Paul Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 People are confusing having an agenda with not admitting they are wrong. Just because you firmly nail you colours to a particular mast and when others disagree you find attack is the best form of defence doesn't mean you have an agenda, it's just means you're a bit of a stubborn tool. Several people have already responded superbly to this question of fans with an agenda. I echo all those remarks. The simple fact is the Raos have promised the world and delivered nothing. Before we get the usual January transfer quoted back it doesn't cut any ice for me. RSC was awful, JJ a success who has gone and Rochina / Formica have contributed nothing yet. Cheap STs? Yes a continuation of existing strategy without which sales may have collapsed further. The wage bill, already unsustainable, has been driven upwards with no sign of additional income to fund this. For me this is the single biggest concern. I don't know if the Raos are competent or not. What I do know is they have yet to show the ability or understanding required to run a football club. Unlike some I'm not impressed by how many cars a man owns. I take note of his actions. Apparently the next plan is to put a 21 year old on the board in four years time. I imagine this young man must already being showing clear indications of being an outstanding businessman and gaining experience of the world. Or perhaps he's still at school and waiting to go to university?? Which is more likely? The only people I want running the club are those competent to do so. Venky's have still to demonstrate they deserve our support.
Kamy100 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I believe that owners are going to deny sale rumours. Maybe something in this morning's LT. If they do this then fair enough will take it on face value, I still believe different as information that I have been given is from a very credible source, some of what I have been told checks out, I also been given the possible identity of the bidder but at the moment none of what i have been told about this rumour and the alleged shocking situation at the can be proved so better just to keep quiet.

That's fair enough, but I would like to know why you consider this person as a "very credible source" and why is he giving you this information?
Kamy100 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 That's fair enough, but I would like to know why you consider this person as a "very credible source" and why is he giving you this information? Without revealing who the source is i cannot prove their credibility other than a number of correct stories that we have broke on BRFCS over the last 18 months have come from this same source. But until we have proper proof there is no way that I will post any further rumours.
Athlete Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I hope kamy your source is correct and someone else takes over as this situation cant continue the club is a shambles completely , with more departures looking likely...
Stuart Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Slightly confused Kamy. You suggested previously that we take Venkys next comments at face value but now appear to be saying the opposite? However, assuming your info is correct, is this bidder one you would be happy with or concerned about?
Teacup Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 http://www.lancashir...e_here_to_stay/ By Andy Cryer »Blackburn Rovers reporter
tcj_jones Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I've never been convinced that Venky's intentions were in any way honourable or that we ever actually had any money to spend. I've waited, hoping to be proved wrong, but it looks like my fears that they were only ever here strip the club of its assets and to make a quick buck may have been well-founded. If they go, expect a fire sale of all our good players, Championship football next season, and a fight against administration. We'd better hope Formica and Rochina are the real deal or we'll have a far weaker squad than last season that will find it very difficult to beat the drop.

However, assuming your info is correct, is this bidder one you would be happy with or concerned about? Sorry Jisty, what I meant is we have to take Venky's comment on face value because cannot prove otherwise, that is fair enough. Now of couse I could have been fed a load tosh re these rumours but all I am saying is that this has come from someone who has been very right in the past so am willing to keep chasing this story but until can prove otherwise will accept what owners say.
Ozz Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 http://www.lancashir...e_here_to_stay/ "Sections of Rovers fans have become increasingly concerned by reports on the internet that Venky’s had grown disillusioned with their first foray into football ownership forcing the club to firmly set the record straight." I take it Kamy and Cryer are working hand in glove then now? Is the LET becoming the official mouthpiece of this message board? "The Lancashire Telegraph also understands Rovers are on the hunt for a new club doctor with Dr Phil Batty set to join Manchester City this summer." Jesus H Christ what next? The Jack Walker statue? The Premier League trophy from the cabinet? Has anyone checked that it still there?

Do you think it could be a smoke screen or to flush out a mole though Kamy ? i.e feed you a "for sale" rumour, and then that way your contact is exposed ?
Teacup Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Is the LET becoming the official mouthpiece of this message board? With any luck this thread will disappear now and we can all pretend it never happened

The Jack Walker statue? The Premier League trophy from the cabinet? Has anyone checked that it still there? Was about to comment on Phil Batty going myself. I suspect if the Jack Walker Statue had legs it would get up and walk out of Ewood itself. I don't blame Batty for going - probably for much better pay and for a more certain job at the moment but it's really time someone did something to stop the rot at Ewood. I suspect that fabled tea lady would do better at running things and getting jobs done than anyone at Ewood at the moment.

John Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Ask anyone at the club or involved in football. Exciting times.
bastionRover Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Kamy, with regards to the prospective buyer (if indeed true), do you know anything about them? Are they known within the footballing world? I understand you can't reveal names or direct details.
chaddyrovers Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Now that the owners are staying (or so they say), please can we start buying some good players!!! Please can you and Kean sort out your differences and agree who want out and how much the transfer budget should be!

I suspect that fabled tea lady would do better at running things and getting jobs done than anyone at Ewood at the moment. I heard about Phil Batty going yesterday and have to say that it's yet another major blow. I can't remember a time when I have less looked forward to a new season than this one. We survived last season by the skin of our teeth and since then we have seen the squad weakened with the loss of Phil Jones and with Jermaine Jones, Santa Cruz and Diouf returning to their own clubs. Season ticket sales are well down, off the field we seem a complete and utter shambles and all we get from the owners is talk, talk and more talk.
John Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I remember speaking to Phil Batty - top man and loved working with Sparky and Sam. What could have changed?
Bobby G Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 This joke keeps on getting funnier and funnier. Incompetence at its best in my opinion and I dont give two flying monkeys if they're still holding some of the fans by the grapefruits still.

Without revealing the identify of the potential bidder which your sources have suggested in confidence to you Kamy could you answer this one question? If events unfolded where this bidder was successful would you be comfortable/happy with them as owners of our beloved club? A simple yes/no/maybe would give us an indication on this one.
Alan75 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Chris Mowbray who has been the Accademy doctor for 12 years, has also left the club.
