Kamy100 Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 The Copa America started earlier today, with Argentina drawing 1-1 with Bolivia. Good match with Bolvia doing really well. Aguero scored a cracking equaliser. Look forward to watching the likes of Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico and Chile. Stand out game in the first round of games is Chile v Mexico on Monday.

Oklahoma Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Colombia should be good to watch too. They have a great striker, Falcao!!
AggyBlue Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 What channel are the matches on and what time? ESPN, middle of the night or early morning.

Oklahoma Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 One funny thing is that RSC was selected to play for Paraguai but Oscar Cardozo wasn't. I admit Cardozo was poor this season, comparing to the previous seasons. But RSC hardly made a decent game all season, has he?
Stuart Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Venky's next "big" signing could well be on show at the Copa America. Not that I know anything but with their supposed South American market for chicken it'd make sense.
cn174 Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Roque's done more running in 8 minutes than he managed in half a season for us. Gotta say so far its been a bit naf!
chaddyrovers Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Édgar Barreto looks a very good player. good technically RSC looks more like the old RSC. Hope he does well where ever he plays next season.
HemelRover Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 This has been the best game of the competition so far. Decent end to end game. Not as many tricks on display as there were in the Argentina and Brazil games but both teams are getting shots at goal. RSC looking fit and sharp as well.
cn174 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Quite enjoying this game even though the football is utter rubbish! Bolivia just had their 2nd player sent off for absolutely nothing! Tackled the Costa Rica player, bit of a tangle, player pretended to be kicked in the head, other player sent off. What do people think about the '10 yard spray' - think it is a fairly decent idea myself. For those who havent seen, when there's a free kick in a dangerous area, the ref sprays on the grass where the ball should be, then sprays a line on the 10 yard line for the wall. And it vanishes within about 20 seconds.

Yes poor game isnt it...Joel Campbell on the wing for Costa Rica is head and heels above anyone on the pitch, looks quality and only 20years old as well..Lots of pace and direct style of play and took his goal very well also!! Alot of scouts from europe their watching him seemly..

rookie2009 Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Yea he does look good. However, he makes Ronaldo look rock hard, doesn't take much for him to go down does it?! Nope but the Bolivians are well ###### off with him lol, kicking lumps outta him...Some good players in the Columbia team as well also, although maybe they just looked good because Argentina are so crap lately lol
cn174 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 50 brilliant photos from Copa America Hopefully we'll get a good game out of Brazil.
cn174 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I like this one! Hehe, but what on earth are they dressed like that for? Very nice finish by Roque!
cn174 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Bit of a shock tonight with Peru beating Colombia to go into the semis. Hopefully Argentina vs Uruguay will be a decent game.
Backroom Tom Posted July 16, 2011 Backroom Posted July 16, 2011 Bit of a shock tonight with Peru beating Colombia to go into the semis. Hopefully Argentina vs Uruguay will be a decent game. Whens that on? TV anywhere?
Backroom Tom Posted July 16, 2011 Backroom Posted July 16, 2011 ESPN now TCO Boooo don't have it on my Sky package and I pay Sky £66 or so a month as is!
HemelRover Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Boooo don't have it on my Sky package and I pay Sky £66 or so a month as is! That sucks mate. Especially as its looking like being the best game of the tournament so far. 1-1 after 15 minutes or so. Good open game, local rivalry and all that. 2 goals chalked off for offside as well now, one for each team. Red card now for Uruguay.
HemelRover Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Uruguay's goalie just pulled off a 90th minute world class double save from a deflected Tevez freekick and the follow up from Higuain. Great stuff. Both sides down to 10 men and into extra time.
