As far as denials from the Venkeys then it means nothing. Anybody in virtually any negotiation will not say anything which might influence those negotiations. Stands to reason even though the more impressionable will take it all in as gospel.

Personally I think the water is up to our noses and rising. Things do NOT look good at the Rovers. On the other hand, I don't want to throw in the towel or become a raging hater, so I'm looking for reasons to hope.

All that said, I think Venkys are on the verge of being absolutely despised by millions. They'd better get their collective thumbs out of their posteriors and start getting things done.

Ok so Venky's have come out and denied this rumour, we have to believe what they are saying so until there is something contrary ro this this topic is closed.

I don't have to be believe anything they say. Statistically, it's not a good bet.

If they're not selling, great. They should make some realistic moves for quality players ASAP. If they're selling, great. They should get the deal done and not leave it so late that they'll be blamed for handicapping the club.

I find it ironic that a few days ago there were people on this board saying "Venkys better say something! We need them to come out and either confirm or deny this rumor!"

And Venkys did deny the rumor, people started saying "who would believe anything Venkys say? Everything they say is a lie."

On the transfer thread and perhaps here, there were people saying "we need at least one signing to assure the fans that they are doing something!"

When Blackburn Rovers agreed a fee with Monaco for Mongungu, people began saying "oh gosh, why are we signing such a cheap bargain bin player? We need to pour in the cash and buy much better players now!"

On one hand I think fans are justified to think that their club is in trouble, especially with Alan Nixon's news and Kamy's suspicions, but to be demanding one thing one minute, and then changing demands when you actually get it and flaming the Venkys for that seem unreasonable, no?

Admittedly I do hope the people slamming the Venkys for being liars and not trustworthy are different from the ones who demanded a confirmation or denial in the first place.

I'm willing to go out on a limb here. Some net detective work has lead me to believe 100% that Black Burn's back story checks out and he is not employed by Venky's. Whether he has contacts there is a different matter, but from the information he's given on here (and some handy contacts in Singapore and Japan) I believe everything he's said about his private life.

There is one piece of documentary evidence spanning 6 years that all but proves it (or at least proves he's part of a 6 year long subterfuge), but I'll leave that up to him whether he discloses it as it's quite personal.

For God's sake, I've said it a hundred times. I am not a Venkys PR man. The next time you make me repeat myself, I might actually do something drastic.

And read my post carefully. I never mentioned anything about my believing Venkys. In fact I said the fans are justified to think the club is in trouble. A fair statement that never asked anyone to believe in the Venkys, no?

My point was that one day people are demanding one thing, and when they get it, they toss it back into the giver's face by calling them liars. I don't believe the demanders and tossers are the same crowd, but that was it.

No one is doing any PR for Venkys, least of all me.

1. There are many different perspectives on this board. Meeting the expectations of one group (denying the rumors) does nothing to address the perceptions of another group (such as myself) who are beginning to think that Venkys is, to quote my cowboy grandfather, "All hat and no cattle."

2. My suspicions, and I assume others, of Venkys are not the result of Kamy or Alan Nixon's views. My cynicism is largely sourced in comparing what Venkys has said to what they've actually done, to date.

3. As fans, we are largely powerless. All we have is a voice and limited financial ability to influence the club (via shirt and ticket sales). As we are relatively powerless, we constantly look for re-assurance from our club's leaders. Unfortunately, I believe the Rovers are having a crisis in leadership, Owner ---> Chairman ---> Manager. We have no chairman, and the other two have done nothing yet to demonstrate that they are/will be honest, competent, effective leaders for the Rovers. That gives rise to an abundance of fear and uncertainty that mere talk will do nothing to alleviate.

1. Yes, I understand. Hence my statement that the ones doing the demanding and the criticizing are two different groups of people.

2. I'm not saying they are the result of Kamy or Alan Nixon's views, I'm just suggesting that the recent news from them may have played a big part in how people are viewing them now.

I disagree with this. I don't always agree with him, but the few times he's appeared "dense", from my view, I think are associated with language/nuance.. For example, at one point he didn't seem to get that I was giving him a sideways compliment which makes me suspect that he is either incredibly literal or English is his second language.
