Sorry, I am lost, does this Indian chap have any experience of football transfers previously??

Otherwise it makes little sense (should I sound surprised).

Who does this Indian chap on his books? might be a better question.

This is simply Joan reverting to type after she's had her fingers burnt. The Devil you know and all that. I'll bet they are cursing the day that they met Jerome Anderson.

no not in fball. but vastly experienced in other things.. (if its who im told!)

So am I. Plus I've forgotten more about English football than the entire Indian sub continent will ever know about it.

Gizza job Joan! G'Wan gizzit.

whispers about the agent, have made me feel a little more optimistic..

that optimism will disappear if its not who im told it is! or someone of as high a calibre!

Your man does not sound like Nickos, he'd hardly need to research someone of such standing.

Bit difficult to prove either way. Unless you get the entire Indian Sub Continent and Thenodrog in a pub and have a football quiz. 5 pints to the winning team.

Which the Indian team would automatically win because I believe the claim being tested is Thenodrog has forgotten more than they know, thus any he got right would have to be deducted as he hadn't forgotten it.

That's a very good point EiT. I hadn't thought of it like that. We'll just have to take your word for it then Theno you arrogant son of a gun.

"Tiebreaker question:

Merging four football teams will result in:

a) Success, or

b ) Failure?"

or c) I've forgotten. Again.

1. Why do you expect anybody to trust you when you've been one of venkeys staunchest supporters since they trapped up in Nov? You have supported them to the hilt. Obviously you're judgement is seriously no dangerously flawed. Put it another way your info may be accurate but your opinion is utterly worthless.

2. You still have a picture of the Brothers Grimm as your avatar.

3. You are now assuming the smugness and air of some all seeing oracle and talking down to us all in stupid riddles like that black woman in The Matrix. I rem I wanted to hold her head underwater until she spoke coherently but nowhere near as much as I do with you.

Pisses me off it really does. All this 'read back through my posts and you'll see clues' is just ######! With 20 odd pages every day who the hell can be bothered / has time to play amateur sleuth to someone who knows the square root of sweet FA whilst pretending to be in the know.... The boards very own 'Special One'.

If he continues like this will somebody up there just ban him please..... and anybody else who tips up with that smug 'I know something that you don't' junior school playground attitude.

4. Just read on and it turns out that you are either Gavs love child or his Gay Lover..... or maybe even Deb's lover. Whichever it is the above still applies.

Wow Theno ! I'm impressed (no seriously). It is not very often I find myself in complete agreement with you.....and this is no exception because I find your item 4 quite unnecessary and somewhat offensive . But as for the rest of your post......spot on!

I used his name last week and it got deleted!

It would take a whole page to describe what I have had deleted.

I have no idea why the would delete Jesus's name from here, unless you said Jesus! and were not just using his name to describe him.

We need to invoke a higher power at the moment.

This message will be hit with a mod swizzle stick in 5, 4, 3, 2...

To all the people yesterday insisting to me Venkys don't have any money or are not "that" well off. wikipedia claim they are worth 650 million but I thought it was more, here is where I originally got my impression they were billionaires (asset value at least).

"Describing Venkys owners as chicken farmers is like saying Walker had a scrap metal yard. Walker, a steel magnate, was one of Britains richest 30 men when he died in 2000, with a fortune estimated at £600m.

The Rao family are worth three times more and their business is riding the crest of the Indian economic boom. The VH Group consists of 28 companies in India with a collective turnover in 2010 of close to £1bn and group profits of about £100m. Growth is forecast at 15 per cent per year. There are no external partners and no debt. Acquisitions, including Blackburn Rovers and a new £130m vaccine plant in Switzerland, are made in cash.

The company are not listed but could fetch about £1.5bn if sold, although that is not on the cards. With an extensive property portfolio, the family are probably worth £2bn, perhaps more. Demonstrably they have money to invest where they see fit."

That could be the key, as to how they run Rovers.

You are number 2 only of the 28 groups that make Mrs D:

28 India-based companies in the VH Group

1: Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt Ltd: the core business, producing and selling one-day old chicks; makers of feed; providers of diagnostic services; flock management and other support services. Directly or indirectly produces 90 per cent of India’s chickens. Supplies all the chicken to (expanding) chains including KFC, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut. Fascinating fact: India consumes 2.8 chickens and 30 eggs per capita per year, a figure that is very low because of the tradition of vegetarianism and the historical high cost of chicken. In Brazil, for example, the corresponding numbers are 38 chickens and 300 eggs. As India develops and becomes richer, the domestic growth potential alone in an industry totally dominated by the VH Group is massive.

2: Venky’s (India) Ltd: processing and pharma primarily. Most recent report (from independent site).

3: VJ Equipment Ltd: makes all kinds of poultry farming hardware, from incubators to feeder, for home and export markets. More here.

4: VR Equipment Ltd: similar to VJE, different range of products.

5: Poultry Development & Promotion Council: commercial firm related to the National Egg Co-Ordination Committee, effectively an economics rights group for poultry farmers.

6: Eastern Hatcheries Pvt: arm of the hatcheries business.

7: Venka Investments Pvt Ltd: investment firm with interests from property to equipment manufacture.

8: Srivenk Investments Pvt: another investment firm, taking stakes in diverse new ventures, including in Lavasa, a planned new ‘green’ city in the hills between Pune and Mumbai. The Rao family were early (independent) investors but the project is experiencing problems over planning and controversy about land acquisition. The project is not a Rao venture, just one of several they have invested in via Srivenk. Fascinating fact: Lavasa is scheduled to be home to a Nick Faldo golf course, a hockey academy, a Steve Redgrave rowing academy, and a Manchester City football academy. City hope to be the first English club with a permanent India academy facility, but with Lavasa’s schedule now uncertain, Blackburn (who plan their own academy in Pune) could beat City to the punch.

9: Bala Entertainment International Pvt Ltd: produces Bollywood movies including the 2005 smash, Dus, starring Shilpa Shetty..

10: B.V.Biocorp Pvt Ltd: Vaccines / feeds.

11: Venkateshwara Biofeed Ltd: Producer of chicken food, vitamins, supplements and other animal feeds.

12: Venco Research & Breeding Farm Pvt Ltd: Breeding farm.

13: Venkateshwara Research & Breeding Farm Pvt Ltd: Breeding farm.

14: Srivenk Broiler Research & Breeding Farm Pvt Ltd: Breeding farm.

15: Srivenk Layer Breeder Farm Pvt Ltd: Breeding farm.

16: Uttara Foods and Feeds Pvt Ltd: Poultry food manufacturer now diversified in human foods.

17: Uttara Poultry & Agri Farms Pvt Ltd: Another feed division.

18: Uttara Hatcheries & Agri Farms Pvt Ltd: Another hatchery division.

19: Uttara Masala Products Pvt Ltd: Consumer goods.

20: Uttara Dairy Food Products Pvt Ltd: Consumer goods.

21: Uttara Biosciences Pvt Ltd: Supplements.

22: Uttara Impex Pvt Ltd: Import-export hub for group operations.

23: Uttara Broiler Breeder Farm Pvt Ltd: Farm / research.

24: Banda Broiler Breeder Farm Pvt Ltd: Farm / research.

25: Banda Layer Breeder Farm Pvt Ltd: Farm / research.

26: Vasu Broiler & Research Farm Pvt Ltd: Farm and associated services to franchisees, customers.

27: Vasu Layer Breeder Farm Pvt Ltd: Farm and associated services to franchisees, customers.

28: All-India Poultry Development & Services Pvt Ltd: Technical services, diagnostics, labs.

affiliations ??? does that mean you think im a plant or have an agenda ??

and you will have to remain interested.. that's for being smug! :P

Yes my friend - affiliations - these are the influences that necessarily colour the style and content of your published work. I don't particularly care whether you are a plant, but anyone can see you have an agenda. Having admitted that you are a journalist, I feel it is only fair that you give us ordinary mortals the benefit of the chance to read your words printed in open fora outside of this. After all, our other 'pet journalist', often gives us the skinny a few hours ahead of his own rag's printed publication.

So, are you an honest hack (an oxymoron, I know), or are you just a dishonest and mischevious tittle tattler? Time you put up, or shut up, I think! <_<

So, the question every Rovers fan is asking, if these people are such Big Time Billies, why the hell are they making such a fist of putting up appropriately sized sums to run and develop an established and valued brand as Blackburn Rovers?

There is no logic in simply trotting out all 50 or so companies that make up the Dynasty, as it appears these have the square root of shag all to do with the Indian owners of Blackburn Rovers actually running the club in a reasonable and effective way. In fact, the more that folk say, "Venky's is a massive and well heeled operation," the greater the paradox that is the current shambles becomes. :wstu:
