I expressed an opinion on how I thought things went, and I get slammed for believing that I am a "football expert". Using terms like "I think" have been futile because people ignore my statements "if I'm wrong please enlighten me" and continue to slam me for "pretending to be an expert".

I have not defended Venkys at all, but bob fleming claims that I am. I wonder which part of my sentences is actually defending the Venkys. But it seems that whatever I say will be construed as Venkys defending, so I see no point in saying anything anymore.

I am a stooge for thinking Ellen Ripley ahead of Stuart Ripley. I also happen to be a science-fiction horror fan, which is why the first Ripley that popped into my mind was Ellen Ripley instead. But since I'm a stooge who can't even supposedly remember the name of legendary football players, I don't deserve to be a Blackburn fan. I understand, I get the message.

I have also proved that I am not a fan by supposedly defending Venkys.

I hope things get better and you guys get what you want (whether it's Venkys selling the club, replacing Kean), and are happier without me around "playing Venkys PR".

In the past I have posted slightly rude things about this guy. Some things he says really really wind me up. I have at times suspected he was a plant and at other times merely a troll.

However, 'Black Burn' is always polite and never rude to other posters. He very probably IS a genuine overseas Rovers fan, and therefore we really should not hound him off the board. The club can not grow if fans from other parts of the world are not welcomed with open arms. I often feel like an outsider because I've never lived in Blackburn. I was born in Bacup and brought up in Lancaster. Yet sometimes even that feels a long long way away from most other supporters. 'Black Burn' is young, and (I think I recall) Japanese - he not only has a right to his opinions (although frequently ridiculous) but is also very important if BRFC is to ever grow bigger than being a small town club. It was also a fair point he made about appointing non-footballing management from lower leagues.

Shame on the guy for not knowing who Stuart Ripley was, but it's nearly twenty years ago guys. He's probably not much older than this himself.

And what's up with Philip today? He's highlighting mildly critical snippets from the Indian press, savagely attacked the percieved amateurism of some poor guy's website AND is now using the word 'poo' to emphasise his points! I'm not even at the end of the thread yet.

IN MY OPINION: Venkys, at best, are clueless dilettantes or, at worse, intentionally destroying the club.

I hope the trust are hanging their heads in shame too, selling to this lot was the biggest mistake they ever made.

The Trust have screwed up royally, from what I've seen. Not their issue, I suppose. Jack died and the heirs wanted rid, apparently.

It may not change anything, but I don't have to be respectful to those people (Venkys and Kean) who have done NOTHING to earn our respect.

IN MY OPINION: If Venkys want "respect", they should earn it. Get rid of Kean and hire Hughes. Give Hughes a respectable transfer budget of 10 million/year. Wasn't that the original plan? It could work. Hire a Chairman who knows the Rovers. I'd suggest JW and/or Tom Finn, assuming they were gluttons for punishment enough to return to the club. But it won't happen. I doubt Venkys have enough moral courage to admit they were wrong and ask the forgiveness of those they pushed out with no real cause.

IN MY OPINION: But being autocratic millionaires living off their father's work means: 1) never having to say "sorry"; and, 2) never having a cross word being spoken in their presence. Nothing but positive vibes around them. Here, have some more Kool-Aid.

I'm tired of hearing excuses from Venky's. They should realise by now that their words mean nothing to Rovers fans - they've proved themselves untrustworthy time and time again, and only action will alter the very low opinion most fans have of our owners at the moment. I take any quote from the chuckle brothers and Mrs Desai with a pinch of salt at the moment, and until they prove me wrong by doing something right for a change I won't be changing my opinion of them any time soon, no matter how many nice little soundbites they come out with.

Also, I would love Hughes back in charge but how do we know we havent tried to lure him back but been told no? players dont seem to want to join and it could be the same with staff aswel. Just a thought.

Yes I agree and my first thought were that it was probably meant as sarcastic. I were just asking in a friendly manner though as being new Im enjoying hearing everyones views on all the comments floating around these pages.

Really? Great community spirit. How does that effect anyones comment or opinion. I personally joined this site as I heard it was more active then the official boards plus the members on here are more friendly. From what I have seen there are genuinely nice people around this place but there are one too many people like yourself who post stupid unnecessary comments towards new members. End of the day its irrelevant when someone joined the site and to call anyone out on that basis makes you look the fool.
