Not a big fan of rumours like this. Massively Vague, completely against the grain of everything else we have heard from the Rao's and extremely dangerous to the reputation of the club if it is banded about in the press. Transfer rumours are to be expected, because the tabloids have noticed what the average male reader buys the paper in the first place, to read about football. The season is over and thousands of agents are most likely working their socks off(*) to find clubs for their clientel.

This rumour is completely different though. It has been started in a way that can seriously hurt the relationship between fans and the owners (as if it wasn't bad enough in some fans eyes)

Whoever is responsible should think about what kind of knock on this may have. I hear rumours all the time, the general football rumour starts in the same fashion "My mate's brothers uncle know's Frank de Boer's nan..."

So I implore all the extremely sheepish Rovers fans to take this kind of rumour with a pinch of salt. The Newspapers pick stories from anywhere they can, they will say anything to sell a paper and last of all plenty of them would love to take another swipe at our owners. We, as a group of supporters should have the best interest of our club at heart.... Journalist or not!

The old model had run it's course - we were maxed out at a 20 mill overdraft remember that had been run up by the previous regime. The Jones money would be needed to keep paying the bloated salary bill

From the targets that Nicko has mentioned in the last two days and his article in the Mirror stating we need to sell before we can buy, despite the departure of Jones, it sounds like Venkys are running the Trust model mk2.

i heard on the podcast that it is hoped in the future BRFCS.com will act as a line of communication from the fans to the club (owners particularly).

that was recorded last weekend and here we are 3 or 4 days later..

and our own messageboard.. has started, then publisised and now actively peddling this RUMOUR! it is not in the best interests of the club! and is severely damaging!

btw.. yours was a fine post in all aspects, the artist.

Reading through the thread, many have heard the rumour and speculation that has been fairly widespread since about March involving some 'familiar' names and some 'not so familiar'.

you really believe that. since march.. and we are now in july and this supposedly same rumour has just come out!

its easy to latch onto anything after the fact! you cant be that stupid to be seduced by those attention seekers who just want to get on their soapbox and all so they can appear important and 'in the know' ! can you ?

I've just wasted 30 mins re-reading this entire thread and whilst there have been loads of off topic and content-less insults removed, I don't notice any of them being yours. But frankly, if they were, it's only the mods being even handed, we get accused of favouritism towards you all the time. You departure will hopefully make people realise that was never the case.

Feel free to take up any moderating decisions you feel we get wrong with Ste or I, the mods are removing dozens, possibly hundreds a day (especially from the transfer area), so we my get the odd one wrong (in fact, I've apologised for us doing that several time recently), but really, storming off without checking first, I'd have thought much much better of you.

The board will be worse for not having you around, but we'll survive. I'd rather be fair and missing one of the things that has made us stand out for a few years now, than telling the mods to give you special treatment. But as I said, I can't find the post you're on about (unless you don't mean your own), so I'm kinda guess here.

I think that you will also find that I was the first one to flag the Kean managerial position (about to be replaced ?) pre the Fulham away match.

IMO, Venky's have had an exit scenario for some time - now, it looks like they are putting it in place.

I don't need to justify myself to you or anyone else on this MB and please don't contradict yourself as my views were made before the said 'events'. IMO, if you believe that nothing happened down in London that weekend then fine but others on this MB think differently.
