Kamy,

Could Venkys still sell the club, or are they willing to put their money in to save us, cos at the moment the situation can not be viable to keep doing as it is at the moment.

If someone was to approach them about a purchase of the club would they sell ?

Neither of the above...

"No sale of the club imminent, not actively looking to sell the club" - Kamy

August 13th Ewood will be like a powder keg.

Let's face it they aren't going to be around to witness it anyway. I would be surprised if they visit Ewood at all next season with the reception they will get.

They will probably only sell once they have cashed in on most of the playing assets that we have left at the club.

Nightmare on Venkys watch.

Begining to feel like one of those innocent chickens on Venkys death row in India.

They are not actively selling but yes if they are approached by someone then I assume they will listen to what they are offering.

They are not prepared to put any further money in this transfer window. So with the bank eating up the transfer budget, unless there are more sales then we are not going to spend much money, unless Venky's can sort out another credit line. The bank issue is huge for Venky's, they did not see it coming and is kinda of a slap in the face, I assume that other banks will also not offer them a credit line.

So Rovers are in huge trouble in terms of the playing squad, the squad is weaker than last season and if we have to sell to buy then in terms of numbers the squad situation will not improve. When you can't afford to sign the likes of Pavone then you are in real trouble.

Have had some communication with Venky's. No sale of the club imminent, not actively looking to sell the club, will do a story for this site hopefully Wednesday which will give background to what is happening.

I will say that even sat here in Spain I have managed to glean that the club is in a state of confusion at the moment. I am led to believe that Kean is fuming at promises not been kept and just as crucially senior players who told that there would be massive investment in playing squad to push for a top 8 finish have also started to ask Kean for answers.

While we are not in danger of becoming another Portsmouth this situation cannot continue for much longer. The statement today addressed very little.

Clever words. 'Imminent' could be defined in different ways (eg days, or week<s>). 'Not actively looking to sell' - maybe they weren't, however, different story if there's an offer on the table. Unless they have no business acumen at all, which of course cannot be ruled out, IMO, they would be crazy not to sell.

Why is it slightly better?

Not sure. At least it looks like the owners are mad about the bank, and are not actively looking to asset strip the club on purpose. What I don't get is how £18m can mess up the whole thing, when they seemed to have £49m to spend on one big transfer. Why not spend the remaining £30m on three good players, and we're good.

IF Rovers are supposed to be a marketing tool for Venkys they have to spend money.

Surely this is a time for us supporters to mobilise and make our voice heard?

At this crucial juncture of our clubs future I think we have a responsibility to a) hold the owners accountable for their decisions and b ) pressurise our owners into making the right decision.

They haven't put a single penny in!

Absolute disgrace. This is going to be a horrible season. There's no way Hoilett will sign a new deal when these clowns are in charge. Bye bye Samba as well.

We can only pray there's someone decent around the corner. I can't see it, but do you know if there's any truth in the Saudi Bugshan rumours?

Worst premier league owners. At least Mike Ashley put his money where his mouth was, even though the thought behind the decisions was badly lacking.

I don't personally see what selling Kalinic, to purchase an older player with a poorer scoring record like Pavone will accomplish. It's like robbing Peter to pay Paul. We're certain relegation favourites considering we're more than a few players short of a squad that narrowly avoided relegation last season.

Too late now. Some were advocating this last season but most found a reason not to. Villa away, Fulham away & particularly, Blackpool at home. Sorry to say it, but Rovers' supporters bottled it.

Wonder what our owners would do if our players refused to travel to India later this week. A Kean inspired mutiny !!!!

Does this mean they will not put any more funds in this season? BUT it will mean we are debt free, and they will put £10m next season and onwards? So if we just manage to stay up this season, it could be on the way up? any chance at all?

Massive damage has been done to our club but I don't think it is too late just yet.

The one thing that these owners are clearly sensitive to is bad PR and I think protesting fans would force them to take some sort of decisive action.

There is also now clearly a convergence of opinion between Rovers fans, even those who have been firm supporters of Venkys have come to the conclusion that their stewardship of our club is unacceptable.

If we dont apply any pressure on Venkys, we let them continue with their indecisive approach which is lurching us from one crisis to another.

We just need one fan to win a multi-rollover Euromillions draw and we'll be home and dry.

If that's me, after purchasing the club and clearing the debt, I'll also buy out Andrews and Grella's contracts and they can be my pastry chef and ice sculptor.

Rovers fans didn't bottle anything. This was totally unexpected.

This situation is horrific. Hope is diminishing by the day.

What worries me more than anything, is the fact we might have splurged a shed load of cash this summer which we had no right in spending. If our supposed £50m spree was ever close to being accurate, where in gods name was it coming from. I'd sooner have a sh1te team on the field and have a club to support, than risk it all for a few better players to watch in blue and white.

I know i will be in the vast majority here, but i simply cannot reach the levels of hatred some are displaying towards Venky's. I actually pity them. They have made some extremely bizarre decisions in their brief time here, but i think they're genuinely decent people. The charitable work they have done in their home town is testiment to this. However, they are way out of their depth here. It feels like watching a nature documentary when a cute baby seal gets tossed about by a killer whale. I can't hate them, i just wish they had some means of fighting back. I can't see that they have. They seem to be rich outside of football terms and i wouldn't want them to lose their family wealth. Because if this comes into doubt, i'm sure they'll strip us of anything worth flogging and keep a low profile back home whilst licking their wounds. They have no sentimental attachment to Rovers like we do.

The only solution would be to sell us to another owner. But how likely is that? It took 4 years last time, i can't see it being any better this time around.

I feel sick to the very pit of my stomach about this. My Rovers have heart and spirit. But it feels like we could easily go out this season without a whimper.

As a group of fans we can highlight the issues and create greater public scrutiny/accountability for the decisions Venkys are taking through public protest.

This is the only way to try and positively influence Venkys decision making process.

The fans don't have to go out without a whimper.

There is a potential route out of this problem.

More will emerge tomorrow.

Don't go ringing Samaritans just yet.

There is a big test of the owners and the staff they have set up going on here.

Things could turn if the right strokes are pulled in the next 24 hours.

I was about to go to sleep down and out but this is the best news I have heard in weeks regarding rovers however it is not even news. I think that shows how low things really are right now.
