! Then we can actually go about not getting relegated next season!

Do you honestly believe , that especially after last season, the owners don't understand the consequences of relegation.

He got some abuse the other day...He'll be back

Bit mysterious. He gave the abuse and took his bat and ball home when he thought his post had been deleted? Problem is that no one could find it in the naughty box.

I really dont believe the owners understand anything about football or our culture, that is the problem.

1. No Sponsor

I was speaking to a guy the other week whose wife works at Ewood and apparently we had a pretty decent sponsorship offer on the table which the club turned down. It was arranged with Umbro to have the shirts out at the end of May as well. So they must be confident of getting more money if they would turn one down.

Before people start calling bulls**t I am just saying what I heard. And I didn't meet him in the pub either. Not like that makes it any more reliable. Just saying

im sick of being a negative nelly to you all but i agree with what everyone else has said, i just cant see the light at the end of the tunnel with this rabble. They change their stance more often than david beckham changes his hairstyle. They dont know whether they are coming or going. Signings need to be made and sooner rather than later and not billy no-marks either. Quality or even semi-quality signings. Signing mediocre players only fills an already overloaded average squad. I would love robbie keane here at the moment, even craig bellamy would be a huge improvement on what we have at the moment. As for midfield, anyone who can pass a ball would be welcome. I fear we are going to rely heavily on paul robinson and chris samba next season. God help them both because i cant see anyone else stepping up to the plate. If we lost them two, we would be screwed.

The owners, Kean and Huber need to sort out their differences by this weekend. This is crucial if we are going to start buying players and getting good players in. If we leave buying players till after the trip to India and Hong Kong then we are going to end up with second rate players or paying over the odds for Players.

1. we need a transfer budget in place and agreed by Kean and The owners. And hopefully the owners will not change their minds. (again)

2. we need Kean to choose the players he wants and how many he wants in

3. start making bids for the players Kean wants and hopefully we can get his first choice for each position

Yes you're right, we need 50 more pages of pie in the sky 'you know that guy from the French League? Why don't we get him?'

Or 'I hope nicko comes back'.

i actually prefer nicko not around thanks, im just sick of some peoples negativity , its july 8th not august 31st we all need to relax a bit

As much as we need another 50 pages of "Kean out" "Venkey's out" Why aren't we spending £100,000,000...Jesus.

leerovers, people have a right to be negative at the moment, you give us some reason to be positive then.

The fact we're guaranteed another season of PL football?

The fact we could be 'owned' by Ali Syed and his forty thieves?

The continued success of our academy?

...The fact there's bigger ###### goin' on in the world than an iffy pre-season at a football club?

that's problem with this board full of anti venkys, they haven't been given a chance from day 1, they will never succeed with fans like most on here, give them time ,and if august 31st your not happy with who we signed then it time to to complain , do you actually really know what's going on behind the scenes, or are you just taking the word of all the anti venkys posters on here

also under the trust how much of the jones money do you think we would have had to spend in this window

Always makes me laugh when that line comes out, much like the 'it's only a game' routine.

As this is the transfer thread on a Blackburn Rovers website, we are hardly going to be talking about the stalemate in Libya or other more worthy topics.

I'm normally quite pessimistic about Rovers but have tried to be optimistic since that fabulous Sunday afternoon at Molineux

Unfortunately I suspect that was the end of a false dawn.

Both Jones boys leaving has left a massive void in the squad which cannot easily be filled. I'm not convinced that it will be.

There are currently too many unknowns about our new owners for me to feel positive about next season but at least they gave me a free balti pie and bag of fruit pastlles!!!

Rubbish. They have been given lots of chances and have made a complete pigs ears of it. However, most fans are still hoping they can turn things round, so how does that fit into your 'anti venky's' tag?

Doesn't mean people have to go overboard and act like the sky's falling 'cos we ain't signed Julio Geordio.

leerovers how do you kean will be given all the jones money? because they said so? everything they have said has been bullsh*t so far, cant trust a word that comes out of their mouths. And yes i know there are bigger things that are going on in the world right now but we are here to talk about rovers and thats what we are doing.
