[Archived] Rumour: Venky's To Sell?

Recommended Posts

Exactly, we have less than half that amount for transfers, unless the pony tailed one has decided to chip in.

Well, Honda does fit in with the Bling-dians "Marquee" level transfer. Would be a top quality signing for us and would also vastly improve the view of the club and Venkys especially from its current subterranean levels of support.

But we don't have the money BomBom, so its another non event.

Mrs D sees the transfer budget as covering:

Transfer fee +

agent's fee +

transfer bonuses +

the full four years wages committed to in the contract

Make that over £20m for Honda

Thanks.

Bet she doesn't spread the feed, electrical, manual, vaccine, transport cost over the life of her best cock. Oh and the odd hair do.

The 5m a year they are putting in wont even cover the wages of another Andrews let alone all the other cost that come with him. delude is a understatement.

Okay, it appears that I've caused a misunderstanding with my post. I apologize for that.

I am not saying Honda is a done deal. Makey and Callumrovers have said that Rovers have bidded 9 million pounds for Honda, and that's that. I'm just passing it on here and making the comment that if we can bid 9 million, we must have got cash to spare otherwise we wouldn't have bothered.

Please do not equate me as saying "We've gotten Honda."

Sorry about that.

No No no read my post properly. I said bidding and buying is not the same thing. In the area where I live there are a lot of Mansion type properties by the sea. No luxury spared. One was on the market not long ago. ANYBODY could put in an offer for that property. Give the impression they are going to buy, string the sellers along, then pull out when it suits them.

Any team can put in a bid for a player, any club could ask about a any player - just to give the impression everything is ok money wise, a smoke screen. If Rovers have put in a bid for Honda - when will it collapse?

Welcome back Bom-Bom.

Last time I looked you had Mark Hughes lined up to replace Kean. What's the big story in your fantasy world today ?

What's all that eeeh, ahhh stuff for Fife?

I wasn't trying to find fault with your post either, just trying hard to remember when the club had as many fans as irate against the way the club was heading, as it has now.

As for...... "I also was alluding to the fact that throughout all these tribulations there was always a hard core of fans like Al and myself and a FEW thousand others that NEVER gave up on them and never will. That's all Den!".......

Congrats Fife. True fans are hard to come by. Don't understand why you wrote that, though.

Oh dear...What have I done? I am sorry Den . i don't know what came over me this afternoon. I can only putit down to having a few too many at lunch time. Went out with some om my excolleagues for a wee drinky sesh. Not feeling too good just now

Ah, my bad. I completely misinterpreted your statement.

And to be fair, it wasn't BomBom's story. He was just telling us his source said so, but he admitted after that it was unlikely, and then confirmed that Hughes wasn't approached. Got to stop hitting him with that one.

Exactly??????

How on earth can you believe anything PhilipL tells you, I have never seen him post anything thats not negative, yesterday I bet he thought we had no money and he even had a PDF copy of a bank statement as proof.

Today he claiming he knows how Mrs D plans her targets and finance is all inclusive.

Well how about they promised 5 million in Jan, was she including wages then hey:

Formica 3.5 million, 4 years at 35k = 7.2 miillion, bonus lets say 500k

Rochina 500k wages 30k 4 year contract = 6,2 million

J Jones at 60k 6months = 1.2 million

Santa Cruz at 90k 6months ish = 1.8 million

So infact Venkys spent according PhilipsL's rubbish over £20 million in Jan

Wake up GAV and stop believing the negative extremists on here and have an open mind, your noramlly sensible, but you getting too easily infleuenced.

Lets wait see what happens.

d stop believing the negative extremists on here and have an open mind,

Given events over the summer, give us something to be positive about Chris.

Lancashire are doing well at cricket, but with regards to Rovers, I'm struggling to think of a reason to be cheerful.

You also haven't answered it. What is the point of bidding for a player - that they have read about on here - knowing they have no money to buy him. If they have bid for Honda, I suggest it is nothing but a smoke screen.

Anyway changing the subject slightly - how is the weather in Pune today?

What planet are you on? Formica & Rochina on 30k? Really? Id be surprised if the both of their wages hit 30k.

I hear they are on relatively low numbers and this is straight question- are they both on four year contracts?

Cut the bloke some slack, he is not a Venkys PR guy or has any links to them-Glenn said as much a while ago. Always good to see some balance on the MB Black burn :)

Three and four year deals.

Regardless can see both getting paid close to 1 million a season, that's seven million on top of 4 million in transfers.

They may very well turn out to be useless, I'm not trying to spin everytihng to look good, its just I'm a little tried of people presenting rumours as fact and everyone getting depressed.

I didn't like the Walkers trust much, last summer was more depressing because there were not even rumours let alone money.

I'm expecting things to imrpove, thought something would have happened sooner, but then Jack spent 55 million with Hodgson and Kidd and we ended up 19th.

If its the last day of the window and we get two really top players on the back of maybe two freebies or small fee signings, that will do me.

If we don't spend a good amount I'll be a ###### as anyone else.

let me guess you have seen the PDF? lol

Like Kean said, by the end of the window we will know what the budget was.

I'm sure with their 650 mill or 1.5 billion pound company(s) (whatever it really is) Venkys have someone who can sort Barclays out.

It was a lovely stick to beat Venkys with, but didn't convince me I'm afriad.

Oh I don't know.....Shifting Samba, Hoilett and Ollson shouldn't be too difficult....Then maybe Robbo and N'Zonzi.....After that it gets a little bit more difficult...But...

selling players should be rather easely, but with an in-house super-agent, he must be on peanuts and that should suit venky´s

Probably not. The "debt" or mortgage is supposed to be paid separately - the funds for that is in a different account from the funds used for transfer. According to Vital Football, the funds had always been available, as opposed to popular belief, but thanks to internal bickering and a certain Steve Kean, the owners didn't let him use them. It's in the transfer thread if you don't believe me. In fact, you don't have to believe me but I assure you I didn't mean that to be a joke.

ahhh its all making sense now, they appoint a rookie, label him as a great thinker, but as the thinker has spoken and revealed his thoughts, the cash is gone. Now they dont trust him. The honky tonk thinker is now a venky outcast and free to be thrown under the bus. Gotta love venky and their honest, loyal and compassionate management style, they are born leaders.

We all live and die by our decisions and choices, they choosed him and even if i dont particulary like him, its a bullshit move, to use kean as an excuse, when it comes to spending money. Kean is getting the allardyce treatment.

Rumours about transfers that have very little likelihood of happening make you happy but the strong, stable well-managed club that we had last summer did not ?

Please explain.

Whilst the clubs finances are "debatable" at present, the Rao's were willing to stump up for Ronaldinho, should he have gone for it and its long been said that they would pay for any Marquee players above and over the run of the mill signings the manager made.

Whilst Kean doesnt have any money to spend as its been put on hold, the Rao's and/or Venkys India do have that money, so its still entirely feasible that they could fund it personally. Plus they would make a fair bit off the back of his profile in Asia. So, possibly, we do have money to spend, but potentially at the whim of the Rao's.

Honda was checked out ealier in the summer but, like others, such as Anjukov, Cisse etc, they didnt materialise, be that because of the cost i dont know.

On a seperate note, have no information either way to confirm this but when Venkys bought the club, club debt was around 20m? A business bank account cannot be transferred so i assumed that they paid that debt off in the form of a mortgage, attached to Venkys London's assets, i.e. the club, brockhall, etc. There has been suggestions that they have had use of an overdraft since taking over and they have run up 18m in that too so, if that is accurate, total debt linked to the club/Venkys london would be around 38 million?

Anyone else seen or heard anything similar?

Send me your email address and I will send you the PDF.

Their stake in the only publicly-quoted part of their business is worth a bit under $300m but of curse they cannot easily turn that into cash as it is a 54% controlling stake. The price on Venky's shares is currently 618 rupees having had a low of 120 and a high of 990 within the last two years. That is not exactly solid.

You are entitled to your opinion and dreams....
