chaddyrovers Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 There is a potential route out of this problem. More will emerge tomorrow. Don't go ringing Samaritans just yet. There is a big test of the owners and the staff they have set up going on here. Things could turn if the right strokes are pulled in the next 24 hours. I really hope you are right Nicko. we need a miracle now to get out of this mess. If the owners are staying then they better put some of their own money in now. I hope they realise that our squad is weaker then last season, and will allow us to sign 4 quality players. Just been told that Kean will be removed from his position before Friday and has been put on "gardening leave" until then. Jensen's rolling contract will not be renewed at the end of the month either. Seems that Mrs Desai is far from happy with Kean, Barry Mcintosh, coincidentally Pavone's agent (and formicas but hes looking for new representation so Ive been told) and Kentaro. Mcintosh also working for Kean which has seen Kentaro drop their support this has left him open to the bullet. Huber recommended that he was removed but rovers have not only removed kean but broke off all ties with Kentaro, as Kentaro's stance on kean has made them look foolish and any deals in the pipeline are now cancelled until Mrs Desai's primary choice for replacement, Mark Hughes takes the reigns. She is determined to get Mark Hughes back at Ewood after this disasterous agreement with Kentaro and are hoping to tie that up before Monday! I hope you are telling the truth BomBom about Mrs D wanted to get Mark Hughes. They would be the BEST SIGNING they could do. The fans would be happy with that and would attract more fans to come in. I just hope we are not in for a big let down!!! Believe what you will but they have money, just not in the clubs accounts at present. They have just spent 15 million on upgrading their chicken operations in India. Mrs Desai is furious with Kentaro for leading her up the garden path so to speak with regards to Kean, his contract will be paid up as I understand it.They wont be thowing millions at Hughes but there is money there for transfers and they are aware of his track record in the market and are willing to trust him more than Kean, who has cost us at least one transfer if what I have heard is correct, namely the player stating he would rather retire than play for him! Whether Hughes will come, I dont know but they are making a push for him big! As for sources, I could name him, but he would just deny it anyhow. He has sent me an email as he is aware of my sources and was happy for me to get it out on a site that WASNT BRFCS, believe it or not but seeing that this is the biggest Rovers fansite, this news needed outing to that place, besides, we all need a cheer up after the last few weeks! Hughes will be promised full control of transfers and this was on Samba recommendation and he is happy to stay should this happen The owners have NOW realise that Kentaro have used them and lead them up the garden path. I think alot of fans would be happy if Kean goes. A manager should have full control of all transfers at any club. That should be the way a football club should be run. If we have any chance of getting Mark Hughes back, then he will has to have a decent transfer pot to spend and be allow to bring back his own coaching staff like Mark Bowen, etc. I wonder if Samba has spoken to the owners behind the manager back, to say they should get rid of Kean and Jensen, because he is not the right manager for the club and if you bring back Mark Hughes then Samba will stay. I just hope this is true???? I will be praying alot today!

keaney23 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Fulham who are well run okay not ambitious but the set up at fulham was there. You can't deny that. As much as I have always wanted kean out a change of manager won't fix this sinking ship.
Craigman Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Fulham who are well run okay not ambitious but the set up at fulham was there. You can't deny that. As much as I have always wanted kean out a change of manager won't fix this sinking ship. Hughes left Fulham ! jol is their manager.
keaney23 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Hughes left Fulham ! jol is their manager. Really? Of course I know that my point is why did he leave fulham , a well run club. Becuase Mark has ambition and because he's stupid when it comes to his own career at times. He wanted to make himself available for villa we can guess but that never worked out. If Hughes were to come il be the happiest I've been since 2006 but I just can't see him leaving fulham for those reason and coming back here in what's a mess also were is the money going to come from to sack Kean bring in Hughes and a new backroom team. I want to see it but right now it's hard to look past the currently heap were in
Ray-Von Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 "Rovers Insider" on Twitter has just stated that there are two debts secured against the club - one on assets, the other against TV money.
Craigman Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Kean is not leaving, they couldn't afford it. He is their main man, and with a potential trip to India this week, who would take charge of that game if he has gone ?
philipl Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 "Rovers Insider" on Twitter has just stated that there are two debts secured against the club - one on assets, the other against TV money. This "news" has been on this MB since the start of January. The one secured on the income was the one which expired on 30 June and is the one the bank wants repaid out of the Phil Jones transfer.
BPF Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 "Venkys want to follow Jack's model by employing an experienced manager...." *Reality* - They fired an experienced manager and employed a complete rookie... I will be amazed beyond all measure if they get rid of Kean. I very much doubt that the firing of Kean is what Nicko is referring to, he rates Keano as a manager.
chaddyrovers Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Kean is not leaving, they couldn't afford it. He is their main man, and with a potential trip to India this week, who would take charge of that game if he has gone ? I don't care. Kean is clueless and should have never be appoint at rovers. I would just put Nelsen in charge with Brunskill as assistant till we get a new manager in.
Taggart Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Wow, what a rollercoaster of a rid ethis is turnign out to be - really is remarkable what is going on at our club. Have you ever reported on such strange goings on before Nicko ? Bizarre times. Anyone know just how far below season ticket sales we are from last year ? Worrying, very worrying, I really did believe full heartedly that Venkys were going to splash the cash and exciting times coming back to Rovers, looks like I will be sadly disappointed - not impressed
philipl Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Pretty well all of what bombom has written about what has happened in the past stacks up with what I have heard. However, whether Hughes is coming/ would be willing to come under Venky's watch is a very open question. The stop on Pavone in such brutal circumstances certainly points to dramatic developments very soon.
beerwins Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 If what you say is right Bombom I will give you a big kiss It will be a massive step in the right direction and will show that Venky's at least have a willingness to learn which I did'nt think would happen. One thing to note though is that Hughes was'nt overkeen on bringing youth through but he certainly has an eye for a bargain.
Andy Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I will be amazed beyond all measure if they get rid of Kean. I very much doubt that the firing of Kean is what Nicko is referring to, he rates Keano as a manager. More fool him. The sooner we're rid of the chancer the better. I have to say, if this is true, massive credit to Mrs D.
BangkokRover Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 More fool him. The sooner we're rid of the chancer the better. I have to say, if this is true, massive credit to Mrs D. So the last 24 hours people have been waking up to the fact we have no money BUT now Hughes is coming back like a Messiah?
john.leigh Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 What a fabulous story this is turning out to be - if it was a movie you just wouldn't believe it! There's more twists and turns than a twisty turny thing!! Firstly we can't even afford to sign Pavone becasue we're so damn downright poor BUT WAIT!! We're CHOOSING not to sign Pavone because Sparky is gunna be the new boss & will save us all Maybe it's all just CGI & a blue screen? My dis-belief is still suspended
OJRovers Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Maybe there is money but they don't want to give it to Keantaro?
brian_gallagher85 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 One thing to note though is that Hughes was'nt overkeen on bringing youth through but he certainly has an eye for a bargain. He gave the likes of Sergio and Treacy a chance but they just weren't good enough for one reason or another. He also brought Olsson to the club.
beerwins Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 So the last 24 hours people have been waking up to the fact we have no money BUT now Hughes is coming back like a Messiah? I dont think that is the case, people are angry at the situation Venky's have put us in financially but that can be worked out, it is whether they rectify the problems that put us this position or if they decide to throw their toys out of the pram and take their ball home. Employing a good manager and sending Kentaro packing would be a big step in the right direction and would show they are learning, I for one am not happy at all at the position they have put the club in and make no mistake it is all their fault but if they do this then at least they will have got one thing right.
bobsterbrfc Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 If Hughes came back I would dance a jig of joy all the way to Ewood. Unfortunately I suspect Sparky has more sense than to get involved in this shambles...
BangkokRover Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I 100% understand Hughes is a proven manager but the sums don't add up? Unless of course people are now saying that Venkys are going to put their hands in their pockets and pay off Barclays etc?
mattyc2422 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Anyone get the feeling we are all part of some of science experiment? This stiuff is crazy.
koi Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I'd just like to put on record that whatever the outcome of all this rumouring I knew it was going to happen and will fit the facts to suit to prove it. Thank you.
jim mk2 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 If we are in a mess however responsibility lies fairly and squarely 100% with Rothschilds and the Walker Trust who were charged with passing the Club on into safe hands - in particular the Trustees who were of course responsible for the well being of Jack's businesses. Rubbish. Venky's is a well-established and respected business on the sub-continent that is quoted on the Indian stock exchange with £x billions of turnover. The Trust had every reason to expect the family to be safe hands and cannot be held responsible for their subsequent poor decisions and at times sheer incompetence that has got Rovers into this current mess. You keep blaming the Trust but you should also be reminded that Rovers enjoyed their longest period in the top flight under their stewardship. Wake up.
