Do we actually know this is 100% or even 60% true? The whole thing sounds like a load of tosh to me.

Why would a major bank withdraw credit? As far as I know rovers aren't a credit risk particularly with the money in the bank from jones. The interest on this money would be a good income stream for the bank. Even if they did recalculate the risk it would not be instant withdrawal. We have lots of assets which could be mortgaged it require I.e the training ground.

Why are the mirror the only paper to run with this article? I have already mentioned the mirror has previously published stories about British troops torturing Iraqis which turned out to be made up. Could it be that nicko source at the rovers has got the facts a bit wrong or has heard it from someone who in turn has heard it from someone. Unless the source is on the board which I doubt .... As they have all gone.. Then it could be untrue.

The fact we havent made any major signs (like a few clubs spurs, bolton, ever ton, villa) doesn't mean we are skint

There's a programme on Channel 4 tonight called 'How To Buy A Football Club'... Think we'll be featured on it?

Nah.. second thoughts they would have to name it 'How To Buy A Football Club - And Trash It In 6 Months'!!

Insiderover posts on here sometimes, he usually has some good info, wonder if it's the same guy.

Insiderrover seems very knowledgable based on his twitter posts, wonder what else is coming out, we have been warned by BPF and co that more bad news is on the way.

Thanks to some very useful information just received...

The club was sold for £23 million. That is between Venkys and the Trustees.

There was a pledge to pump in £15 million for players. A very grey area at the moment.

The 'debt' was taken on at around £14 million. I still take it that this is the Barclays 'mortgage' that was taken out with guarantees.

There are all sorts of theories about why the bank have acted as they did a couple of weeks back...I won't go into that although it does intrigue me.

Venkys have the cash to make a go of this still - if they want. But I can understand if they are miffed just now.

However if they have stopped their own funding [the £15 million part] then it is their own funeral.

Hang on what happens if they had a as part of the deal a pledge to put in 15m and they don't follow up on that? And is it their own funeral or ours?

No way would they attract anyone if all this is true so if anything Kean could walk because as it stands he's on a hiding to nowt.

You under estimate the pull of a club such as ours, even in these trying times.

They'd be queuing up for Keans job.

As for the bad news, if its Samba going then so be it, means Hanley will have to step up earlier than we'd like, but we'll manage.

I have asked the same question - the bottom line is it would be a broken promise. But no more. It's not like the Trustees can ask for their club back...or would want to.

And it would be their funeral plus a massive boot in the head for the fans.

I hope they grasp that point - even at a very bad time for their long-term planning.

Because Hanley will really be able to fill Sambas boots. Not asking for much are you?

As for queuing up for Keans job, who is "they"? If you're talking about decent managers then you're wrong. All we'll attract are people like Brian Laws and Ian Dowie.

Philip, any news on Saudi Bugshan? Could do with some hope;

A mistake that cost The Trsut millions of pounds, they also allowed Ince to spend £6m on Grella and Andrews, who have both been magnificent signings for us! Ince signed a 3 or 4 year contract, he was dismissed 6 months into that contract. You work out how much we lost out.

THE BIGGEST BLOT ON JW'S COPYBOOK EVER. WHAT HE WAS THINKING OF GOD ONLY KNOWS. I'D WAGER A LOT THAT INCE WOULD HAVE COME FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT NEVER MIND A 3 YEAR ONE.

Paying Sam £1m to keep us up is ridiculous. £250k or something reasonable would have sufficed but paying £1m was crazy. People will say in the grand scheme of things it has enabled us to keep our PL status, but I'm sure if you offered him £250k-£500k he would have done the same job.

BEST BIT OF BUSINESS IN RECENT TIMES. CHEAP. I WILL AGREE THAT IT WAS UNECESSARY COS HE'D HAVE COME IN THE SUMMER WITHOUT ANY BONUS. BLAME INITIALLY THE GORMLESS FACEBOOK WARRIORS FOR THAT ALMIGHTY COCK UP AND THEN SECONDLY JW FOR BEING DAFT ENOUGH TO TAKE ANY HEED OF THEM.

Appears to me like breach of contract!!

Breach of contract is a legal cause of action in which a binding agreement or bargained-for exchange is not honored by one or more of the parties to the contract by non-performance or interference with the other party's performance. If the party does not fulfill his contractual promise, or has given information to the other party that he will not perform his duty as mentioned in the contract or if by his action and conduct he seems to be unable to perform the contract, he is said to breach the contract.

It's not a case of who would want the managers job, it's who would these clowns in charge appoint. Going off their previous actions it could range from the owners 18 year old son to an agent.

Today's stories are simply staggering, even more so is the statement that once again answers nothing and is another holding statement. Most annoyingly off all, it does not answer the most important question, or even attempt too...... Have they defaulted on the mortgage payment?
