Baz Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I've recommended it before, but Big Life Fix on BBC2 is an amazing program. This kind of thing would be an amazing thing for universities to run as final year dissertation projects. Quote

I second that. Way before my time but it really is good and explains how the USA got bogged down in Vietnam. Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Nobody like " Robot Wars " ? Maybe you need to be an angineer to get the bug. " Snowfall " on BBC 2 on Sunday night is good in my opinion. It's about how cocaine was introduced to L.A. back in the Reagan era. Pretty violent but it keeps you guessing. Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 (edited) I love robot wars, and I am a complete tool with engineering. That carbide looks formidable, much like that hypnodisc in the last incarnation. I wish it wasn't on at the same time as blue planet II. Caught parts of snowfall, and it is good. Really good. It is a bit like city of God which is a masterpiece. Edited November 14, 2017 by Norbert Rassragr Quote

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 From what I've seen so far Carbide will take some beating. The one with the flails is interesting though. Quote

It started off really well, but then as you said, it was really slow and boring. My other half has carried on watching it, and seems to like it - maybe worth another try? I enjoyed it.Would definitely recommend you watch it Iv just finished The man in the high castle, an Amazon prime show based on a novel.Really really good series Quote

Similar style programme. So look out for from one genius to the next. (Probably not called that but the rest I'm serious about ?) Quote
