  1. 1. Are you happy with the new sponsors

    • Delighted!
    • I'd have prefered a commercial sponsor, but this is a great alternative
    • Simply don't care
    • Waste a valuable income
    • No objection to charity, do object to the Princes Trust
    • Other (Please Explain)

Cobra and kingfisher was a real possibility a few weeks ago, but that didn't happen for whatever reason. I can't see them finding a new sponsor ready to stump up lots of cash in such a short period of time, so that tells me only one thing and I don't think venkys will put their name on the shirts.

UNICEF maybe?

Beer or any alcohol is not allowed to be advertised in India so cobra and kingfisher are out(if venkys want to promote BRFC in India)

Qpr have no sponsor I heard too?

Surely if Tony Fernandes is getting involved air Asia would become their sponsor.

Not true, look at the IPL teams sponsorship, half look like bar menus

Don't panic! They were only announcing they've signed a commentary agreement!

i wont be listening to radio lancs commentary ever again.. after the way they treated the club and us rovers fans last season.

It wasn't Radio Lancs fault. They couldn't afford the royalty that Rovers demanded from them to broadcast their matches.

Alcohol is advertised all over the place in India (at least it was when I was there 10 years ago). Those that choose to drink just as much as we do as well.

none of the ipl team is sponsored by any liquor brand the closest that can come is "Royal challenge" banglore where "Royal challenge" is one of the kingfisher brand of ub group (vijay mallaya)

I repeat it again no liquor Ad is allowed in India they advertise the liquor indirectly like cassettes and Cd's or cricket gear .(strange but true)

Um what? You see Kingfisher advertised everywhere in india. And whisky.

thats king fisher airline(indirectly advertisement for liquor I Agree)

I agree with everything you say.

"Who cares" ?

do you think a small club can make profit with only local supporters?

venkys bought brfc to make money from the club

if you dont advertise brfc in India then whats the point for venky to buy BRFC at the first place.(remember India is a cash cow ATM the only safest economy atm. if you advertise brfc in India it will be huge for brfc but rovers should visit India for that to happen)

everyone here is to make money(except rovers supporters)

also if beer isnt allowed to be advertised in india how the hell can we compete in the carling cup? surley carling is classed as beer? or will double standerds follow?

Carling has nothing to do with BRFC personally anyway

one of the champions league sponsor is a liquor brand which is advertise in India as "enjoy responsibly" that's it, no name of the brand is displayed or shown.

I don't class Carling as beer.

It's a mix of chemicals that tastes like a mix of chemicals, hence the enormous advertising spend.
