Sorry, "doing well" was just a manner of speaking. It was a generalization based on how Zacc and Nicko portrayed the club as running at first (the week where all the 50 million budget rumor was flying about, how the A-lists were being drawn, etc), but I did not mean it literally.

I don't think I have been defending Venkys, have I? Just shared what I've heard.

About the Mrs. Desai being chairman rumor, let me stress again that it's only a rumor I got from some guy who claims to be in the know from Vital Football via PM, and it may not be true. God knows how many of the people claiming to be in the know may actually not know anything at all.

Well, someone had to check the passports and find out who owned the players!! It takes other clubs less than a day to do this!!

correct. got to respect the people who give me the info, but i think its also unfair on the people that are involved in sports journalism (being a journalist myself).

Come on, thenodrog, I respect your views that the club may be heading for relegation, that you think Venkys and Kean aren't doing a good job, but there is no need to insult other people who do not share those views.

And people's opinions can change, depending on circumstances and what happens at the club. It could be that Nicko and Zacc used to think highly of Venkys because they were doing well at first, but this mess came up, they screwed up and they changed their opinions. Doesn't make them any less reliable on untrustworthy. We are human beings, not robots. We can change our stances and opinions according to what happens.

No need for all those snide remarks and criticisms. You are probably more matured and well-behaved than me, I'm sure you should know that.

If Hoilett leaves then that's that. We can replace good centre halves with average ones and get away with it but not good attacking players. We only have a couple as it is. At the moment, Hoilett is the only reason to have any optimism going into the new season.
