To be fair there is a little more to this rumour than usual.

I don't think there will be any movement on it for couple of weeks though, with the squad being away on Venky's promotional duties.

I have to echo those sentiments. Those in the know that aren't actually in the know) are doing more harm than good. Please keep your none information to yourselves until you can actiually disclose something worthwhile. Otherwise all you are doing is (maybe deliberately) winding people up, fueling anti Venky's responses (again maybe deliberately) and basically pissing people off. Just don't do it!

Not really, like the Ryan Giggs thing it's easy to find out what everyone's on about if you use your gulliver and search around. That's all I did, then when I put 2+2 together I asked someone and they confirmed it.

All the information is pretty much on this thread, it's just dotted about amongst a lot of gnashing of teeth and point scoring.

Ask around and someone may tell you, but all the info is pretty much already here if you can be bothered going through all the pages and piecing it together. Whether you want to do that over what is in actuality at the moment a rumour, albeit a strong one from good sources, is up to you.

Also to the fellow above telling people to keep schtum. This is a Rovers message board and this is also a RUMOUR thread to discuss a RUMOUR. If you don't like it, don't read it. I personally like the little tidbits that keep being thrown out. It may even lead to some good news, you never know.

Personally I am getting sick of the constant rumours that keep doing the rounds. Many well informed posters have gone from £50m transfer kitty's to possibly not even having the Jones money to spend - all in the space of a couple of weeks. We have had rumours of buy outs and now an asteroid is supposedly going to hit Ewood Park.

1. If Venky's do read this message board (yet another rumour). YOU are responsible for the current chaos. To be honest - in the background you could be doing an brilliant job (though there has to be some doubts) - but because you leave a vacuum in the UK - you leave this to be filled by rumours. Believe me the premiership myth is maintained by rumours - which Rovers were subject to even when we had excellent stewardship from John Williams. We desperately need a chairperson based in the UK to provide strong leadership - and open up appropriate lines of communication to reduce the flow of rumours (in truth they will never stop).

2. Zac & Phil - if you know something - tell us. Kamy released the "sale" rumour because he felt it was going to break anyway. Both of you have said many people know the rumours that strike you with so much fear, and it will break shortly - so why not release the details on the message board as Kamy did.

3. Zac - you previously were optimistic about Venky's - presumably because of rumours you had heard. You are now less optimistic because of rumours you have heard. I trust you can see where I am going with this

4. Phil - you keep mentioning injunctions as a reason why even the truth can some times lead to litigation. Are you saying the Venky's have issued a super injunction to prevent these latest rumours coming out. If not - why can't you release the details ?

P.S. Hope to be in Morecambe tomorrow - so hopefully somebody will be wearing a BRFCS badge so I can seek them out and they can tell me verbally these damned rumours (though of course they will presumably have to shoot me afterwards )

The 'mortgage' or 'overdraft facility' that was taken out against the tv rights has been used by Venkys to pump cash into other areas of their business. Resulting in much more debt against our club - hence where the 'transfer' money has gone and cost cutting measures behind the scenes. To compound this further there is/was a wealthy bidder prepared to take the club on but Venkys don't want to sell as possibly the financial state of the club may show some anomalies.

Venkys made a clumsy mistake, losing (parts of) our transermoney, the A-list we had with Cisse and Witsel was then dismissed and we went to a new C-list Inc Pavone and Ribeiro. A potential buyer came in play but Venkys love the free PR the club is giving them; just look at the Honda story for example so they don't want/need to sell.

In a nutshell that's it.

Just speculating, but would anyone sell right now when there's good marketing to be had in a tournament? Those shirts didn't get made up for nothing

Likewise, there's no way they are going to sign any players if they are going to pull out of the club. Of course these rumours may just be a total coincidence and we aren't buying/bidding for anyone for different reasons.

So many strange things going on. Shirt sponsorship is another one, why take this long to get one?
