Only just got to listening to these - couldn't find it on iTunes and only realised yesterday I could listen direct through my phone rather than having to use a laptop. I know, I know.........

Very interesting and informative. Easily beats anything put out by the club or Radio Rovers since the inception of RR, club website etc. You clearly demonstrate there is every possibility for interesting, questioning journalism which while probing was not overtly critical of BRFC.

There's a real need for this podcast as the club output via the website and RR is boring, formulaic and generally of such poor quality it isn't worth bothering with. A shame but the club media has always toed the line and will not improve under Venky's.

My only observation would be I feel an hour is too long. Two reasons for this; 30 minutes is a slot which allows one to listen on the way to work, the match etc. and fits in to life easily, an hour plus means making time to listen. Secondly if the plan is to make the podcast a regular feature you may struggle to fill an hour every week?

Congratulations to all, this is a fantastic piece of work and one that sets BRFCS way ahead of the club or any other MB I know of.

I think I agree about the hour - though I suppose it depends on a persons life style. They could do an hour recording and then split it into two half hour sessions. Though I must admit it wasn't a boring hour.

An hour is fairly common for a lot of the podcasts. I used to struggle find time to listen to them, but then realised they were ideal for times I'd normally listen to music (driving, running, the gym, waiting for the bus etc).

I guess we can discuss editing each session into two halves, but personally I like an hour, but like all feedback, we'll take it on board.

Same for me. I find podcasts are excellent for listening to when commuting / traveling. Most I download are from Radio 4. I would have guessed most to be 30-45 minutes but I'm quite prepared to be wrong on that point. Would the difference be I'm listening to radio via podcast when you may be considering media specifically designed / produced as a podcast first and foremost?

I wondered the same. Most of the ones I listen to are either technical or gaming related (the exceptions being the Mayo & Kermode Film Podcast and Fighting Talk both from Radio 5). As we get more suggestions for "segments" it may turn out that it's more easily broken down into chunks (currently you really have to listen to it all in one go). Also, the last couple of weeks we've had some really meaty topics to get our teeth into, it could be a that few weeks we're struggling for content and naturally have to shorter episodes rather than padding talking about the weather (clue. Japan is always stupidly hot and Blackburn is always tropical ;) ).
