tony gale's mic Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Wouldn't we all. Although those same administrators wanted to dispose of us. However I distinctly remember Nicko saying the Trust were looking at alternative ways to finance us and if Venky's hadn't appeared when they did we would've been taken off the market. I also remember hearing a few rumours (just rumours but maybe one or two others more in the know can shed some light) that if our Premier League position was genuinely put into jeopardy that the Trust would have freed up some funds to sign players in the January transfer window - to protect the value of the club if nothing else. However it's a testament to the way the club was run that we never really got to find this out - even in the Ince season by the time the Jan transfer window was in full swing we were on the up (and signed Givet and Diouf anyway). To say we were heading towards relegation under the Trust is a total lie.

Mattyblue Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 i can only deduce that the owners dont want to spend their own money on us. that is unforgivable if true! and ive just had that confirmed, by a source! MY GOD! Think it may be time to change your avatar...
greco Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 From what I've been told the bank have only pulled the plug and demanded the money recently, this wasn't the case from the beginning, in fact wasnt the case a month ago. Nicko posted potential signings in good faith, this was the case then, isn't the case now. an overdraft that just kept growing and growing.. The bank shut that down and wanted to see some money, as they might doubt venky´s.. nooooo really.. They couldnt just keep borrowing and not pay some back, how unfair.!
A cup of beans Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 with all that has happened, those who saw the failures and broken promises, as an indication of what was to come, they were hitting the nail on the head, repeteadly. you couldnt counter their views with logical reasoning and i suspect its due to a severe lack of intelligence, wouldnt you agree barry white Jr.? Thay had a honeymoon period, but that quickly dissapeared and those with minimal brain capacity, could see that something wasnt right. I guess having an "agenda", beats being to thick to comprehend what was happening greco.. shows he's a genius yet again! severe lack of intelligence.. if you say so if you want a fight.. go out and have 1.. dont come on a football messageboard.. to do it! MORON!
PAFELL Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Rovers are not in imminent danger of insolvency given the playing and non-playing assets the club holds. Some players can be sold quickly. If Roversinsider is correct, this is mind boggling incompetency on the part of the Pune bean counters who now 100% control and micro-manage Rovers books of accounts. What I have heard is that assigning the Phil Jones transfer made Barclays happy but perhaps Roversinsider has better and more up-to-date information. The Trust overdraft is subject to an agreement with Venky's London under which they pay it down over three years. If that is not being honoured and Barclays really have gone macho com macho then Barclays could seize their shares in Rovers to pay off the debt. If they are in that much trouble then we are most certainly up for sale and it is anyone's guess who they would sell us to. Incidentally, a sizeable hole in Rovers cash was opened up by finishing a lowly 15th with loss of £800k per place prize money seriously reducing the Sky handout at the end of May. The remaining bad news not in the public domain now is not primarily of a financial nature. So if the bit in bold happened, Barcleys could sell those shares to whoever they wanted too in order to get their money back. Basically force Venkys to sell the club.
A cup of beans Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Think it may be time to change your avatar... already got a replacement in mind.. matty! I had heard this back in January and dismissed it. Even when we found the mortgage had gone in, I accepted that this was bungling by naive new owners. Now, I am pretty certain Mrs D has decreed that family funds are not to be touched and am watching to see if those crying "asset strippers" are being proven right. I hope not but props could be due to the normally highly informed and respected poster who said that the day after Venky's were confirmed as the purchasers. i was hoping i was wrong.. phillip!
philipl Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 So if the bit in bold happened, Barcleys could sell those shares to whoever they wanted too in order to get their money back. Basically force Venkys to sell the club. Paul has just re-posted a post I made on the mortgage thread which I had forgotten about. It is even more scary- Venky's London's loan is secured against ALL ASSETS in Rovers. So they could save themselves the headache of selling the whole club and take an asset like Brockhall.
Ralfinho Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 just read this on the Venky's website "This club has a proud history as that of its owners and has won English Premiere League for three times and FA Cup six times in total. As a part of its future strategy, the VH Group is determined to establish Blackburn Rovers as a truly global brand and take all efforts to ensure retaining and further upgrading its status of being one of the best run clubs within the premier League." Makes me laugh My Ass

koi Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 What the Premier League is crying for is a 'Fit & Proper Person Test' for all potential owners, that way we can have confidence is those running our clubs and potential disasters like this would be avoided *I am being sarcastic

broadsword Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Think it may be time to change your avatar... Keep it, but with the word "scum" printed on it.
A cup of beans Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 There is and it was done. Yet somehow they still slipped through it. as did ali syed.. and all the pompey gangsters!
broadsword Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 The Premier League tests for "Fit and Proper", not for "recklessness and idiocy". They'd pass the "recklessness and idiocy" test with flying colours, I'm sure.

That does make you.. drums please.. stupid.

A cup of beans Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 So accusing others of having agendas, is purely football related (i put in a smíley, a language you seem to understand) LAST POINT. yes.. cos their agendas were football related. what are yours ?? id advise you to read my last post.. see if it sinks in!
Roost Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 just read this on the Venky's website "This club has a proud history as that of its owners and has won English Premiere League for three times and FA Cup six times in total. tony gale's mic Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 So we have won the "Premiere League"(SP) three times? Brilliant, i thought it was just the once. God 'elp us. In their minds, that would probably have been true in two years' time so might as well change it now and save an editing job later.

greco Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 LAST POINT. yes.. cos their agendas were football related. what are yours ?? id advise you to read my last post.. see if it sinks in! if its last point, why do you ask a question, doesnt seem logical. Surprise surprise. you know nothing about, if some had agendas or not. If some had an agenda, you once again, would know absolutely nothing about, what the reason were. So no, your accusations were not football related, they were related to your lack of intelligence and ability to counter argue or just trolling. Perhaps your accusation of racism, was also football related.. i´ll advise you to read my first post again and hopefully it sinks in. venkys´s have fukked us, some felt the pain quite fast and said no thanks, while others bend over and willingly asked for more.
