Anyway. In an attempt to get this back on topic about the RUMOUR that venkys to sell. We are aware that the LET come on here and read various posts. They would have also heard the rumour. Surprised they haven't said something simular - 'a rumour is cycling in Blackburn that the owners may want to re-sell the club'. But there has been nothing.

do you think maybe the LET are not prepared to go into print over an unsubtanciated rumour, cos it can still be conscrewed as libel etc...

or does that not fit in with your blinkered view of all this ?

What's wrong with posting rumours - nothing. Rumours are posted all the time - and you don't delete them do you? No, neither should you.

Getting very fed up with people who don't want any criticism of the club posting on here. The argument is that these rumours could harm the club. How exactly? Giving this rumour exposure on here gives Venky's the chance of knocking it stone dead. That might do them a favour at the end of the day.

100% agreed. Kamy, Glenn and the others do good work. And they clearly labeled it a rumor, so no harm done.

Venkys could disprove the rumor by: 1) making a clear statement; or, 2) buying some high quality players; or, 3) bringing in a respected manager, chairman, etc. Any of those tacks would show commitment to the club (more 2 and 3, and less 1, however). That they haven't is worrying, though I hope 2 and possibly 3 are around the corner.

The part in bold could be anything from building a youth football ground in Pune to releasing a new Rovers bobblehead in every childs Happy Meal.

That's seems more reasonable but for those of us who weren't aware of the background it did seem a bit extreme for an Admin to be calling a poster a @#/? seemingly unprovoked.

To be fair to Black Burn I know how he's feeling as i had the same thing happen but for the complete opposite reason. When Venky's took over there was a small percetage of people, me included, that weren't happy and I in particular was accused of being a Burnley fan on several occassion because I didn't buy into the Venky's hype most of the board were doing.

But now the situation completely reveresed and most are negative towards the chicken farmers and people are now accussing anyone that sticks up for them as being part of their PR.

If you truly believe he is PR for Venkys then what're you moaning about? Surely what he's therefore writing should be taken as a positive for two reasons; The fact that they are keeping in contact with the fans (albeit it would be through an odd means) and secondly, what Black Burn has been saying is largely positive in itself.

Anyway...why would Venkys PR be writing at 1am (Japan time-ish I believe)?
