Bold bit is correct as of now but I doubt the second bit. I know Venky's have been utterly inept up to this point but that would be crazy even for them.

The option still remains to sell it on a game by game basis.

Very much doubt that... if we didn't have a sponsor i'm sure it would be left blank as the shirts look great like that and it would leave the opportunity for a late sponsorship deal once the season has started.

With this Ali Marchant chap working on behalf of Venky's in India, I fully expect an 'Indian' sponsor to be unveiled before the season kicks off.

People need to remember, this same situation has happened a number of times over the past 20yrs, no sponsor announced until late in the day, so its not just venkys this time despite the usual clamour to lay blame.

Nothing is a certainty these days, but they've been looking for the best deal, not just settling for anything that comes along like we've done in the past, so that takes time.

Never, but you have to remember we've had some poor deals over that time also. No point settling the sponsorship deal in January if its for peanuts and not the going rate.

We could start the season with no deal in place, but waiting that extra few weeks could see us making the biggest deal by far in the clubs history.
